Earthy & Fresh

Nicolas Potel is an iconic producer in Burgundy. He grew up in a family dedicated entirely to wine; and after gaining some experience internationally, he started his own project in the late 90's.

This entry-level red Burgundy comes from vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The vines range in age from 30 to 80 years and are farmed sustainably.  Think delicious smashed cherry skins, crunchy acidity and a fresh vibrant intensity. Beneath all the fresh red fruit there is a subtle earthiness and chalky tannins.  This old vines Burgundy has finesse and a real quaffable quality.

This Bourgogne Pinot Noir is light enough to pair with salmon but complex enough to accompany duck confit. Try it with earthy-fatty meals like mushroom risotto, grilled trout or gnocchi with ricotta!

Bright & Creamy

Arguably one of our best values in bubbly. This cava is made from Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Mas Codina is a 40 hectare estate in the Alt Penedès which dates back to 1681. This Cava Brut Nature Reserva was hand-harvested from 20 to 30-year-old vines and estate bottled. Farming is 100% organic on the estate. Though it does not say it on the label, the wine is 100% single vintage and is aged on its lees for a minimum of two years before release.

This Cava has a lovely, fruity nose with ripe yellow pear, a hint of vanilla and soft biscotti notes. It is light to mid weight, slightly creamy yet firm and dry on the finish.

Cava is fantastic with fresh salads, crudités, raw oysters and summer dishes like Spanish Gazpacho. It's creaminess makes it a perfect pairing for roast chicken and all kinds of fish.

Spicy & Smooth

“The Farm” is a 10-acre vineyard in Niagara’s Twenty Mile Bench, planted to Pinot Noir. The property is rooted in traditions of gathering family & friends, and where Peter and Dora Neudorf call home.

Made from a blend of Pinot Noir from select vineyards across Niagara. After fermentation, the wine was aged in French Oak Burgundy barrels (228L) for 14 months. This particular vintage we were given ideal weather conditions during ripening and at harvest with warm sunny days and cool nights.

This is translated through the glass as we find our Black Label has firm structured tannins with notes of dark cherries and earthy undertones. Blended and bottled unfiltered in The Farm cellar. 

Enjoy this Pinot with grilled salmon or other fatty fish. It would also be ideal with duck and other game birds.

Bright & Creamy

Fresne-Ducret is rich in family history and has been rooted in the premier cru village of Villedommange since the mid 1800s. Le Chemin du Chemin is a foray into the essence of their winery.

The first aromas are of apricot and fresh bread, with floral notes, giving way to more complex notes of praline, hazelnut and shortbread. In the mouth, delicate brioche aromas, creamy and buttery, followed by a savouriness with hints of tea. Particularly well-balanced, with a soft astringency.  Aged for a minimum of 48 months on the lees in underground cellars.

Pair this excellent champagne with all the classics matches: oysters, light fish dishes... We also recommend to pair it with fried chicken, porchetta, potato chips or seared scallops. It really does goes with everything!

Floral & Juicy

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

Leaning Post's house style of rosé is bright and refreshing with the most beautiful colour and great fruit. The nose is so vibrant with red fruits such as raspberry, strawberry and watermelon, with savoury notes of white pepper, lemon basil and hints of orange blossom. The palate reflects the nose with rich texture and a delicate finish. This bright, refreshing Rosé was built for warm summer days and good company!

Juicy & Spiced

Keint-He Winery & Vineyards is a boutique winery located in Prince Edward County. The winery has a strong focus on varietals that are typically grown in Burgundy, specifically Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; through which they truly express the best of the County with wonderful individual expressions. Keint-He’s approach to winemaking is as down-to-earth as it gets and their quality is second to none.

Strawberry, raspberry and red cherry aromas lead the way on the nose, with hints of sweet spice and tomato leaf in the background. Freshly crushed ripe berries continue on the palate, with dried leaf, minerality and spice in the background. The mouthfeel is lean and silky smooth, with very fine tannin and great County acidity.

This Pinot Noir is a very versatile wine given it’s acidity and low tannin. Pinot Noir pairs particularly well with duck, chicken, pork, and mushrooms.

