This Malbec comes from the highest area of the traditional Lujan de Cuyo, Las Compuertas. It is made with grapes coming from a single vineyard that was planted in 1927 ungrafted. The soils are alluvial, sandy and clay loamy, one meter high with a gravel and boulder subsoil that sometimes appears on the surface and where we maintain the traditional flood irrigation.
The Malbec ferments with wild yeast at a temperature between 25º to 27º C. Gentle punch down by hand occurs in order to obtain a slow extraction. Aging continues in French oak barrels and oak foudres for more than a year.

Château de La Chaize is among the oldest, most historic estates in Burgundy’s Beaujolais region. Cared for by the same family for nearly three and a half centuries, the estate has been passed on to new owners, the Gruy family, who are equally committed to managing the estate with the utmost care, while implementing an ambitious environmental plan.
Pouilly-Fuissé lies in southern Burgundy’s Maconnais region and is produced only from Chardonnay grapes. Vineyards are planted on hillsides containing limestone-rich clay soils with a granitic subsoil. The appellation was established in 1936 and covers roughly 800 ha at altitudes around 200 - 300m a.s.l. Wines tend to be full-bodied, ripe and elegant.
For this wine, the grapes were hand harvested from a selection of different vineyard sites within Pouilly-Fuissé from ~50-year-old vines. Traditional fermentation takes place at a low temperature (62.6° F), and malolactic fermentation is blocked.

2019 marks the return of a vintage that is typical of Beaujolais, showcasing all of the Gamay grape’s crisp freshness. The Brulhier vineyard is 0.5 hectares of vines on a small, steep parcel that backs up to the southern side of Mont Brouilly. The vines thrive at an altitude between 400 and 425 meters and enjoy full southern exposure. The soil contains Brouilly diorite (andesite) also referred to as "blue stone".
Revealing broad aromatic expression and length, the nose abounds with aromas of black fruits, red cherries and sweet spices, while the palate revels an added mineral-driven graphite note alongside the lush fruit. Seamless tannins and a fine bead of acidity, this wine is light on its feet but by no means lacks substance.
This will be a great accompaniment to any charcuterie board and will particularly do well with pates, terrines and rillettes.

Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like.
A perfect Cabernet entry. Alert bright fruit. Direct, full and fine and precise Cabernet softness. Rich mouth filling soft fruit, especially cedar and cassis. Juicy round blackberry sweetness, and red currant tartness tempered with some taut but typical Cabernet tannin.
This is a wine for grilled lamb burgers or steaks done medium-rare.

Stéphane Aviron can be considered a pioneer is his approach to winemaking in Beaujolais, however he would just tell you that he’s simply returning to the traditional practices that have always made fantastic Gamay wines. Sustainable viticulture, extremely old vines and classic Burgundian techniques.
Situated in the north of the Beaujolais region, Moulin-à-Vent is one of the most famous crus and named after the local windmill – the literal translation of the name. This wine has expressive black cherry aromas and firm structure in the mouth. Its mineral underpinning and firm but ripe tannins help it age perhaps longer than any of the Beaujolais crus.
Expressive black & blue fruit and pretty florality on the nose, along with hints of savoury dried herbs and graphite. The palate is juicy and elegantly concentrated, suggesting notes of black raspberry and cherry flavours with spices that unfold with each sip. Violet petals linger into the finish, which shows a lightly dusty, tannic structure. A very pretty wine.
Try alongside dishes like osso buco or tournedos rossini.

