Gentle oak aging adds definition supporting a delicious, harmonious balance between tannin, acid and fruit.

Channing Daughters Ramato Orange 2020
$39.95 / bottle
Release Date August 7, 2021
Vintages #: 21266
750ml bottle
Floral & Savoury

Channing Daughters grow vines and create wines from over two-dozen grape varieties on a beautiful, breeze-filled 28-acre plot of land in Bridgehampton, on the South Fork of Long Island’s East End.

'Ramato' ('coppery') refers to the old Friulian style of fermenting Pinot Grigio on its skins, thus creating a copper-coloured wine. Fruit for this wine was picked by hand and fermented on the skins using wild ambient yeast before maturing in old French and Slovenian oak for four months. Look for fresh and dried flowers, dried fruits and gingerbread.

This orange wines can be enjoyed quite simply as an aperitif with pistachios, almonds and hazelnuts, or pop and pour with pasta salad and Parmigiano-Reggiano.

La Fralluca Costa Bianco Toscana 2017
$21.95 / bottle
Release Date September 4, 2021
Vintages #: 20314
750ml bottle
Full-Bodied & Rich

La Fralluca is situated on the hills of Suvereto facing Monteverdi Marittimo, at about 120 meters above sea level in a magnificent area immersed in a wild, uncontaminated natural area, surrounded by woods and Mediterranean shrub. It stretches over 45 hectares of land, 10 of which are vineyards on soils characterized by the typical geological formation of limestone, medium textures, calcareous, with plenty of stone. Luca and Francesca, the owners of the winery, chose this area because they fell in love with the enchanting landscape.

A delightful skin contact blend of Viognier and Vermentino, fermented in stainless steel and French oak tonneau. Notes of dried flowers, apricots and honey - this is a perfect entry point into skin contact wines.

The extra bit of flavor in skin-contact whites is a huge advantage with spicy dishes, and they’re one of the best wines to pair with coconut curry or jerk chicken. They’re also great with earthy vegetarian mains like spanakopita or lentil stew.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 10-14 business days to be delivered.

Fresne Ducret Arquemie No. 2 Champagne Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru
$94.00 / bottle
Release Date September 2, 2021
Vintages #: 10291
750ml bottle
Mineral & Fresh

Fresne-Ducret is rich in family history and has been rooted in the premier cru village of Villedommange since the mid 1800s. Originally growing grapes for the big champagne houses, it wasn’t until the end of the second world war that the family decided to make their own wine. The tradition carries on today with Pierre Fresne and his wife Daniella (an Oakville ex-pat). Their philosophy is to produce wines that best exemplify the terroir of Villedommange, and they do this with sustainability in mind.

In 2014 Pierre Fresne began a new adventure in creating a series of micro-batch cuvées for connoisseurs of champagne. Each year, he creates one or two “experiments” to try techniques that he thinks will yield interesting wines. This collection of craft champagnes is called Arquémie, the French word for alchemy used in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Defined as a “truly regal science and an undoubtedly divine study…it makes a thousand different waters, a thousand oils, different liqueurs and infinite other things without which we could not live comfortably or even live at all”, the name Arquémie truly embodies the spirit of the collection.

This beautiful bubbly is quite intense on the nose with citrus fruit notes dominating at first, followed by almond and floral notes. Clean and crisp in the mouth. Creamy texture with delicate citrus, herbal and mineral flavours. Long and refreshing
finish.

Oysters and caviar are classic partners with Blanc de Blancs as they match the intensity and freshness of the wine. Also look to fried foods, including Fish 'n' Chips and calamari, or smoked fish such as salmon or trout.

This product is part of the LCBO September Classics Catalogue. It will take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered from its release date.

Domaine Chante Cigale Extrait Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2019
$76.00 / bottle
Release Date September 2, 2021
Vintages #: 21144
750ml bottle
Full-Bodied & Rich

As at many family domaines with deep roots in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, vigneron Alexandre Favier was by his own account “raised in the vineyards”: Alexandre’s grandfather, Noël Sabon, is from one of the best known winemaking families in the region. Alexandre himself began his viticultural studies in Orange at the age of fifteen and passed the exams four years later in 2001. A year later (at age twenty!) he took over winemaking duties at the domaine when his father experienced health problems. Today, Domaine Chante Cigale is one of the most important family estates of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

This is a traditional house with 40 hectares of red grapes and 5 hectares of white. They have parcels in all of the main soil types of Châteauneuf and they vinify the top parcels separately. Only native yeasts are employed in the cellar, and the reds are mostly de-stemmed.

