Vintages #: 18685
750ml bottle
Fresh & Fruity

The Winery of Good Hope is more than just a winery. It’s an approach. An alternative way of thinking, being and doing. They're not into all the flashy stuff that’s often associated with the industry. They want to make quality wine with a conscience. At the cellar on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, they make great wines using traditional, natural viticultural and winemaking methods. They're also fully accredited for environmental, ethical, and social-upliftment practices. That’s why they call themselves The Winery of Good Hope.

Chenin is an extremely versatile grape, able to make excellent wines in many different guises, from Late harvest to Straw wine to classic dry Chenin and even Méthode Champenoise. This example is a wonderfully lively, intense, fruity and beautifully balanced dry Chenin Blanc. Aromas of green apples and white peach invite the juicy, yet taut palate. A depth of fruit is what sets this wine apart. It shows great persistence of flavour and freshness that linger on the palate long after the wine has gone. Very individual, the character of this wine makes it a perfect companion to warm summer days and long balmy evenings

A to Z Wineworks Chardonnay Oregon 2018
$22.95 / bottle
Release Date March 20, 2021
Vintages #: 269258
750ml bottle
Fresh & Lively

A to Z Wineworks was started in 2002 by Oregon wine industry veterans: Deb Hatcher (Eyrie), Bill Hatcher (Domaine Drouhin Oregon), Sam Tannahill (Archery Summit) and Cheryl Francis (Chehalem). The two couples worked in the Hatcher's kitchen to build the original blend honoured by Food & Wine magazine as the Best American Pinot Noir under $20. Recognition for A to Z wines as offering dependable quality for great value continues today making A to Z the top-selling Oregon wine brand.

The delicately coloured A to Z Oregon Chardonnay has a fresh, lively nose like fresh cut apples and distinct tropical notes (honeydew, kiwi, quince, kumquat, Meyer lemon, pineapple) and undertones of spring flowers, lemongrass and marjoram. The juicy, vibrant palate has a touch of minerality, something like wet stones drizzled with honey, and a natural fruit sweetness building length and presence. Tank aging on lees gives this wine a creamy texture and an interesting, broad mid-palate.

Pairs well with fresh, vibrant, and lively foods that sparkle with acidity like Baja fish tacos or heavier foods that need a bit of a high note lift such as roasted monkfish and trout.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Domaine Charly Nicolle Chablis Per Aspera AOP 2018
$29.95 / bottle
Release Date March 20, 2021
Vintages #: 18469
750ml bottle
Crisp & Mineral

Arguably one of the best producers in Chablis - Domaine Charly Nicolle was created with less than one hectare in 1979 by Robert Nicolle and Josette Laroche, who can both trace their history from winemaking families in Fleys back to the late 19th century. Since the creation of the Domaine, they have increased the size of their vineyards bit by bit, and currently the Domaine produces wine from 20 hectares of vines. In 1999, they were joined by their 20 year old son Charly, who had just graduated from the lycée viticole. Today, Charly is officially in charge of the Domaine together with his wife Lucie, but Robert is still out in the vines nearly every day. The largest holdings of the Domaine are in AOC Chablis, located for the most part around the village of Fleys. The vinification is on the lees in stainless steel tanks, which produces a house style that is both fresh and vibrant, but also rich on the mid-palate.

Hues of yellow and white gold with hints of pale green compose a brilliant, bright and clear robe. Intoxicating perfumes of summer flowers and fruit fill the nose. Its character has traits of oysters and shells. A Chablis aroma couldn’t be more authentic than this.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Paddy Borthwick Chardonnay Wairarapa 2018
$24.95 / bottle
Release Date March 6, 2021
Vintages #: 507517
750ml bottle
Mineral & Fresh

Proudly family owned, the Borthwick vineyard is an established vineyard situated in Gladstone, the heart of the Wairarapa. Producing quality wine for over a decade, Paddy, an experienced wine maker, has gained a reputation for producing consistently great wines. The twenty seven hectares of vines bordering the Ruamahunga River are growing on stony, free draining, alluvial soils, with a micro climate giving warm daily temperatures, cool nights and low rainfall; perfect conditions for producing distinctive, quality wines.

Lifted fruit aromas of nectarines, apricots and pineapple have integrated with fermentation in oak to produce a wine of great texture. Extended yeast contact has leant itself to a creamy palate, with almond and toasted bread aromas. This wine shows depth of fruit and great palate weight that is enjoyable now or cellar for the next 6 years.

A great wine to pair with seafood, roast chicken, soft, creamy cheeses or grilled fish.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Sister's Run Epiphany Shiraz McLaren Vale 2018
$17.95 / bottle
Release Date March 6, 2021
Vintages #: 269464
750ml bottle
Full & Smooth

Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like.

Ripe white chocolate fruit aromatics begin in a lifted and pleasantly powerful way; some spice bouquet wafts in from deft oak, and then zephyrs of violets, fresh green herbs, star anise, and eucalyptus float by, at once there and then not there. There is a superb and beautifully underplayed supporting cast, however, of round, smooth
tannic grip, of warm vibrant freshly milled black pepper, of stewed plums doused with a shot of pastis and finished with a grating of dark chocolate.

