This Melon de Bourgogne varietal wine presents a pale straw hue. The bouquet exhibits subtle notes of fresh mint, complemented by hints of lemon and stone fruit. On the palate, the wine displays a crisp acidity, with flavours of pear, nectarine, and peach unfolding in harmony. The 5-month ageing process in neutral oak imparts a refined character to the wine without overpowering its natural characteristics.

This Pinot Gris presents a straw-like hue with subtle grey undertones, characteristic of the varietal. The aromatic profile is dominated by notes of mint and minerality, with undertones of eucalyptus and a floral backbone that provides depth and complexity. The palate is light-bodied and refreshing, with citrus flavours of lemon and lime that linger pleasantly. The mouthfeel is lubricative, typical of Pinot Gris, leaving a clean and revitalizing finish.

Textured & Bright

Once the site of a monastery of the Olivetan order, Giovanni Cenci lives and works his family’s generations- old farm, producing some of the most compelling, complete wines of the region. The family farm spans 30 hectares for grains and grazing, with only 7 hectares planted to ancient clones of Grechetto, Trebbiano Toscana, Sangiovese, Merlot, and more; above all, this is an ecosystem for living, not a winery for churning out bottles.

Wine has of course been crucial to this site for hundreds of years, not just because of the people who have worked the land, but rather the uniqueness of the place itself: massive blocks of travertine marble are visible alongside limestone-rich clay soils, giving the wines definition alongside meaningful substance.

Anticello is made with Grechetto grapes, which are destemmed and left in contact with skins for about an hour before starting fermentation. The grapes are then fermented in stainless steel (80%) and wooden barrels (20%). It ages for 7 months in steel with frequent bâtonnage. 

On the glass, it has a deep straw yellow colour with golden hues. On the nose, it has aromas of stone fruit, citrus, and wild flowers. The palate is fruity, savoury, fresh, slightly tannic, soft and powerful.

Bright & Fruity

Led by wine and cheesemaker Glenn Symons, Lighthall Vineyards is proud to make products that reflect the unique qualities of Prince Edward County. The winery specializes in low-intervention winemaking using grapes grown from their 63 acres of limestone-rich vineyards. They are known for high-quality chardonnay, pinot noir, and exceptional sparkling wines.

A delicious expression of County sparkling wine. Made with 100% vidal grapes, the bubbles are created using the Charmat method to preserve the wine’s bright, youthful fruit. Progression features smooth, persistent bubbles and fresh, vibrant acidity. This sparkling displays aromatics of white grapefruit and green apple peel with delicate floral notes which are repeated on the palette.

Served well chilled, Progression is perfect as an aperitif but also plays nicely as the main event.

Mineral & Zesty

Lighthall Vineyards is a small, proud, low volume and high quality winery located in enchanting Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. As typically found in County Chardonnay, this wine starts with aromas of flinty
minerality, Asian pear, and salted caramel. A round palate is filled with flavours of golden delicious apple, baking spices, and a hint of lemon. Put together, it’s like an apple crumble before it’s been baked! The smooth texture and long finish leave you satiating for more.

Our Phillipston Road (Manchego-style) cheese is literally made for this wine. Rich, salty, and nutty, it makes a perfect match. Coquilles St. Jaques, Oysters Rockefeller, halibut, spaghetti cacio e pepe, zucchini ravioli with grated lemon zest, butter poached cod, and chicken with a cream sauce are all wonderful pairings.

Earthy & Peppery

A cooler vintage brings freshness to one of the county’s best varieties. Strawberry, red currant, candied cherry, and a savoury garrigue all burst from the glass. Tones of sumac, cedar, bittersweet chocolate and cinnamon bark bring a discerning finish to this elegant grape. The classic pairing of seared duck breast and mushroom risotto are a must-have.

Classically, a pan seared or confit duck breast with black pepper and wild mushroom risotto is delightful. We also recommend blue cheeses, gruyere, taleggio, jollof with smoked mackerel, grilled pork butt chop with a sumac compote, black truffles, miso chicken, grilled salmon, or tuna sashimi.

Floral & Fruity

Cool-climate Merlot at its best. This wine is loaded with all things blue and moody: damson plums, violet, fig, blue-acai, and chocolate-covered blueberry. Rich oak tones of vanilla, chocolate, and marshmallow balance out the fruit intensity and leave a long yet distinguished finish.

A blend of fruit from 4 different vineyards from the best appellations across Niagara, the 2021 Pinot Noir is the epitome of the Leaning Post style. This wine combines classic “P(inot)-funk” flavours of candy cane beet root, earth, leaves and dirt with stunning bing cherry and raspberry.  Made in a style that is slightly more approachable than our single-vineyard Pinots, it still shows incredible depth and complexity. The incredibly supple mouthfeel, medium body and balanced acidity frame exceptional flavour intensity, leading to a long, sweeping finish the ends on a decidedly mineral and crunchy note.