Earthy & Floral

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

A blend of fruit from 4 different Vineyards from 3 different sub-appellations, this wine explodes out of the glass with wonderful strawberry, raspberry, mulberry, and bing cherry followed closely by sugar beet, tobacco leaf, moss and fresh soil. The balance, coolness and bright acidity of the 2023 vintage is immediately evident, yet with extra air it starts to show more fullness and roundness than might be expected. The incredibly supple mouthfeel, medium body and balanced acidity frame exceptional flavour intensity, leading to a long, sweeping finish that ends on a decidedly mineral and crunchy note.  This wine is great now with a generous decant but will also age well for 3-4 years.

Pair this Pinot Noir with smoky glazed ham or grilled salmon.

Starting with only 4 hectares when René Baud took on the vineyard in 1950, Domaine Baud progressively expanded to 20 hectares with the help of successive generations. Now, managed by siblings Clémentine and Bastien, the 9th generation, the estate continues to flourish and grow, with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and preserving the traditions and style that makes the wines of the Jura so unique and incredible.

The estate achieved the Terra Vitis certification in 2014 for its eco-friendly work and environmental preservation.

This sparkler, or Crémant, is made in the traditional Champagne style, where the second fermentation happens inside the bottle. Expect rich aromatics of apple fruit with citrus, toasted brioche and a striking minerality. It sparks a great balance between creaminess and vivacity.  If you like Champagne, but not the price tag, then this is the wine of choice for you.

Pairing suggestion: It is very versatile at the table and you can drink this with almost any dish: try it with all types of classic cuisine or even spicy Asian dishes.

Trousseau is by far the rarest grape variety in the Jura, planted in less than 8% of the total Jura vineyard, it has a biological relationship with the white grape Savagnin, being originally from this magical region. The vineyards are planted on rich red marl and gravel soils, along the Cotes du Jura appellation. On the nose, it has aromas of red fruits and leather, with a hint of sub-bois. Tannins are soft and silky, and the palate is very well-balanced.

Pairing suggestion: Enjoy it on its own, or pair it with red meats such as game and venison.

Crisp & Fruity

Lighthall Vineyards is a small, proud, low volume and high quality winery located in enchanting Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. All their wines are produced in a non-interventionist manner and fuelled by passion as hearty as our vines. They also make cheese, designed to pair with their wines.

Lighthall's famous sparkling Pinot Noir, re-fermented using the Charmat method. A slight change in production method saw a little less skin contact and more whole cluster pressing, presenting a wine packed full of strawberry flavour and hibiscus aroma. Very crisp and fruity while still refreshingly dry, this wine matches exceptionally with spicy rosé sauce, sweet red bell peppers and cheese boards.

This village-level Beaune comes from two historic plots planted in 1971, located near the northern border of Beaune close to Savigny-lès-Beaune. Showing an attractive balance of power and finesse, with vibrant aromas of black cherry, pomegranate, and sweet red pepper, complemented by subtle notes of pink peppercorn, rare meat, and a hint of menthol. Medium-bodied and sleek, it offers soft, well-knit tannins and a sappy, dusty finish. Lightly smoky and expressive, this Pinot Noir displays excellent vibrancy, depth, and length, with the structure and finesse to reward up to a decade of careful cellaring.

Cordero San Giorgio is a new beginning in Oltrepò Pavese for three siblings who grew up surrounded by their family’s vines at the legendary Vietti Estate in Castiglione Falletto in Barolo. The Oltrepò Pavese is a hilly triangle of land in Lombardy, embraced by Piedmont, Liguria, and Emilia-Romagna. A territory dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the culture of wine for centuries: a land of both cultural and gastronomic encounter and exchange. 

This mixed case includes the following wines:

3 bottles x Cordero San Giorgio APSÛ Oltrepò Pavese DOC Chardonnay 2024.

Made from selected plots located in Santa Giuletta and Roca de' Giorgi, this Chardonnay ferments in stainless steel tanks and sees no malolactic fermentation. As fermentation finishes, half of the wine is racked into wooden barrels, where it ages for about six months.

