Since developing a passion and self-taught knowledge, Fritz Waßmer has established himself among the top winemakers in Baden with his internationally acclaimed Pinot Noir. His family has been involved in viticulture and agriculture for generations in the village of Schlatt and this is where he was first introduced to work in the vineyards. He hasn’t looked back since. Even though it would take a few years before Fritz Waßmer would produce his own wine, the cornerstone for his great love was laid at a young age.

Since founding the winery in 1998, Fritz Waßmer has pursued his own wine style: independent, finesse-rich and profound wines.

A multi-award winning pinot noir. The wine has a compact, dense bouquet dominated by red cherries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and aromas of spices such as anise. The palate is elegant and delicious with lots of plum, raspberry and cherry accompanied by aniseed.

This is perfect with young and medium-aged cheeses, poultry and mushroom based dishes.

Opulent nose with black currants, dark cherries and hints of roasting aroma followed by a silky palate showing finesse from start to finish. A classy Pinot of Côte de Nuits quality.
