Mullineux Granite Chenin Blanc 2017
$90.00 / bottle
Release Date September 3, 2020
Vintages #: 15648
750ml bottle
Rich & Intense

Mullineux Family Wines was established in 2007 in the Swartland region of South Africa, owned and managed by Chris and Andrea Mullineux. Within a very short time period the winery established itself as one of South Africa’s most celebrated wine brands, both locally and on the international front.

The Swartland has a very unique geology which allows for exploration of its various terroirs through Western Cape classic varieties like Chenin Blanc and Syrah, among others.

"First made in 2013, Granite has established itself as one of the best Chenins in the Cape, especially so in a vintage like 2017. Focused, floral and intense, with incredible grip and precision, creamy lees, stylish oak and good length."TA  "This has both rich and racy elements, with meringue and brioche notes leading off, followed by a mix of peach, lemon peel, creamed yellow apple and quinine flavors. Everything knits nicely through the light, salted butter–gilded finish. Drink now through 2023." WS

Mullineux Old Vines White 2019
$37.95 / bottle
Vintages #: 556597
750ml bottle
Rich & Honeyed

Mullineux Family Wines was established in 2007 in the Swartland region of South Africa, owned and managed by Chris and Andrea Mullineux. Within a very short time period the winery established itself as one of South Africa’s most celebrated wine brands, both locally and on the international front.

Andrea Mullineux has a deft ability when it comes to blending, a principal reason that Tim Atkin, MW, named Chris and Andrea Mullineux his 2017 South African Winemakers of the Year. This Chenin Blanc is blended with several grapes, such as Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Semillon. Expect a richly textured, savoury, honeyed, mouth-filling, subtle wine.

We recommend to pair this zesty wine with ceviche-style dishes. Pasta al pesto is another terrific pairing option!

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

Neil Ellis Sauvignon Blanc Groenekloof 2019
$17.95 / bottle
Release Date September 19, 2020
Vintages #: 673913
750ml bottle
Aromatic & Flavourful

In 1984 Neil Ellis sourced grapes from vineyards not of his own and produced wine in rented cellar space. These grapes were sourced in the Stellenbosch district and meant a lot of nosing around the restrictive quota system prevalent at the time.

Today, the experience and knowledge of the past are applied to modern techniques and technologies for a new generation of winemaking. “Our vision remains to make distinctive, refined wines that are expressive of their terrain and rank amongst South Africa’s finest. A pursuit of quality, nothing less.” Neil Ellis

Pale straw like colour with attractive green hues. Bright tropical aromatics, with subtle herbacious undertones. The palate is elegant with delicately detailed sweet tropical fruits and a lively acidity, refined minerality, poised palate, textured and a long flavoursome finish.

As suggested by the winery, pair this wine with fresh seafood and summer salads.

The Winery of Good Hope Pinotage Full Berry Fermentation 2019
$14.95 / bottle
Release Date August 22, 2020
Vintages #: 15712
750ml bottle
Fruity & Fresh

The Winery of Good Hope is more than just a winery. It’s an approach. An alternative way of thinking, being and doing. They're not into all the flashy stuff that’s often associated with the industry. They want to make quality wine with a conscience. At the cellar on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, they make great wines using traditional, natural viticultural and winemaking methods. They're also fully accredited for environmental, ethical, and social-upliftment practices. That’s why they call themselves The Winery of Good Hope.

This wine displays a refreshing yet juicy palate with black berries, plums, wild
black fruits and a wonderful, natural sucrosité . It has a lithe texture with
integrated, supple tannins and some attractive spice on the finish. Incredibly
moreish! We’ve been hooked on Pinotage for some time and we are delighted
with this one!