The wine opens up as fresh and fragrant, with a bouquet of citrus notes, tropical fruit and white flowers. It is vibrant with a pleasant acidity balanced by the savoury and mineral finish.

A Pinot Nero that is an expression of finesse. Elegant aromas and delicate on the palate. 

Toasty & Citrusy

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara. The Chardonnay in this wine comes from a beautiful old vines (35+ years old) block, while the Pinot Noir is from a younger block on the same property in Beamsville Bench.

If you can imagine dipping a freshly baked lemon/herb croissant into a cloud then you have some idea of how this wine tastes! The toasty/biscuity and lemon-curd aspect leaps immediately out of the glass, with a background of crème-fraiche and flowers. The palate is full and round, with a very fine mousse showing fresh-baked bread, lemon meringue, roasted almond and unicorn-dust. The terroir and old-vines really come through on the finish with an amazing mineral/flinty core and very present acidity.

Enjoy now, but this wine will age gracefully over the next 8+ years if you want it to. Drink with fresh Malpeque oysters, hazelnut crusted halibut, and soft white cheeses.

Floral & Delicate

The density, body, structure and balance of this wine is unparalleled. The nose shows beautiful sugar beet, bing cherry, rose petals and mushroom with a background of tarragon and basil and hints of peppery intensity. A medium-full bodied wine with lots of fresh, young fruit and balanced acidity and tannin make this a wine that will age gracefully for at least 10 years.

A cooler vintage brings freshness to one of the county’s best varieties. Strawberry, red currant, candied cherry, and a savoury garrigue all burst from the glass. Tones of sumac, cedar, bittersweet chocolate and cinnamon bark bring a discerning finish to this elegant grape. The classic pairing of seared duck breast and mushroom risotto are a must-have.

Classically, a pan seared or confit duck breast with black pepper and wild mushroom risotto is delightful. We also recommend blue cheeses, gruyere, taleggio, jollof with smoked mackerel, grilled pork butt chop with a sumac compote, black truffles, miso chicken, grilled salmon, or tuna sashimi.

Ophir Bridge is the secondary label from McArthur Ridge in Central Otago’s Alexandra Valley, a region shaped by old vines rooted in the late 1800s and nourished by pure glacial-fed water. Planted across gentle northern slopes on an elevated plateau, the vines flourish in the warmth of the Central Otago sun. Brassknocker soils and pristine waters give the wines a true sense of place, reflecting the region’s distinctive character with elegance and depth.

This wine shows an expressive, refined nose of red cherries, raspberries, and cranberries, lifted by violet florals and a hint of clove spice. Medium-bodied on the palate, it offers soft tannins and well-integrated acidity, with juicy red fruit, subtle oak, and gentle earthy notes. The finish is long and elegant, leaving lingering impressions of fruit and spice.

Perfect with duck or herb-crusted chicken.

3 bottles x Vitivinicola Fangareggi Vigna Rosa Lambrusco dell'Emilia IGP 2023 (Emilia-Romagna, Italy)
Sparkling | Lambrusco di Sorbara, Fortana, Pinot Nero

Vitivinicola Fangareggi is located in the heart of the Lambrusco region, between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Modena. Their ancestors have been making wine since the 19th century, and in 2004 the family decided to resume their winemaking tradition. In 2021, they began the process of converting the vineyard to organic farming.

Made from a blend of Lambrusco di Sorbara, Fortana and Pinot Nero, this low-alcohol rosato frizzante is the perfect bubbly to pop and enjoy at any occasion. Rose petals, black cherry, vague reminiscences of bread crust, and lots of freshness. Pop and enjoy.

Rosé | Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault

This seductive rosé is a traditional blend of Grenache (60%), Syrah (30%) and Cinsault (10%). Beautifully pale in colour and soft in texture, this is probably the most fashionable vintage to date. Delicate aromas of raspberry, watermelon, citrus fruits & herbes de Provence flow from the glass. The flavours are fruity, dry and crisp with an elegant balance & structure. 