Heirloom Vineyards was conceived in vintage 2000, when a young winemaking student caught the eye of a silly old wine judge. A love story ensued inspired by two vows: To preserve the best of tradition, the old world of wine and our unique old vineyards and to champion the best clones of each variety planted in the most appropriate sites embracing the principals of organic and biodynamic farming.
This Heirloom Vineyards Shiraz was produced from the best Barossa Shiraz Vineyard whose clones and viticulture embody the very best in cutting edge as well as old school viticulture and winemaking. Hand tended vines, sorted bunch-by-bunch, naturally open fermented, basket pressed and stored in French oak barriques from bespoke coopers.
Expect notes of black plums, spices of nutmeg, mace and bay leaf, alongside savoury soy, olives and hints of rose petals. Spicy and textural on the palate with hidden depths of concentrated blackberry and reduced plum with a sliver of dark chocolate. The rich fruit is checked by the bright acidity and alcohol, with supple tannins unfolding with each sip.
This is a big game wine -think venison! Or try with sausage and horseradish, or anything with plenty of pepper, or a hint of chill.

Robert, whose family is originally from Hungary, was born in Canada and grew up on a farm. After some years working as an architect, he found his passion in winemaking, and relocated to his grandparent's country to start a winery.
This Rajnai Riesling comes from a 45 years old vineyards in the outskirts of Mount Saint George in Hungary. This variety has found an excellent partner in this area, which conveys its elegant and volcanic traits perfectly. The wine is partially fermented in stainless steel tanks, which helps to maintain a vibrant acidity; and in big and neutral Hungarian barrels, which gives a special creaminess to the wine. On the nose, the oak is very well integrated into a range of aromas that goes from a very lively lemon and lime to orchard fruits notes. On the palate, it is beautifully round, with weight but with a zippy acidity and reminiscences of citrus pith.
A great pairing for spicy dishes. Strong Indian and Asian spices are a perfect match with Riesling because of its delicate sweetness and vibrant acidity.

Fabulas is a collaboration between a group of farmers, friends and a fabulous winemaker. The vineyards of Fabulas winery are located in the municipality of Pretoro (602 m a.s.l.) in the Majella National Park. Here you can really feel the influence of the massif mountain that gives its name to the park, and even though only 35 km far away there is the sea its mitigation effect is almost absent.
The Passerina vine derives its name from the small size of the berries and from the fact that the sparrows show a particular predilection for its grapes, characterized by a particularly tasty pulp. Widespread in the Marche and Abruzzo, it has only recently been relaunched as it has been forgotten and replaced by the more productive Trebbiano.

Perfect aperitif wine and excellent with fish starters, seafood, white meats and medium-aged cheeses.

In 2003, Andrea and James Frey founded Trisaetum in one of the few places where climate, soil, and entrepreneurial spirit combine to produce some of the world's best wines. Today, the family owned and operated winery in the heart of Oregon's Ribbon Ridge AVA produces small lots of acclaimed Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay from its three estate vineyards.
Since the family lives on site, James and Andrea have been committed to farming in a manner that creates a healthy and diverse ecosystem. Pronounced aromas of black currant, dark cherry and plum surrounded by dusty spice notes of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon. Broad on the palate with a pleasing lift that supports the weight and texture of this wine. This is very Ribbon Ridge with a fullness and fruit-forward character that goes on and on.

Refined and detailed, with vibrant cherry and pomegranate flavours that draw in accents of green tea and cardamom, building toward broad-shouldered tannins. Medium-bodied with supportive acidity and great length on the finish, this Pinot delivers on all fronts.
Thanks to the versatility of flavours and overall structure of Pinot Noir, the possibilities are endless when it comes to food pairing. Try matching the savoury components of Pinot with game meats, or compliment the fruitiness with soft cheeses or creamy sauces.

