Ramsay Cabernet Sauvignon North Coast 2017
$31.95 / bottle
Release Date January 23, 2021
Vintages #: 16458
750ml bottle
Rich & Bold

Kent Rasmussen truly believes that the North Coast has the perfect terroir for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. He spent years searching the appellation for the best "vineyards farmed by really engaged farmers who value quality above all else". For this wine, most of the fruit comes from Sonoma, but there are a couple vineyard lots from Napa Valley, and Lake County as well.

This Cabernet smells like cherries and red currant, vanilla, hazelnut and subtle undertones of spices. These are carried forward to the palate with bright, rich fruit flavour with plenty of soft tannins.

This wine is the perfect partner for rich grilled meats, peppery sauces and dishes full of flavour!

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

750ml bottle
Rich & Powerful

Overlooking both Château Cheval Blanc and Pétrus, this is a beautifully located château that produces outstanding, affordable Claret. Château Corbin was established in 1600 and is one of the older in the appellation. It was a large estate comprising 480 hectares which, at the time of the French Revolution, was divided into different estates. Château Corbin now comprises 23 hectares; 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Jacques Rambeaud who owns the estate is a fourth generation owner.

Succumb to this garnet-coloured wine that has brick-colored highlights. Fragrances of black coffee, aniseed sweets and candied black fruits emerge from the glass. On the palate, it tastes of red fruits with brandy and is smooth and supple. The finish is powerful with enjoyable tannins that are thick and full-bodied.

Pair this wine with a Sunday roast or grilled ribeye with classic accompaniments.

Sister's Run Epiphany Shiraz McLaren Vale 2018
$17.95 / bottle
Release Date December 12, 2020
Vintages #: 269464
750ml bottle
Full & Smooth

Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like.

Ripe white chocolate fruit aromatics begin in a lifted and pleasantly powerful way; some spice bouquet wafts in from deft oak, and then zephyrs of violets, fresh green herbs, star anise, and eucalyptus float by, at once there and then not there. There is a superb and beautifully underplayed supporting cast, however, of round, smooth
tannic grip, of warm vibrant freshly milled black pepper, of stewed plums doused with a shot of pastis and finished with a grating of dark chocolate.

The balance between richness and tannin, between power and an underlying acid tension and edge, make this red wine almost too drinkable. You could serve this with as much ease alongside an eggplant laksa or a barbecued piece of peppered chicken. Don't be afraid to cellar some of this wine too. There's reward ahead.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Sister's Run Calvary Hill Shiraz Barossa Valley 2018
$19.95 / bottle
Release Date December 12, 2020
Vintages #: 222018
750ml bottle
Full & Smooth

Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like.

Calvary Hill produces real depth - diving-bell like depth. And there is that classic Barossa dark, salted chocolate aroma and flavour. Cinnamon, nutmeg, liqueured chocolate, but all bound by cloak of savouriness. The fruit heft is perfectly balanced by keen acidity, providing overarching structure. Indeed, this is an organized wine, with architectural qualities.

Great richness but great line and balance. We imagine drinking this wine with hard local cheeses the cheese is optional.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Founded in 2009, Maison Roche de Bellene offers a complete range of wines, with an emphasis on individual terroirs from vieilles vignes (old vines - 40 years or older) that are farmed responsibly. A to Z Wineworks Chardonnay Oregon 2018
$25.00 / bottle
Release Date December 3, 2020
Vintages #: 269258
750ml bottle
Fresh & Lively

A to Z Wineworks was started in 2002 by Oregon wine industry veterans: Deb Hatcher (Eyrie), Bill Hatcher (Domaine Drouhin Oregon), Sam Tannahill (Archery Summit) and Cheryl Francis (Chehalem). The two couples worked in the Hatcher's kitchen to build the original blend honoured by Food & Wine magazine as the Best American Pinot Noir under $20. Recognition for A to Z wines as offering dependable quality for great value continues today making A to Z the top-selling Oregon wine brand.

The delicately coloured A to Z Oregon Chardonnay has a fresh, lively nose like fresh cut apples and distinct tropical notes (honeydew, kiwi, quince, kumquat, Meyer lemon, pineapple) and undertones of spring flowers, lemongrass and marjoram. The juicy, vibrant palate has a touch of minerality, something like wet stones drizzled with honey, and a natural fruit sweetness building length and presence. Tank aging on lees gives this wine a creamy texture and an interesting, broad mid-palate.

Pairs well with fresh, vibrant, and lively foods that sparkle with acidity like Baja fish tacos or heavier foods that need a bit of a high note lift such as roasted monkfish and trout.

