Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute for emergencies - like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like!

Notes of black cherries dipped in milk chocolate kick things off on the nose followed by hints of violet florals and sweet clove spices from tempered oak. An underlying herbal streak underscores the sweet aromatics, adding a savoury, almost minty edge beneath the fruit. Smooth tannins provide a rounded grip on the palate and are wrapped up by flavours of warm stewed plums with a touch of Pastis. Hallmark notes of cracked black pepper cascade into the rich finish. The balance between ripe fruit and tannin, along with underlying acidity, makes this big red incredibly drinkable.

Serve this with ease alongside an eggplant laksa or peppered chicken grilled on the barbecue. Don't be afraid to cellar some of this wine too - There's reward ahead.

Calvary Hill produces real depth and sports classic Barossa aromas of flavours of salted dark chocolate coated with sweet spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate reveals liqueured chocolate and a savoury side with the fruit perfectly balanced by keen acidity, providing overarching structure. Indeed, this is an organized wine, with architectural qualities.

Pair with local cheeses that are more firm and robust to match the headiness of this wine.

By working closely in their estate vineyards and with long-term growers tending to small parcels of family-farmed fruit, Monterra ensures that the natural conditions of each environment are celebrated, resulting in the finest expression of terroir every vintage.

Full-bodied and deliciously mouth-filling, this wine offers heaps of aromas and flavour that come together in a rich and juicy style. Hardy's constructed the Stonehaven Winery in 1998 with the purpose of showcasing the distinct qualities of the Limestone Coast region in Southern Australia. Following Hardy's acquisition by Constellation and subsequent brand expansion, the winery fell into dormancy after being sold. In early 2021, C.W. Wines acquired both the Stonehaven winery and brand, subsequently reintroducing the Stonehaven label to the market. Now sporting a revitalized appearance and market strategy, Stonehaven aims to appeal to contemporary wine enthusiasts, offering a wine selection suitable for any occasion.

The Limestone Coast enjoys plentiful access to water and cool evening temperatures, which remain low even as daytime temperatures rise. This diurnal shift is optimal for the gradual maturation of grapes, enhancing flavour development while maintaining acidity—a crucial factor in grape cultivation within such a warm climate.

A bold and fruit-forward wine characterized by plentiful black fruit flavours and a full, rounded palate. Its lingering notes reveal dark berry fruits, violet petals and spices with subtle oak, adding toasted nuances and a hint of brambly sweetness. The Schild Family have been grape growers in the Barossa Valley since 1952. Growing the estate from one vineyard to over 134ha across 11 precious sites, their generational wisdom and knowledge of the land allows for premium fruit to flourish each vintage. Their Estate Wine label was created as a small side project and quickly grew in reputation and is now loved worldwide. 

The Southern area of the Barossa Valley has higher altitudes and slightly cooler climates to play with. Hills, valleys and cool gully winds provide delicate and balanced nuances, shown between seasons and sites. Driven by the unique characteristics of each vineyard, Schild Estate wines are an authentic reflection of the terroir in the region. A true expression of Southern Barossa.

From two precious estate-owned vineyards that sit high in the hills, this Grenache reflects the characteristics of the old and survivor vines that produce low-yielding, high quality fruit. The resulting wine offers dark cherries, red currents with floral undertones and savoury spices. The bright fruit is evenly layered amongst a softly tannic frame are followed by a long licorice-infused finish.

Pair with slow-braised beef and a medly of your favourite roasted root vegetables.

The Old Testament vineyard is located in the heart of the Coonawarra. The resulting wine produced suggests ripe mulberry and blueberry aromatics with gentle notes of  shaved pencil and menthol on the nose. Soft red berry fruits begin to unfold on the palate, finishing with a spiced-liqueur like quality, carried by velvety tannins and perfectly judged acidity.  

Serve with leg of lamb or other rich dishes - try a country steak and shoe string fries.
