Keermont Vineyards is a boutique wine estate situated in the naturally formed amphitheatre between the Helderberg and Stellenbosch mountain ranges in South Africa. The estate was established when the Wraith family acquired two neighbouring farms in 2003, leading to the thoughtful revitalization of the vineyards with a focus on quality and site expression under the direction of winemaker and viticulturist Alex Starey.

All wines are produced exclusively from estate-grown fruit. The vineyards are planted on deep red clay soils derived from sandstone and granite and are surrounded by indigenous vegetation, creating a diverse growing environment that contributes to the balance, character, and complexity of the wines.

Today, a small, dedicated team of around 15 people oversees every stage of production—from vineyard stewardship through to bottling—maintaining a meticulous, hands-on approach that defines Keermont’s reputation for quality and precision.

Terrasse (pronounced ta-ras-ah) is a barrel-fermented white blend named after the terraced vineyards that rise along the mountainous the estate. The nose is inviting, with notes of spring flowers, ripe apricot, citrus, and a hint of barley. The palate opens soft and luscious before bright acidity brings focus, revealing layers of apricot, peach, and quince alongside richer, spicy, and savoury nuances. The finish lingers with a light phenolic grip, while a fine thread of saline acidity adds lift and succulence.