Vinified and aged in an ovoid concrete vat and selected from an outstanding terroir: this wine is truly “Haute Couture”. A classic blend of Roussanne and Grenache Blanc, the nose is very pure, mineral and saline coated by white fleshed peaches and stone fruits. This is a powerful and elegant white wine with hints of peaches and cream on the palate. Don't be shy - this wine can age beautifully up to 10 years.

Savour this delicious wine with Provencal and Mediterranean cuisine, foie gras, lobster, scallops or king prawns.

This product is part of the LCBO September Classics Catalogue. It will take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered from its release date.

Fresh acidity brightens the rich flavours.

Nicolas Potel is an iconic producer in Burgundy. He grew up in a family dedicated entirely to wine; and after gaining some experience internationally, he started his own project in the late 90's.

Founded in 2009, Maison Roche de Bellene offers a complete range of wines, with an emphasis on individual terroirs from vieilles vignes (old vines - 40 years or older) that are farmed responsibly. All of the growers that Nicolas Potel works with are either organic certified or farming according to the principles of lutte raisonée (“sustainable viticulture”). This enables Potel to consistently produce the expressive, terroir-driven style that is his vision.

Sourced from a 45-year-old parcel with small yields, this wine delivers a lot of classic White Burgundy character -- white flowers, stone fruits, moist earth -- at a very fair price.

Primary aromatics abound, and they are all a clarion call to fresh, bright, lively grenache:
berried fruits, red boiled lollies, homemade jelly, licorice and wild flowers. Higher notes of
fennel and of tar also loose off a few shots, in remembrance of the sunburnt mirth and the warm South. This red wine is an effortless three-step dance. An exalting, Cossack-kicking grenache quickly leads before being turned more slowly by earth, wind, and pepper’s fire - courtesy of the shiraz.

This red wine will deal with the most robust foodstuffs you can minister; and it
will be a red wine as happily chilled in the hotter weather as served in the depths of a long winter..

Garage Wine Co Cariñena/Garnacha/Mataró Field-Blend Bagual Vineyard Lot #76 2016
$38.95 / bottle
Release Date July 10, 2021
Vintages #: 19250
750ml bottle
Herbal & Spicy

Garage Wine Co was literally started in a garage in 2001, by Etobicoke expat Derek Mossman and his wife Pilar Miranda. Since then, the dynamic duo have chosen to revive old vineyards in marginalized Chilean communities. They work mostly in the regions of Maule and Itata where they make highly coveted wines.

This is a single-plot wine coming from the Bagual Vineyard, located near the banks of the Perquilauquen river. A river that (very unusual for Chile!) flows from the Coastal Mountains East towards the Andes passing through Caliboro bringing granitic silt with it. The expressive and aromatic nose of the 2016 Bagual Vineyard made Luis Gutierrez from Robert Parker think of a vermouth or a Barolo Chinato, with tons of aromatic herbs, spices and flowers. It has abundant, fine-grained tannins and a powerful mouthfeel, while at the same time, having elegance and balance.

Wines made from Carignan are ideal with richer poultry dishes such as turkey or duck, roasted pork, or even a meaty beef brisket.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 10-14 business days to be delivered.

Meyer Family Vineyards Stevens Block Chardonnay 2019

Meyer Family Vineyards have been crafting wines in the Okanagan Valley since 2006. Voted one of the top wineries in Canada, they focus on small lot productions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir drawing heavily from Burgundian influences.

This is classy chardonnay from Jak Meyer; whose wines have been turning heads for quite a few years now, especially those of the judges at the WineAlign National Wine Awards. Old Main Road Vineyard sits on a terrace on Naramata Bench in the central Okanagan Valley. Stevens Block is one of four acres on a steep slope with a particular cool style that lights it up on the palate. Still tight and taut in youth, with lemon verbena, cream, meadow grass, and a pad of lees. The finish is long and finely spiced. This will benefit from a couple of years in your cellar.

Top notch, and top value, classy wine. Pair this Chardonnay with any chicken dish, baked, grilled, or fried. It would also pair nicely with seafood.

Sister's Run Epiphany Shiraz McLaren Vale 2018
$17.95 / bottle
Release Date June 26, 2021
Vintages #: 269464
750ml bottle
Full & Smooth

Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like.

