The Schild Family have been grape growers in the Barossa Valley since 1952. Growing the estate from one vineyard to over 134ha across 11 precious sites, their generational wisdom and knowledge of the land allows for premium fruit to flourish each vintage. Their Estate Wine label was created as a small side project and quickly grew in reputation and is now loved worldwide.
Deep ruby-purple in colour, the wine opens with intense yet vibrant aromas of dark berry fruit, lifted by subtle notes of creaminess and spice. The palate follows with a smooth, mouth-filling entry, revealing layered flavours of blood plum, blackcurrant, and dark chocolate—hallmark characteristics consistently expressed across vintages—beautifully framed by fine, polished tannins.
A natural match for grilled or roasted beef, particularly when served rare or with a pepper sauce, it also pairs beautifully with barbecued ribs, sausages, smoked brisket, or grilled vegetables.
Instantly appealing with blackberry, vanillin oak, clove, game and cocoa aromas, it's plump and opulent in the mouth with plush texture backed by loads of silky tannins, finishing robust and sturdy with seductive complexity. At its best: now to 2036.
