Fruity & Spicy

Matthias Hager's winery has about 13ha of vineyards in and around the small wine-growing village of Mollands. All of his vineyards are cultivated biodynamically according to Demeter. The strength of this family business is its diversity. Loess, clay and different kinds of primary rock (mica shist, gneiss, etc.) can be found in the northern part of Kamptal.

This Gruner Veltliner has fruity aromas on the nose. These aromas combine with a soft spiciness and a mineral quality on the palate. It has a medium body and a nice long saline finish.

This a typical Gruner Veltliner of the Kamptal region and a very food-friendly wine. It's a great match with cold starters and typical Austrian home cooking: roast pork, schnitzel, meat dumplings...

Fruity & Juicy

The dream of four French partners in Argentina's Mendoza Province. The Malbec vines grow in the southwest of San Rafael, an oasis surrounded by large canyons and crossed by two rivers. This Malbec opens up with red fruits, black raspberry and tones of fresh leather. It's chewy and sumptuous on the palate, with firm tannins and a very well balanced acidity.

This is the perfect BBQ wine, but it is also capable of so much more! Rich meats, stews and braises are a great match, or try leaner meats with fruity and hearty sauces such as pork tenderloin with prunes and red wine jus. Another favourite, enjoy alongside a prime rib roast!

Deep & Earthy

Garage Wine Co. is an artisanal winery in the Maule in Southern Chile dedicated to reviving old-growth vineyards in marginalized rural communities.

'Revival' is a project that started during lockdown, and focuses on producing wine from previously-neglected old vines of País in the Maule, while at the same time supporting local farming communities.

Born out of the Covid pandemic, the initiative enabled farmers to work in their local vineyards, which also eliminated the need to travel. Maule is home to a wealth of very old, dry-farmed, family-owned vines. Yet these have largely been ignored by the mainstream industry due to their limited production potential and issues with accessibility.

The wine was first offered for sale en primeur, which further contributed to financial security for both the growers and producer in the midst of the pandemic. We at Nicholas Pearce Wines supported the initiave and are proud the bring the wines to the Ontario market.

Darker and more serious than many País out there with proper complexity and depth, ripe flavours and round tannins without ‘rusticity’. This is the character of the grape on granite soils made in small lots with focus.

Enjoy this wine with roasted duck breast, or a mushroom-based dish.

Zesty & Mineral

Gilvesy winery is located in the outskirts of Lake Balaton, near an ancient dormant volcano, in Hungary. Hungarian expat Robert Gilvesy moved back to his homeland from Canada to start this exciting project involving native grape varieties and volcanic soils.

This blend is light and fresh. On the nose, it's all about hints of mint, lemon and fresh cucumber, while on the palate it's zesty, with notes of green apple and citrus fruit.

It's delicious when paired with summer meals: fresh salads dressed with dried fruits such as cranberries and walnuts, grilled fish with potatoes and zesty ceviches.

We require one full case of each wine in order to build and fulfill four mixed cases. This process usually takes about 10-15 business days but may vary.

White | Viosinho, Gouveio, Codega do Larinho

Maçanita’s Douro Branco exemplifies the confluence of richness and elegant minerality that is the hallmark of Douro whites. On the palate, bright and juicy, with mouth filling concentration and refreshing acidity. A core of green and gold apple, pear and white pepper are wrapped with pleasant floral and mineral flavours on the long finish.

Maçanita Douro Branco is a beautiful pair for roasted or grilled poultry, as well as richer seafood dishes.

3 bottles x Mas Carlot Générations Rosé Costières de Nîmes 2024 (Côtes du Rhône, France)
Rose | Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault

Mas Carlot is situated in the south of the Rhône Valley, extending across 76 hectares of pebbly land southeast of Nîmes.

This seductive rosé is a traditional blend of Grenache (60%), Syrah (30%) and Cinsault (10%). Beautifully pale in colour and soft in texture, this is probably the most fashionable vintage to date. Delicate aromas of raspberry, watermelon, citrus fruits & herbes de Provence flow from the glass. The flavours are fruity, dry and crisp with an elegant balance & structure. This is a serious rose at an accessible price.

Mas Carlot Rosé is the perfect rosé to pair with any summertime meal, including tapas and barbecue. It is also a great wine to enjoy with cheese boards or just on its own at any time!

3 bottles x Punset 'Neh!' Langhe Rosso DOC 2022 (Piedmont, Italy)
Red | Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto

This red is called 'Neh! after a popular Piedmontese slang used to finish a sentence, similar to  'eh'. It is a blend of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, the local red grapes in Piedmont.  This wine has deep fruity aromas with red summer fruits, like black cherry, strawberries and raspberries. The colour is dark ruby and the wine shows good structure, acidity and medium body with a distinct earthiness.

Punset Neh! is an everyday wine, perfect with all kinds of food and even by itself. Uncork this bottle any time and enjoy it!

3 bottles x Bideona 'Mayela' Rioja Alavesa 2025 (Rioja, Spain)
Red | Tempranillo

Bideona produces this wine from beautiful vineyards on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, without using any methods that would obscure its personality. The wine is fresh and approachable, but also shows the depth and purity typical from Rioja Alavesa. It is a single wine but carries a series of six sequential labels featuring illustrations of the real growers, as a tribute to their daily work.

Mayela aims to contribute to the preservation of traditional viticulture and to the sustainability of the historic vineyards.

