Deeply rooted in the Chassagne-Montrachet terroir for generations, the Amiot family cultivates an outstanding portfolio comprising one Grand Cru, eight Premier Cru white vineyards, and two Premier Cru red sites. Their commitment to sustainable viticulture encourages naturally balanced yields while preserving the purity and quality of the fruit. In the cellar, traditional barrel vinification remains at the heart of their philosophy, with the white wines undergoing extended élevage of up to 20 months in oak barrels and vats to develop complexity, texture, and aromatic depth.
The 2023 growing season benefited from timely summer rainfall following periods of water stress, rejuvenating the vines and delivering a generous crop. Careful vineyard management and rigorous fruit selection proved essential, resulting in wines that beautifully capture the character of their individual sites. The whites are particularly compelling, combining freshness, concentration, expressive aromatics, and refined texture. Produced in limited quantities from some of Burgundy’s most prized vineyards, these are wines that offer a rare opportunity to experience the enduring excellence of one of Chassagne-Montrachet’s benchmark domaines.
