This gingery pinot gris is perfectly refreshing and engaging. Lightly waxy and just off-dry, it is partially fermented in neutral French oak. Ethereal in texture with lightly honeyed, acacia notes and memorable length. Tasted June 2026.

Clean, mostly citrus fruit leads off the top; the palate is relatively sharp and contained, no wood, decent length and depth. Correct all around. Tasted Blind at the NWACs June 2026.

2022 Vintage - Featured in Vine Routes
From vineyards located within a warmer micro-territory (called South Bay) in the cooler Prince Edward County appellation, this pinot gris is refreshingly lighter on the ABV (12%/vol.) with a quite noticeably creamy and rich texture to it – largely attributed to malolactic fermentation and cold-stabilization methods. The winemaking team also uses an Alsatian yeast strain and fermented one quarter of the juice in neutral French oak, with the other 75 percent in steel tank. The result is a complex wine, with an intriguing flavour profile, including ripening pear and a freshened mineral characteristic that really sets this apart. I even get the hint of nutmeg that I’m being told to look for in this. Will develop further with a bit more time in bottle, that I am certain of.

It's splendidly fruited and elegantly fragrant on the nose, showing rockmelon, poached pear, Gala apple, and white flower notes, followed by a succulent palate that's silky and fleshy. Beautifully composed and expressed, making it fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2028.

Aromatic is the ways of Alsatian white blends, noble and arguably more Edelzwicker than Gentil. Alsace is a place where historically the grape variety is highlighted on the label, more so than the region, but these blends transform that thought. Noble follows that particular tradition with this blend celebrating growers and the places they farm. Comes together just a shade above bone dry, layered with citrus and a side of creamy orchard fruit, from riesling with gewürztraminer, ehrenfelser, oraniensteiner & pinot gris. Profoundly important for B.C. white wine, essential and appropriate, for wherever and whenever a bottle needs sharing. Drink 2026-2029. Tasted May 2026.