Pair this wine with grilled lamb chops, roasted vegetables, and aged Manchego cheese.

The Blaufränkisch from Heinrich is an elegant, biodynamic red shaped by the contrasting chalky and sandy terroirs of Lake Neusiedl. It shows juicy berry fruit layered with floral, herbal, and mineral notes, supported by refined tannins and lively acidity. Matured in neutral oak, it’s a balanced, versatile wine with depth, ideal for pairing with hearty, rustic dishes.

Try this wine with braised beef, grilled vegetables, and spicy cheeses.

3 bottles x Fattoria di Sammontana Alberese IGT Toscana 2025 (Tuscany, Italy)

This wine is a nod to the old tradition that made Trebbiano a compulsory component of any Chianti blend. Almost entirely Sangiovese with just a touch of Trebbiano, Alberese is such a delicious, simple and easy drinking wine that it could go with just about anything.

We particularly love opening a bottle of Alberese when cooking pizza or when having an aperitivo before dinner: a beautiful choice with cured meats, cheeses and olives. Any rich pasta dish made with bacon and tons of pecorino would also be a delicious option!

Mineral & Rich

In 2010, Joana and António founded Maçanita Vinhos after an invitation from a local Douro family who had read about these playful and ambitious sibling winemakers. Both siblings contribute to Maçanita Vinhos, but the challenging Douro Valley has been Joana’s passion project since the start, and Joana and her children even moved to the Porto area to be closer to the winery and vineyards. Setting down roots in the region has allowed her to focus her famous energy into expanding the rising star that is her Douro career.

Maçanita’s Douro Branco exemplifies the confluence of richness and elegant minerality that is the hallmark of Douro whites. The indigenous Viosinho provides the backbone to this mineral driven wine, showcasing the slate soil and high altitude plantings that fuel this project. Fermented and aged all in stainless steel, Antonio and Joana very capably maintain the freshness and acidity in this wine, yielding a wine of purity and balance.

Bright yellow-gold. On the nose, fresh floral aromas commingle with ripe yellow and green orchard fruit and a touch of slate. On the palate, bright and juicy, with mouth filling concentration and refreshing acidity. A core of green and gold apple, pear and white pepper are wrapped with pleasant floral and mineral flavours on the long finish. Winemaker and co-founder Rob Cameron has a colourful winemaking background – learning his craft in unique destinations such as Cyprus, Bulgaria and Hungary before moving on to France, Spain and Italy. For him, the Invivo range is all about taking some of the elegance from the old world and putting that style into amazing grapes, all the while offering wines that are fun and a bit unique.

Packed with fragrant aromas of rockmelon, guava and zesty citrus peel with a generous drive of lime-infused acidity through the sweetly fruited palate. Tropical and fresh showing great phenolic tang that emphasizes the superb balance between ripe fruit and bright acids. Classic and punchy in style, this is a stellar example of NZ Sauvvy B! 

This is a lovely wine to enjoy with light snacks and sunshine, but for something more substantial pair these bold flavours alongside south-east Asian cuisines that feature notes of lime, chilli and coriander.

White | Albarín

This expressive Albarín Blanco shows fresh aromas of herbs and citrus, notes of white fruit and some earthy and mineral qualities.  Lively and crisp, this wine is quite original. Good acidity, with flavours of herbs and citrus on the palate and a smooth finish.  

This Spanish white goes perfectly with pasta dishes, seafood and fish. If you are feeling adventurous in the kitchen, make a paella with some mussels and shrimps!

4 bottles x Domaine de Pellehaut Blanc 2025 (Côtes de Gascogne, France)
White | Colombard, Ugni Blanc, Sauvignon, Gros Manseng, Chardonnay, Folle Blanche

A complex white blend shaped by high-altitude vineyards on mineral-rich boulbène and calcareous clay soils. Crafted with low-temperature winemaking, it highlights fresh, vibrant fruit with a clean mineral backbone.

Would pair perfectly with a seafood platter or grilled prawns, sushi, or vegetable spring rolls.

Fresh & Vibrant

Oenops was founded in 2015 by talented winemaker Nikos Karatzas, who produces a stunning range of distinctive wines from his newly established state-of-the-art winery. He sources indigenous and rare grape varieties grown on exceptional terroir focusing on cool-climate sites and old-vine plots, from carefully selected vineyards in Drama and Macedonia, which have been cultivated by ambitious winegrowers using an organic philosophy. 

Niko adopts a minimal intervention approach and vinifies plot by plot using stainless steel, concrete, oak barrels, and amphora. His aim is to source great fruit and craft wines that reflect the nuances of the native varieties and the identity of the terroir and as a result, he produces a collection of authentic, elegant, and delicious wines. 

After chilling the grapes at 5oC, they are carefully sorted and pressed, with a small percentage of whole cluster, in a pneumatic press. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and amphorae, vinifying each vineyard plot separately. After 2-4 months of aging on the fine lees, the wine is ready for bottling.

In the glass, Apla White is lively lemon green. It has great aromatic intensity and freshness, which comes from the aromas of citrus fruits and stone fruits. Lemon, lime, apple, apricot, and white-fleshed peach are intense, while a soft herbal character underlies, enhanced by the aroma of white flowers and citrus blossoms. In the mouth, it has similar aromas and a strong fruity character. It is of moderate intensity, with an equally fruity and balanced aftertaste.

Perfect with sea food and salads, sushi and Asian cuisine in general. A pleasure for all moments.