When Michel Muré settled in Rouffach and planted his vineyard in the 17th century, he surely had little conception of the beautiful adventure that he was setting in motion for his descendants. In 1935, Alfred Muré extended the property with the addition of the 12-hectare (25-acre) wholly owned Clos Saint Landelin, foreseeing already its potential for exceptional quality. He replanted the terraces, ideally situated with their sunny exposure and shelter from the rain.
Nowadays it is Alfred’s grandson René, together with his children Véronique and Thomas, the 11th and 12th generations of the family, who are responsible for running this exceptional, wholly-owned vineyard and its neighbouring terroirs, using biodynamic methods.
Sheltered by the highest peaks of the Vosges mountains, this terroir receives an exceptional amount of sunshine. The mainly limestone subsoil ensures good drainage. The exposure of the hillsides goes from east to south-west. In 2005 the INAO (Institut National des Appellations d’Origine) acknowledge the denomination « Côte de Rouffach » as a communal appellation.
This dry riesling has lively notes of lemon and clementine with a spritz of white peach and blossoms on the nose. Beautiful freshness on the palate thanks to zippy, mineral- driven acidity balanced by flavours of crunchy stone fruits and lemon/lime zest.
A very flexible wine for any kind of food. Excellent with East Asian cuisines.

Metzer Family Wines was established in 2006. Their aim is to produce wines that are expressive and individual, employing artisanal, non-interventionist principles in the vinification process. The guiding principle driving this process is that the wine-making must always respect the fruit. Their passion is Chenin blanc - With its versatility and immense range of flavours, it is a variety which lends itself so naturally to minimalist winemaking.
The grapes are ethically cultivated, respecting both the environment and human resources. In the cellar, a great emphasis is placed on the minimum handling of fruit, and no mechanical interventions with pumps, filters and reverse osmosis machines are ever used in the process. Fermentation by indigenous yeasts, alive on the grapes and resident in the cellar, lead to long, stable extraction times. Wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve the "life-forces" from vineyard to bottle.
100% Chenin blanc. A single-vineyard wine from a bush vine parcel planted in 1980. The vineyard is situated a mere 4 km’s from the shores of False Bay. The vineyard’s pure fruit quality radiates pear, white peach and lemon. Bright stone fruit follows through on the palate which is marked by a rich texture and a soft, coated acidity. The wine has a persistent finish showing subtle hints of white spice and orange blossom.
Fresh and fruity Chenin Blanc goes great with vegetable dishes or salads but this wine also pairs with rich fish or cream-based chicken entrées.

The Cortonesi family has owned the La Mannella farm in Montalcino for decades and are devoted to the production of Brunello di Montalcino. Marco Cortonesi started making wine in 1990 from his family’s vineyards. He now runs the estate with his son Tommaso.
The La Mannella property abuts the Montosoli hill, and the Brunello is assembled from two east/southeast-facing parcels planted in 1998. Replete with dark berries, the nose offers intriguing accents of sweet, fragrant herbs, cedar, incense and sage blossoms.
If you ever wanted a Brunello di Montalcino for your cellar to age for decades, then buy the 2016 vintage. This vintage marks the second great year in a row for Brunello di Montalcino and can easily be described as one of the greatest vintages in recent memory.
We recommend pairing this Brunello with bold meals: oxtail, a beautiful steak, rich stews or game paired with mushroom sauces. The spicy aromas of the wine will enhance the flavours of the food.

Nicolas Potel is an iconic producer in Burgundy. He grew up in a family dedicated entirely to wine; and after gaining some experience internationally, he started his own project in the late 90's.
Founded in 2009, Maison Roche de Bellene offers a complete range of wines, with an emphasis on individual terroirs from vieilles vignes (old vines - 40 years or older) that are farmed responsibly. All of the growers that Nicolas Potel works with are either organic certified or farming according to the principles of lutte raisonée (“sustainable viticulture”). This enables Potel to consistently produce the expressive, terroir-driven style that is his vision.
Rich and expressive Chablis with excellent weight on the palate, a kiss of oak and mouthwatering acidity. The aromatic profile shows a complex structure, offering notes of orchard and stone fruits, accentuated by chalky minerality along with delicate spice and honeysuckle flavours. The acidity adds vigour to the palate and cuts through the density of the wine, keeping the fruit fresh and lifted all while maintaining a soft, pleasing texture. This wine has great ageing potential but may also be drunk young.
The lightly creamy texture of this wine will do well with similarly creamy sauces. Try with rich, buttery lobster or chicken dressed with beurre blanc sauce.