Hyland Estate Pinot Noir Old Vines McMinnville 2018
$44.00 / bottle
Release Date December 3, 2020
Vintages #: 17024
750ml bottle
Elegant & Earthy

Hyland vineyard has been a part of the Willamette Valley since 1971. You can’t talk about the origins of Oregon winemaking without mentioning the gentle giant overlooking the Van Duzer corridor. Untouched, unmoved and self-rooted, Hyland’s gnarly 46-year old vines remain entrenched in red volcanic Jory soil. They’ve been there since the beginning, watching as new neighbours have moved in and planted their own vineyards.

Owner and winemaker Laurent Montalieu practices a "land not hand" philosophy. For a vineyard to truly speak, it must be left wild and untamed. Laurent wants to bring you to a specific row amidst hundreds. He wants you to taste a block, the elevation, the growing season and the individual expression of every vine. Quiet and self-sufficient, the vines produce a textually mature, high-concentrated juice that come with decades of establishing oneself firmly into the land.

A lovely mix of cassis, rose petals toasted spices and cedar aerate the room. On the attack, a mouthful of black cherries, dark plums and sweet leather greet you, with beautiful framing tannins to support the wine.

The winery recommends pairing with wine with all things bacon! They recommend either bacon wrapped scallops or for you red meat lovers, a bacon wrapped Filet Mignon where the salty savoury notes from the swine can perfectly match with the sweet fruit and tea spices that emerge from the wine.

This product is part of the LCBO December Classics program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered from the release date.

"As always with a Grand Cru from Gevrey-Chambertin, this wine shows immense power. It is dominated by black fruits as well as signs of the 60% wood aging. Behind, the red cherry fruits are developing along with the lively acidity. It needs to age and should not be drunk before 2019" WE

Release Date November 14, 2020
Vintages #: 15378
750ml bottle
Aromatic & Flavourful

When Michel Muré settled in Rouffach and planted his vineyard in the 17th century, he surely had little conception of the beautiful adventure that he was setting in motion for his descendants. In 1935, Alfred Muré extended the property with the addition of the 12-hectare (25-acre) wholly owned Clos Saint Landelin, foreseeing already its potential for exceptional quality. He replanted the terraces, ideally situated with their sunny exposure and shelter from the rain.

Nowadays it is Alfred’s grandson René, together with his children Véronique and Thomas, the 11th and 12th generations of the family, who are responsible for running this exceptional, wholly-owned vineyard and its neighbouring terroirs, using biodynamic methods.

Muré wines are fine and rich with beautifully mineral acidities. This is achieved in the vineyard where Alsace’s naturally long ripening season is enhanced by Muré’s exceptional south-facing slopes. These are delightful and exciting wines, abundant in flavour, opulence and lacy acidity.

Reynvaan Family Vineyards Syrah The Contender Walla Walla 2017
$161.00 / bottle
Release Date October 29, 2020
Vintages #: 17093
750ml bottle
Rich & Smooth

A small family winery (Mike, Gale, Amanda, Angela and Matt) that produces Rhône-style red and white wines from two vineyard properties in the Walla Walla Valley. They produce wines only from varietals that they love and farm themselves. From their first vintage in 2007, the wines have been remarkable with a consistent complexity, depth of flavour, finish and distinctive terroir. Almost everything they do is by hand, planting each vine in the vineyards, trellising, pruning, dropping fruit and then picking and sorting the berries at harvest.

The density and power of this wine is stunning. There is weight without feeling heavy, incredible complexity of blackberry cobbler, star anise, ripe plumb, saddle leather, Asian spice, oyster shell and wet gravel. For Contender fans, this is up there with the 2009 vintage where the 5% of Marsanne shows through giving it a viscous texture.

Pair this wine with succulent BBQ ribs, braised meats, venison or rich stews.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

From the signature sea breezes of McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu Peninsula to the delightfully hidden gem of Kuitpo Forest and the cool charms of the Adelaide Hills – Monterra produce wines that speak wondrously of these unique regions. Working closely in their estate vineyards and with long term growers, they grow grapes that rejoice in the natural conditions of their environs to be the finest example of every vintage.

Elegant straw in colour, with aromas of white peach, green apple, pear and subtle hints of wet stone. Fine fruits drive the palate with a creamy mouthfeel creating extra harmony, before complex brioche-like complexity and crunchy acidity.

Pair this wine with shellfish, calamari or chicken dijon, or go vegetarian with an asparagus and bok choy frittata!