Pair this Pinot Noir with smoky glazed ham or easy lentil curry.

This wine will age for 4 to 5 years.  

Spicy & Tropical

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

Harvested on September 25, 2021, the grapes were destemmed, into concrete tanks where it went through a spontaneous fermentation. It remained in concrete and aged on skins for 25 days, then it was gently pressed into clay amphora (17%) and stainless steel (83%). This wine was racked only a handful of times prior to being bottled unfiltered on April 13, 2022.

This wine represents the evolving nature of wine in Niagara. Orange marmalade, jalapeño pepper jelly, and passionfruit dominate the nose and palate, while elderflower honey, cream and lemon dominate the palate with a rich and oily texture. It is all tied together with bracing acidity, gorgeous texture and a seam of fine tannin. Chill and drink as it warms to reveal new facets of its unique personality.

Enjoy with fish tacos or fish and chips.

Spiced & Round

This blended wine (61% Merlot, 39& Cabernet Franc) always over-delivers massively for the price. Blackberry, cassis, raspberry and mulberry instantly appear on the nose, with lilac, cracked white pepper, licorice and pancetta following closely behind. On the palate, the warmth and weight of the 2020 vintage is immediately evident, with a very broad and weighty mid-palate featuring plum, wild-blueberry, and strawberry layered over dark- chocolate and graphite with wisps of herbs-de-provence and black olive fading in and out.

The powerful but soft tannins make it satisfying to drink now with a good decant, but it will certainly age well over the next 5-8 years. Great with burgers, cured meat, and hard cheese.

Zesty & Mineral

Mature vines really display the wonderful minerality of the Twenty Mile Bench in Vineland. This Chardonnay has fantastic peach, pear and hazelnut aromas while on the palate, pineapple, mandarin orange, lemon curd, and crème-brulee play off a mineral base. A round, mouth-filling texture is balanced by good acidity leading to a long, supple finish.

Drink with lemon roasted chicken, semi-soft cheese, and freshly baked bread. It will age well for the next 5-8 years if you can wait.

Douro, the first demarcated wine region in the world, was registered in 1756. However, such is the variety of terroirs and exposures in the Douro that one might say there are many Douros. This is why, between the years of 1935 and 1947 a system of grading was introduced classifying the vineyards in this region from A to F, being “A” vineyards the ones with best potential for production of Port Wines showing superior maturation of the grapes and generally located closer to the river where most of the concentration and power, which characterizes the Douro wines, is found. This is our letter A Douro wine.

Deep ruby-violet color, showing a concentrated aroma of dark fruits combining with subtle herbal and floral notes. In the palate, concentrated ripe fruit contrast with powerful but well-rounded tannins ending in a persistent finish.

This is a fresh, balanced rendition of a classic Douro red. Preserving the intrinsic bent toward the richness and power of the Douro, all while showcasing balance, minerality and elegance. Some of the vines tended at an altitude of 200m to 540 m altitude in schist soils, and others at 600m altitude in granitic soils elevation, both in Cima Corgo, Douro. This is a subregion that experiences extreme highs and lows from a temperature standpoint, with some of the greatest day-night temperature delta in Portugal. As such the fruit experiences extended hangtime.

Deep violet. On the nose, redolent of black and blue fruit tinged with violets and wet stone. On the palate, rich but balanced, with fresh acidity coupling the dark blueberry and plum fruit. Finishes long and spicy, with a big dose of flowers and minerals.

This Reserva is the result of mixing the experience of the two winemakers, brother and sister, lots of “discussions”, lots of fun.  All grapes are hand-picked into 18kg cases. In the winery cold soak, spontaneus fermentation, post maceration on skins for 26 days. Aged 18 months in neutral french oak barrels.

Deep violet in colour, Maçanita Reserva Tinto offers a concentrated aroma of red fruits and round tannins. On the palate, the finish is intense and persistent, showing the depth and character of the wine.

This wine comes from a collection of parcels located in Carlão, Cima Corgo, with vineyards aged between 80 and 92 years, planted at an altitude of 510 meters. The soils of these vineyards are a transition between schist and granite, offering a unique terroir that reflects the diversity and richness of this Douro subregion.

The composition of Os Canivéis includes a blend of 11 traditional varieties, with a manual harvest conducted in 18 kg boxes and a winemaking process that combines partial destemming with whole clusters. The wine undergoes a 40-day maceration and is aged for 18 months in neutral French oak barrels, allowing its freshness and authentic character to shine through.

