Release Date November 4, 2021
Vintages #: 20425

Meaty & Savoury

Mullineux Family Wines was established in 2007 in the Swartland region of South Africa, owned and managed by Chris and Andrea Mullineux. Within a very short time period the winery established itself as one of South Africa’s most celebrated wine brands, both locally and on the international front.

The Swartland has a very unique geology which allows for exploration of its various terroirs through Western Cape classic varieties like Chenin Blanc and Syrah, among others.

This is the most structured Syrah in the Single Terroir range. On the nose there are notes of black pepper, black fruit and spices. The palate is full-bodied with a meaty, savoury character, plenty silky tannins giving structure and a balancing natural acidity. The finish is fresh, long and supple.

Earthy & Complex

Nicolas Potel is an iconic producer in Burgundy. He grew up in a family dedicated entirely to wine; and after gaining some experience internationally, he started his own project in the late 90's.

From a two-acre parcel of old vines (planted in 1950) in one of the greatest villages of the Côtes de Nuits. Gevrey-Chambertin is prized for the full-flavored, earthy style of its wines, and that character is expertly captured here in this wine that is naturally fermented and spends 15 months in barrique (20% new oak). Firm, ripe tannins give the wine excellent aging potential.

$64.95 / bottle
Release Date December 2, 2021
Vintages #: 75929
750ml bottle
Delicate & Floral

When Michel Muré settled in Rouffach and planted his vineyard in the 17th century, he surely had little conception of the beautiful adventure that he was setting in motion for his descendants. In 1935, Alfred Muré extended the property with the addition of the 12-hectare (25-acre) wholly owned Clos Saint Landelin, foreseeing already its potential for exceptional quality. He replanted the terraces, ideally situated with their sunny exposure and shelter from the rain.

Nowadays it is Alfred’s grandson René, together with his children Véronique and Thomas, the 11th and 12th generations of the family, who are responsible for running this exceptional, wholly-owned vineyard and its neighbouring terroirs, using biodynamic methods.

Located in Rouffach, the Clos Saint Landelin, fully owned by the Muré family, covers an area of 12 hectares\. It marks the southern end of the Grand Cru Vorbourg. Located at the exit of the valley, it is exposed to the south and benefits from a good amount of sunshine until late in the afternoon. The north and west winds ensure that the vines remain healthy until harvest time.

Pale yellow with green highlights. Very delicate nose with aromas of orange, lemon and peach. The palate is fresh and velvety, with a beautiful righteousness, the fruit flavours (citrus, apricot). The nose, rather flowery, goes to a fruity mouth: apricot, peach.

The minerality of the wine and its fine tannic texture make this wine very food friendly.

Maison Roche de Bellene Nuits St Georges Vieilles Vignes 2016
$69.95 / bottle
Release Date December 2, 2021
Vintages #: 22586
750ml bottle
Balanced & Elegant

Nicolas Potel is an iconic producer in Burgundy. He grew up in a family dedicated entirely to wine; and after gaining some experience internationally, he started his own project in the late 90's.

Founded in 2009, Maison Roche de Bellene offers a complete range of wines, with an emphasis on individual terroirs from vieilles vignes (old vines - 40 years or older) that are farmed responsibly. All of the growers that Nicolas Potel works with are either organic certified or farming according to the principles of lutte raisonée (“sustainable viticulture”). This enables Potel to consistently produce the expressive, terroir-driven style that is his vision.

The .75 ha parcel of land within Nuit-Saint-Georges which provides the fruit for this bottling has vines ranging in ages between 40-54 years, and grow upon beds of limestone clay rich soils.

Aromatically there are notes of crushed rose petals and violets, as well as tart red fruit and fine vanilla. The palate is refreshing with well balanced tannins, and the finish is surprisingly dry compared to the delicacies on the nose.

This product is part of the LCBO Classics Catalogue. It will take approximately 7-10 business days to be delivered from its release date.

Domaine de Coulet Billes Noires AOC Cornas 2015
$139.95 / bottle
Release Date December 2, 2021
Vintages #: 22585
750ml bottle
Dense & Brooding

Born in Aix-en-Provence, Matthieu Barret is a young and enthusiastic 7th generation vigneron. After he studied in Beaune, he joined his grandfather in Cornas in 1997. Today, he practices biodynamic viticulture with a focus on low yields and extraordinary quality. He describes his wines as being 100% grape – pure, clean, and low sulfites.

As dark as the wine is dressed, as deep and dark is also its scent. Smelling as well as seeing, one needs a while to get used to recognize contours in the darkness. This dense thicket of aromas conceals cooked plum jam, the scent of fresh Black Forest cherry pie, and the peppery spice of juniper berries and black truffle. And a single deep red rose blossoms behind a small fire-cleared patch of forest.

A wine that invites you to take a walk and discover the land from which Matthieu Barret's Syrah comes and which is inherent in it.

This product is part of the LCBO Classics Catalogue. It will take approximately 7-10 business days to be delivered from its release date.

Garage Wine Co Cabernet Franc San Juan Pirque Vineyard Lot #90 2017
$39.95 / bottle
Release Date December 11, 2021
Vintages #: 21962
750ml bottle
Herbal & Balsamic

Garage Wine Co was literally started in a garage in 2001, by Etobicoke expat Derek Mossman and his wife Pilar Miranda. Since then, the dynamic duo have chosen to revive old vineyards in marginalized Chilean communities. They work mostly in the regions of Maule and Itata where they make highly coveted wines.

This single vineyard wine is part of Garage's Mountain Grown series. An ancient riverbed flows beneath this vineyard planted with Cabernet Franc. The altitude (600 mts+) allows a freshness that works very well with this variety when it is extracted gently allowing an elegant and distinct flavour profile of blue fruits. Nose of crushed raspberries and flowers. There is notable freshness with blue fruit aromas, mint, fresh leaves and a touch of balsamic– it's a little wild, medium-bodied with very fine tannins and has a fine elegant texture.

Cabernet Franc goes well with grilled steaks and chops; spices and herbs such as pepper, mint and rosemary, and earthy ingredients like mushrooms.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 10-14 business days to be delivered.
