Established in 2005, Domaine de Bellene is dedicated to crafting expressive wines from old vines, guided by a strong commitment to sustainable, organic farming. Under the stewardship of winemaker and proprietor of the late Nicolas Potel, the domaine has focused on producing wines that faithfully reflect both place and vintage, while safeguarding the land and its traditions for future generations. Today, Domaine de Bellene is widely respected among Burgundy enthusiasts for its thoughtful range of wines spanning both celebrated and lesser-known appellations.

This village-level Beaune comes from two historic plots planted in 1971, located near the northern border of Beaune close to Savigny-lès-Beaune. Showing an attractive balance of power and finesse, with vibrant aromas of black cherry, pomegranate, and sweet red pepper, complemented by subtle notes of pink peppercorn, rare meat, and a hint of menthol. Medium-bodied and sleek, it offers soft, well-knit tannins and a sappy, dusty finish. Lightly smoky and expressive, this Pinot Noir displays excellent vibrancy, depth, and length, with the structure and finesse to reward up to a decade of careful cellaring.

94 Points - Sara d'Amato

A generous expression of village level Beaune from the Blanches Fleurs lieu-dit located at the northern border of Beaune close to Savigny les Beaune. Featuring a great deal of power and finesse, this lightly smoky pinot noir is bursting at the seams with black cherry, pomegranate and sweet red pepper. Pink peppercorn and rare meat play a supporting role in the flavour make-up of this engrossing and youthful pinot noir. Notes of rosebud coyly linger on the finish of excellent length. Best 2022-2025. Tasted May 2021.