With a light ruby-violet color, Os Canivéis Tinto presents aromas of fresh fruit and dark chocolate. On the palate, it offers a creamy entry with firm and prolonged tannins, displaying an elegant structure. Ideal for pairing with dark meats, Asian cuisine, and spicy cheeses.

With a very limited production, it is an enological gem from the Douro, reflecting the artisanal approach and dedication to the winemaking tradition of this region.

Maçanita’s Letra F reflects the ever-evolving landscape in the wine world: a fresh, field-blend wine hailing from some of the most intriguing vineyard sites in the Douro. A field blend of more than 20 red and white grape varieties from 70- to 110-year-old vines. 70% red and 30% white grapes. They are planted to granitic soils at an average altitude of 500m (1,600 ft) to 730m altitude (2,400 ft) elevation.

Ruby color. On the nose, red fruit tinged with white flowers and mineral notes. On the palate, fresh and lively, with bright acidity, showing intensity and concentration of aroma. Tannins are long, fine, and grippy, guiding this lighter-bodied red to a very saline finish.

Made with a blend of traditional Douro grapes. After a long period of maceration, the fermentation took place, with the help of indigenous yeasts,  in stainless steel vats. Then, the 60% of the batch has been transferred to French oak barrels, where it has stayed in contact with fine lees, for 9 months, and it was subjected to a regular stirring, before being mixed, filtered and bottled.

A unique white that goes well with a variety of soft cheeses. Lightly pungent, with a hint of Epoisses cheese, macadamia nuts and white mushrooms. Supple, subtle and attractively nutty on the palate, with a medium to full body and fresh but creamy acidity. Very composed and long.

Maçanita’s Douro Branco exemplifies the confluence of richness and elegant minerality that is the hallmark of Douro whites. The indigenous Viosinho provides the backbone to this mineral driven wine, showcasing the slate soil and high altitude plantings that fuel this project. Fermented and aged all in stainless steel, Antonio and Joana very capably maintain the freshness and acidity in this wine, yielding a wine of purity and balance.

Bright yellow-gold. On the nose, fresh floral aromas commingle with ripe yellow and green orchard fruit and a touch of slate. On the palate, bright and juicy, with mouth filling concentration and refreshing acidity. A core of green and gold apple, pear and white pepper are wrapped with pleasant floral and mineral flavours on the long finish. Maçanita Douro Branco is a beautiful pair for roasted or grilled poultry, as well as richer seafood dishes.

The Old Testament vineyard is located in the heart of the Coonawarra. The resulting wine produced suggests ripe mulberry and blueberry aromatics with gentle notes of  shaved pencil and menthol on the nose. Soft red berry fruits begin to unfold on the palate, finishing with a spiced-liqueur like quality, carried by velvety tannins and perfectly judged acidity.

Primary aromatics abound, calling out fresh, bright and lively berried fruits, red licorice, homemade jelly, and wild flowers. Additional notes of fennel and tar also reveal themselves in subtle, lifted shades. This red wine is an effortless three-step dance, with the pretty fruity notes of the Grenache leading on the palate, giving way to lightly peppery flavours from the Shiraz, all supported by the structure of the Mourvedre. The wine finishes with lingering notes of sweet oak spice.  

This red wine will deal with the most robust foodstuffs you can minister. Serve lightly chilled in warmer weather and as is when things get chillier. 

Fruity & Floral

Established in 1996 the family owned, and managed vineyard produces wine with flavours that are a direct reflection of the Gladstone region. Ancient stony, alluvial soils
and a cool climate allows the grapes to grow in harmony in their environment. Sustainable practices and minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery allow our wines to display their distinctive single vineyard characteristics.

The harvested fruit was processed quickly into tank to retain the vibrant aromas and fresh acidity. The tank portion is fermented slow and cool to retain the varietal characters of Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are aged on light yeast lees for nine months before blending, fining and filtration.

A fragrant lift of spiced stone fruit, tropical fruits with a hint of dark herb notes. Packed with flavour, a core of ripe nectarine and lemon-lime acidity, finishing with passionfruit and blackcurrant.

The Piazzo winery’s story began in the 1960s in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio, Alba, when newlyweds Armando Piazzo and Gemma Veglia, from farming families, invested in the Langhe, a region not yet recognized for its premium wines. Despite post-war challenges, they saw the area’s potential and focused on Nebbiolo, a varietal now renowned globally. Their first wine, made from Nebbiolo, was released in 1979, and by 1982 it was labeled as Barbaresco. In 1985, with the involvement of their daughter Marina and her husband Franco, the family launched their first Barolo, solidifying the winery’s reputation. Continuing under Marina & family's management, their philosophy blends tradition with innovation, producing wines that authentically reflect the Langhe and Roero regions.