Fresne-Ducret is rich in family history and has been rooted in the premier cru village of Villedommange since the mid 1800s. Originally growing grapes for the big champagne houses, it wasn’t until the end of the second world war that the family decided to make their own wine. The tradition carries on today with Pierre Fresne and his wife Daniella (an Oakville ex-pat). Their philosophy is to produce wines that best exemplify the terroir of Villedommange, and they do this with sustainability in mind.
An adventure, like the one undertaken by those who crossed the ocean to discover the New World. Made from grapes from a single year, it is a unique and free interpretation of the Fresne Ducret style, balancing freshness and aromatic complexity. Crystalline with a pale golden colour. Good effervescence and a stable “cordon” after serving. The nose is fresh, dominated by floral notes with hints of citrus. In the mouth, a savoury dimension with a balanced astringency, with aromas of orange zest and honey. The wine is lively, dynamic, and moreish, a vintage still in its youth.
Serve with goat cheese, small game, or rhubarb millefeuille.

Located in Rouffach, the Clos Saint Landelin, fully owned by the Muré family, covers an area of 12 hectares. It marks the southern end of the Grand Cru Vorbourg. Located at the exit of the valley, it is exposed to the south and benefits from a good amount of sunshine until late in the afternoon. The north and west winds ensure that the vines remain healthy until harvest time.
This wine evokes notes of ripe peaches and yellow apricots, underscored by a faint smokey minerality. The palate reveals delicate notes of toasted almonds and spice flavours alongside the stone fruits, with poised acidity that cuts through the lightly creamy texture and carries fruity freshness into the finish.
This Pinot Gris is the ideal companion for poultry, truffles or hard cheese.

Schild Estate own over 134ha of estate vineyards throughout the Southern Barossa including some of the oldest vines in the world planted in 1847. Spread across 11 unique sites they produce a range of premium fruit. Having such an intimate knowledge of these site allows the winemaking and vineyard teams to achieve an absolute synergy from vineyard to winery to wine.
Named after Ed Schild’s grandson, Angus, and the Scottish word ‘Brae’ meaning
a steep hillside, this vineyard is located 4 km north of the Lyndoch Township.
This relatively young vineyard is managed to suit the soil profile and terroir
ensuring premium fruit is produced. The vineyard was purchased by the Schild
family in December 2001 on the day Angus Schild was born.
Deep ruby, purple in colour. Aromatically the wine quickly shows intense but
bright dark berry fruit notes with a hint of inviting creaminess and spice around
the edges. On the palate a smooth mouth-filling attack of layered plums,
blackcurrant and dark chocolate notes so often seen in this wine across vintages
appears where it is surrounded by a fine tannin frame.
Pair this wine with grilled or roast beef especially served rare or with a pepper sauce. Also, barbecued ribs, sausages or smoked brisket or grilled vegetables. For the cooler months, this wine begs for a rich osso bucco dish.

Winemaker and proprietor Robert was born in Canada and grew up on a farm, though his family is originally from Hungary. After some years working as an architect, he found his passion in winemaking, and relocated to his grandparent's home country to start a winery.
The estate is located just a few kilometers north of Lake Balaton, near Mount Saint George. This is an ancient and little known volcanic butte in Europe’s Pannon basin. Mount Saint George is cloaked with vineyards, both old vines and more recent plantings, many of which are being cultivated organically. Robert Gilvesy's goal in the vineyard and with wine culture is to authentically preserve and express the unique character of the mountain through his wines.
This sparkling is made from Furmint grapes sourced from the organic Váradi vineyard. Aromas of white-fleshed and citrus fruit with hints of toast. Delicate on the palate with a creamy texture, fine bubbles and yeasty notes complementing the aromas. A great example on how Furmint is well-suited to make sparkling wine, especially from volcanic soil.
Furmint complements herb-crusted poultry or fish. You can also try it with delicate Asian dishes like sushi or pan-fried dumplings.

Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute - only for emergencies - like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like!