Ripe white chocolate fruit aromatics begin in a lifted and pleasantly powerful way; some spice bouquet wafts in from deft oak, and then zephyrs of violets, fresh green herbs, star anise, and eucalyptus float by, at once there and then not there. There is a superb and beautifully underplayed supporting cast, however, of round, smooth
tannic grip, of warm vibrant freshly milled black pepper, of stewed plums doused with a shot of pastis and finished with a grating of dark chocolate.

The balance between richness and tannin, between power and an underlying acid tension and edge, make this red wine almost too drinkable. You could serve this with as much ease alongside an eggplant laksa or a barbecued piece of peppered chicken. Don't be afraid to cellar some of this wine too. There's reward ahead.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 10-14 business days to be delivered.

Alto Cachapoal is a stunning Chilean micro-terroir within the Rapel Valley located in the foothills of the Andes. The climate is Mediterranean, the soils are alluvial, and the altitude is 2,000 feet. Wines from Alto Cachapoal have intense color and aromatic concentration, a bright acidity, and restrained tannins.

They believe that making wine is an art, which is represented through the drawings on the labels by famous Chilean artist Bororo. The modern winery is gravity-fed, and is surrounded by 130 acres of estate vines.

Located at the base of the Andes Mountains, the unique combination of clear skies, cool nights and gravelly soils give this Cabernet its intense color, elegant tannins and expressive fruit character.  Fresh and delicate aromas of blueberries and blackcurrants, which are mixed with savory and spicy hints of pepper, grilled nuts and cloves. On the palate it is medium bodied with remarkably velvety tannins and a long and satisfying finish.

An ideal accompaniment to well seasoned red meats such as beef and lamb with sauces made with pepper or mushrooms. It should also be considered for game meats and hot stews such as veal ragout. As for cheeses gruyère, emmental or manchego are a perfect complement for this wine.

$90.00 / bottle
Release Date June 3, 2021
Vintages #: 20386
750ml bottle
Structured & Refined

At the very top of the hill overlooking the northern Rhône town of Ampuis, you’ll find the humble yet rising-star estate of Christophe Billon. Since 1991, Christophe has crafted honest, authentic Syrah wines from the steep, terraced slopes of Côte-Rôtie. His family’s roots here go back generations; the family’s oldest parcel of vines can trace its origins back to the end of the second world war.

Truly a working winemaker, Christophe for years balanced the demands of his job at Guigal with his own domaine, finally dedicating himself completely to the family project in 2007. His son, Corentin, after finishing his wine studies in 2015, now works at his father’s side.

A selection of fruit from four separate parcels, representing equally the two terroir “sides” of Côte-Rôtie, ‘Les Elotins’ is a floral beauty, dense and refined, beautiful today yet also structured for the long haul.

The traditional blend of Syrah with just a touch of Viognier makes this excellent example of the power, finesse and understated elegance of Côte-Rôtie. Aromas of black cherries, raspberries, pepper dominate and the palate is full bodied and deep with present yet fine-grained tannins.

Today, the family owned and operated winery in the heart of Oregon's Ribbon Ridge AVA produces small lots of acclaimed Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay from its three estate vineyards.

Since the family lives on site, James and Andrea have been committed to farming in a manner that creates a healthy and diverse ecosystem. This includes preservation of the natural habitats that surround their vineyards, dry-farming, never using herbicides, never tilling, extensive composting, bee-friendly viticulture and hand-harvesting every cluster.

The Coast Range Estate Chardonnay shows lovely brightness on the nose, with flinty and petrol tones that combine with the citrus rind and sourdough accents. The freshness entices with bright Challah bread, lemon zest and hints of saline dusted roasted hazelnuts leading up to the long finish. Enjoy this fantastic bottling over the next decade.

Pair this wine with smoked salmon or Dungeness crab cakes or scallops with a Meyer lemon puree.

Meursault is the largest village of the Côte de Beaune, with a history of winegrowing that dates back to the Romans. It is known for producing white wines that are softer and richer than the neighbouring villages of Puligny- and Chassagne-Montrachet. This villages wine is from sustainably farmed vines that are up to 62 years old. It captures the full, rich style of this famous village while maintaining a fine structure.

Rich & Powerful

The Cortonesi family has owned the La Mannella farm in Montalcino for decades and are devoted to the production of Brunello di Montalcino. The Riserva is made only in the very best vintages. The grapes for this wine come from the best selection from the La Mannella vineyards.

"Truffle, Mediterranean scrub, grilled herb and ripe plum aromas fill the glass. The assertive palate shows dried wild cherry, raspberry, powdered sage and a flash of leather alongside youthfully austere tannins that leave a rather drying finish." WE