Mas Carlot Rosé is the perfect rosé to pair with tapas and barbecue. It is also a great wine to enjoy with cheese boards or just on its own at any time!

Red | Nero d'Avola

A fascinating Nero d’Avola with a spicy and lively saline character, this wine truly represents the intriguing Sicilian terroir where it is produced. The wine has a bright ruby red color with intense shades of violet; its bouquet shows scents of mulberries and raspberries with a touch of light spices. On the palate it is fragrant and full, with soft velvety tannins that shape a vibrant, Mediterranean personality.

Tessari’s golden straw coloured Grisela is the backbone of the vineyard; a delicious entry level wine that is meant to be enjoyed on any occasion. Melba toast, elderflower and chamomile aromatics fill the glass with a notable mineral quality. The taste of crushed seashells dance on your tongue with a fun duo of stone fruit and citrus. The finish is refreshing with balanced acidity.

Grisela is excellent as an aperitif and for accompanying rich Italian seafood recipes and risottos.

Named in honour of Nicolas Potel’s great uncle, Jean Ferté—who led the syndicate that purchased Domaine de la Pousse d’Or in 1964, a property historically linked to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti prior to the French Revolution—this cuvée brings together fruit from two estate parcels.

A lovely blend of two small Burgundy premier crus, Les Haut Jarrons and Peuillets, this vintage opens with inviting warmth and spice on the nose, shaped in part by the warm growing conditions. Fresh fruit takes centre stage, with notes of black cherry and raspberry layered alongside savoury echos of leather and dried tobacco leaf. Sourced from the famed clay soils of Marlborough’s Southern Valleys, with a touch of Awatere River influence, this Pinot Noir exudes aromas of black cherry, redcurrant, dark plum, and a hint of coffee crème. The palate is rich and beautifully layered, offering sweet plum and subtle toasty notes. Elegant yet powerful, it shows fine, integrated tannins balanced by vibrant acidity that brings freshness and lift. Charming and expressive in its youth, this wine will continue to evolve gracefully with time in bottle.

Cordero San Giorgio is a new beginning in Oltrépo-Pavese for three siblings who grew up surrounded by their family’s vines at the legendary Vietti Estate in Castiglione Falletto in Barolo. The siblings Francesco, Lorenzo, and Caterina Cordero, are grandchildren of Luciana Vietti & Alfredo Currado, one of the pioneers of the first Barolo crus and considered the “father of Arneis.” Their father is Mario Cordero, Alfredo and Luciana’s son-in-law, who was the company’s co-owner from the beginning of the ‘80s until 2016 when it was sold.

The Oltrepò Pavese is a hilly triangle of land in Lombardy, embraced by Piedmont, Liguria, and Emilia-Romagna. A territory dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the culture of wine for centuries: a land of both cultural and gastronomic encounter and exchange. Cordero San Giorgio is in the town of Santa Giuletta, and focuses on working with Pinot Nero, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.

The winery has a strong focus on varietals that are typically grown in Burgundy, specifically Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; through which they truly express the best of the County with wonderful individual expressions. Keint-He’s approach to winemaking is as down-to-earth as it gets and their quality is second to none.

This Pinot Noir, crafted using whole cluster carbonic fermentation and unfiltered, presents a bouquet replete with candied cherry aromas. Aged for three months in neutral oak, the wine's mouthfeel is enriched without exhibiting any noticeable oak influences. The palate is characterized by a fresh and revitalizing profile, featuring ripe cherry flavours that dominate the senses.

The winery has a strong focus on varietals that are typically grown in Burgundy, specifically Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; through which they truly express the best of the County with wonderful individual expressions. Keint-He’s approach to winemaking is as down-to-earth as it gets and their quality is second to none.

This wine is a white varietal crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, with zero skin contact to preserve its crisp characteristics. Displaying a pale peach hue, the bouquet presents aromas of baking spice, maraschino cherry, and nectarine. The palate showcases a lean and light mouthfeel, with a prominent expression of baking spice and uplifting minerality. Fermented in neutral oak barrels for five months, this wine underwent full malolactic fermentation, resulting in a refined and balanced finish.
