Established in 2007 by the folks at Radford Dale winery in South Africa, the Land of Hope project aims to produce and market a range of premium wines wherein 50% of all profits are directed back towards previously disadvantaged employees, their families, and dependents. The Land of Hope Trust focuses on providing high-quality education and skill development opportunities, empowering individuals for long-term social upliftment and contributing to positive economic and democratic evolution.

A vibrant Chardonnay with aromas of pineapple, mango, vanilla, and delicate florals, followed by a palate of juicy peach, citrus zest, and subtle creamy oak. Well-balanced and expressive, it pairs beautifully with grilled seafood like prawns or lobster, showcasing the warmth and character of South African winemaking.

About the Winery

Land of Hope

The Land of Hope Trust project started in 2007. Initiated against the background of many β€œsmoke and mirrors” projects purporting to uplift Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI), although very few of which seem to genuinely do so. The direct and sole beneficiaries of this Trust are the previously disadvantaged individual employees ofΒ Radford DaleΒ and their children and dependents.

What makes this project unique? Well, the primary objective of the trust is educational. The long-term social upliftment through the gift of high quality education, skills development and the power of developing knowledge. The Trust is making it possible to sendΒ Land of Hope employees'Β children to schoolsΒ they could only dream about whenΒ they were young, whichΒ they were not allowed to attend, and which will giveΒ the next generation the intellectual ability and the expertise to ensure the positive evolution of our economyΒ their democracy and community.