The balance between richness and tannin, between power and an underlying acid tension and edge, make this red wine almost too drinkable. You could serve this with as much ease alongside an eggplant laksa or a barbecued piece of peppered chicken. Don't be afraid to cellar some of this wine too. There's reward ahead.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Trisaetum Chardonnay Coast Range Estate Willamette Valley 2017
$58.00 / bottle
Release Date March 4, 2021
Vintages #: 17720
750ml bottle
Fresh & Complex

In 2003, Andrea and James Frey founded Trisaetum in one of the few places where climate, soil, and entrepreneurial spirit combine to produce some of the world's best wines. Today, the family owned and operated winery in the heart of Oregon's Ribbon Ridge AVA produces small lots of acclaimed Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay from its three estate vineyards.

Since the family lives on site, James and Andrea have been committed to farming in a manner that creates a healthy and diverse ecosystem. This includes preservation of the natural habitats that surround their vineyards, dry-farming, never using herbicides, never tilling, extensive composting, bee-friendly viticulture and hand-harvesting every cluster.

The Coast Range Estate Chardonnay shows lovely brightness on the nose, with flinty and petrol tones that combine with the citrus rind and sourdough accents. The freshness entices with bright Challah bread, lemon zest and hints of saline dusted roasted hazelnuts leading up to the long finish. Enjoy this fantastic bottling over the next decade.

Pair this wine with smoked salmon or Dungeness crab cakes or scallops with a Meyer lemon puree.

This product is part of the LCBO March Classics Catalogue. It will take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered from its release date.

Sister's Run Calvary Hill Shiraz Barossa Valley 2018
$19.95 / bottle
Release Date December 12, 2020
Vintages #: 222018
750ml bottle
Full & Smooth

Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like.

Calvary Hill produces real depth - diving-bell like depth. And there is that classic Barossa dark, salted chocolate aroma and flavour. Cinnamon, nutmeg, liqueured chocolate, but all bound by cloak of savouriness. The fruit heft is perfectly balanced by keen acidity, providing overarching structure. Indeed, this is an organized wine, with architectural qualities.

Great richness but great line and balance. We imagine drinking this wine with hard local cheeses the cheese is optional.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Reynvaan Family Vineyards Syrah The Contender Walla Walla 2017
$161.00 / bottle
Release Date October 29, 2020
Vintages #: 17093
750ml bottle
Rich & Smooth

A small family winery (Mike, Gale, Amanda, Angela and Matt) that produces Rhône-style red and white wines from two vineyard properties in the Walla Walla Valley. They produce wines only from varietals that they love and farm themselves. From their first vintage in 2007, the wines have been remarkable with a consistent complexity, depth of flavour, finish and distinctive terroir. Almost everything they do is by hand, planting each vine in the vineyards, trellising, pruning, dropping fruit and then picking and sorting the berries at harvest.

The density and power of this wine is stunning. There is weight without feeling heavy, incredible complexity of blackberry cobbler, star anise, ripe plumb, saddle leather, Asian spice, oyster shell and wet gravel. For Contender fans, this is up there with the 2009 vintage where the 5% of Marsanne shows through giving it a viscous texture.

Pair this wine with succulent BBQ ribs, braised meats, venison or rich stews.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Radford Dale Chardonnay Stellenbosch 2018
$31.95 / bottle
Release Date October 3, 2020
Vintages #: 227223
750ml bottle
Restrained & Mineral

Radford Dale is one of South Africa’s leading independent wineries. Based on the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, they specialize in producing site-specific, natural wines.

With a strong influence from Alex Dale’s upbringing in Burgundy, the making of this Chardonnay is also adapted to their particular conditions, specifically this ocean-facing parcel of Stellenbosch – the mineral geology and temperate maritime climate both lending much to the equation. Restraining acidity, citrus flavours and invisible, integrated oak, is the introverted side of its character; ripeness and great persistence on the palate the more expansive side. Genuinely mineral, with a crisp lime-citrus edge and an elegant yet intense durability. A Chardonnay striving to be individual, focused on backbone not brawn.

Try this wine with salmon with roasted shiitakes and mushroom sauce, seafood, poultry or a creamy risotto.

Meyer Family McLean Creek Road Chardonnay 2018
$42.00 / bottle
Vintages #: 298240
750ml bottle
Creamy & Rich

Meyer Family Vineyards have been crafting wines in the Okanagan Valley since 2006. Voted one of the top wineries in Canada, they focus on small lot productions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir drawing heavily from Burgundian influences.

This is classy chardonnay from Jak Meyer; whose wines have been turning heads for quite a few years now, especially those of the judges at the WineAlign National Wine Awards. The 2018 McLean Creek bottling from Okanagan Falls is beautifully bright and appealingly spartan, with minimal oak and lees influence in favour of bright citrus, peach and apple blossom flavours. But it's really the palate that shines with its taut acids and laser sharp delineation, not to mention the impressively lingering finish.

Top notch, and top value, classy wine. Pair this Chardonnay with any chicken dish, baked, grilled, or fried. It would also pair nicely with seafood.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Meyer Family Tribute Series Chardonnay 2018
$43.95 / bottle
Vintages #: 16073
750ml bottle
Creamy & Rich

Meyer Family Vineyards have been crafting wines in the Okanagan Valley since 2006. Voted one of the top wineries in Canada, they focus on small lot productions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir drawing heavily from Burgundian influences. This is from Meyer's Old Main Road vineyard in Naramata.

Each year the Tribute Chardonnay honours a Canadian cultural figure, in 2018 modernist painter Gordon Applebe Smith. The Old Main chardonnay always strikes a riper, richer note and no change here even in the cooler vintage. The nose billows with ripe peach fruit, peat, spice and vanilla from French oak. It has sense of fullness but the 2018 acidity runs neatly through to the end. Excellent length.

Pair it with any chicken dish, baked, grilled, or fried. It would also pair nicely with seafood.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.