Barbaresco Pajorè is the latest addition to the Estate's collection and is a true expression of a renowned cru in Treiso, one of the four villages in the Barbaresco DOCG region. Named after the farmhouse at the center of the vineyard, “Pajorè” is derived from the local dialect term for its former owner, Peirolero. The lime and clay-rich soils, though low in nutrients, produce small yields that result in fruit packed with complex aromas. This Barbaresco is intense and aromatic with floral hints of roses, subtle spice, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it opens fruity, followed by a dry, tannic structure with a long, rewarding finish.

Pair this with well-structured, game-based mains, and medium-mature cheeses.

The Crater Rim is a family-owned boutique winery situated in the rolling hills of Waipara, in the South Island of New Zealand. They produce sustainably crafted, terroir-driven wines from carefully selected sites well-suited to the varietals they cultivate. The first vintage produced by The Crater Rim was from a small hillside vineyard, high above the town of Akaroa on Banks Peninsula – and so the brand ‘The Crater Rim’ was born. 

Winemaker and Viticulturist Haydon Good strives to make wines of character and quality through a watchful, non-interventionist style. He uses a combination of new and traditional techniques and technology to allow the fruit to become wine. Los Compadres (co-fathers) refers to the friendship and partnership with growers of old vine Cabernet Sauvignon that have trusted Vinos Baettig with grapes coming from the best lots of dry farmed vineyards. These special parcels are close in term of quality and style providing different components to Vinos Baettig Cabernet Sauvignon.

The wine opens up with alluring aromas of blackcurrants and raspberries, quickly allowing notes of mint leaves and cigar box to unfold alongside the fruit. Full-bodied on the palate without feeling heavy, there's excellent concentration of ripe fruit, tea leaves and black olive tapenade that tempers the sturdy tannins. Sprightly acidity underscores the wine with freshness and helps carry the fruit and gentle spices into the finish. 

The robustness of Cab Sauv will match nicely with meat-based pasta dishes such as lasagna, baked ziti or ragu/bolognese sauce.

Francisco Baettig and Carlos de Carlos cut their teeth in the wine industry as part of the well known Errázuriz operation, where they worked together for many years. Inspired by their mutual love of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the talented enologist and savvy businessman branched out to create Vinos Baettig. Produced in small batches and sold as limited editions to selected buyers, their wines have swiftly become some of the most interesting & highly lauded among the emerging talents of Chile. 

This Selección de Parcelas was made with Chardonnay grapes grown in Malleco, in the appellation of Traiguén. Malleco is a land of wild forests, beautiful lakes, active volcanoes and abundant rain in southern Chilean. The name Los Primos (the cousins) refers to the closeness of style and quality of the vineyard parcels (named Triángulo and Llaima) that give rise to this wine. 

Highly refined and expertly balanced, this vintage of Los Primos Chardonnay tenders aromas of citrus fruits, orange blossoms, honeysuckle and jasmine with light splashes of walnuts tossed in sweet spices. It has great energy and precision, but above all it stands out for its mineral texture and depth. Expect to find green apple and crunchy peach lasting long into the saline-tinged finish. 

Consider pairing with shellfish and crustaceans - think lobster, crab, bivalves, shrimp, prawns & scallops! White meats also work very well, such as pork tenderloin or veal chops.

In 1984 Neil Ellis sourced grapes from vineyards not of his own and produced wine in rented cellar space. These grapes were sourced in the Stellenbosch district and meant a lot of nosing around the restrictive quota system prevalent at the time.

Today, the experience and knowledge of the past are applied to modern techniques and technologies for a new generation of winemaking. “Our vision remains to make distinctive, refined wines that are expressive of their terrain and rank amongst South Africa’s finest. A pursuit of quality, nothing less” - Neil Ellis.

Intense dark colour. The nose shows restraint, with aromas of black berry, liquorice and cedar notes. The palate is tight and fresh followed by fine, dense tannins. This is a wine built to last and for early drinking would benefit with decanting.   

This wine will be a great match alongside chargrilled ribeye on the bone.

This, Lighthall's first edition of concrete aged Chardonnay, paints the clearest image yet of county terroir. Clear and authentic, the nose is brimming with honeyed apple, lemon yogurt, salted oyster shell, and beeswax. The flavours continue in the palate, but the star of the show is the opulent, luscious, yet elegant mouthfeel that lingers with finesse.

A brilliant seafood wine, this is a knockout with oysters, halibut, butter-poached cod,
lobster, crab, and scallops. Lemon chicken, rabbit, and quail are good meat options, while grilled asparagus, hummus, creamy orzo, and tofu souvlaki make delightful vegetarian picks. Rich, creamy, and mild cheeses are well balanced by the bright acidity and round texture.
