Nestled at the foot of the hillside in Aloxe-Corton, Château Corton Frey stands as one of Burgundy’s most iconic landmarks. Built in the late 19th century atop 15th-century cellars, this historic estate is the region’s most photographed site after the Hospices de Beaune. Legend holds that Emperor Charlemagne once owned vineyards here in the 8th century, planting Chardonnay to preserve the whiteness of his beard.

The estate’s seven hectares span thirteen prestigious appellations, forming part of Burgundy’s intricate mosaic of climats, where the expression of terroir has been honed over centuries. Under the ownership of Caroline Frey, a highly regarded oenologist and winegrower, Château Corton Frey brings together Burgundian tradition with a sustainable, precision-driven philosophy. With intentionally limited production, each wine is crafted to reflect the purity and character of its origin.

Located between Beaune and Volnay in the Côte de Beaune, and often referred to as “the flower of Beaunois wines,” Pommard has long embodied the essence of Burgundy, remaining steadfast and true to its character over the centuries.

Intense ruby red in colour, the wine opens with bright aromas of black and blue fruit, lifted by hints of cherry cola and toasted spice. Full-bodied and structured on the palate, it shows velvety, mouth-coating tannins and a precise line of acidity that cuts through the richly compact fruit. A wine that will reward patience, with more savoury complexity and further textural refinement expected to emerge with age.

First recorded in the 9th century as “in Montelio” in the Cartulary of Saint-Symphorien of Autun—meaning “on the small mountain”—the village’s history is deeply rooted in its landscape. The “Les Champs Fulliot” parcel, once home to quarries and open fields, takes its name from the Old French feuille (leaf) and bois foudre (thicket), evoking its natural origins.

From this warm vintage, the 1er Cru shows a colour of notable vibrancy and depth. The nose is expressive and inviting, led by plush black-skinned fruits and fragrant wildflowers. The palate opens beautifully, with a soft, voluminous texture supported by finely integrated tannins and bright, tangy acidity, culminating in a complex, poised finish that echoes with finesse.

Produced as a monopole within the very walls of the Château de Corton, this Grand Cru takes you to the heart of the village, where Burgundy’s excellence reaches its most extraordinary heights. The nose is intense and expressive, unveiling ripe black fruits—blackcurrant and cherry—interlaced with subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is generous, round, and full-bodied, supported by supple, finely structured tannins. It unfolds to a lingering, elegant finish, with subtle hints of leather and truffle emerging.

Aging potential: 10 to 20 years

Julien Bonneau, (Château Haut Grelot in the Blayais), and his friend Alexandre Lavigne, restaurateur in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, created in 2014 a range of wines, Grains d'Estuaire, from a 10 ha vineyard located in Saint-Bonnet-sur-Gironde, in the south of Charente-Maritime.

Crafted from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and produced at a yield of 40 hectoliters per hectare. The vines thrive in gravelly-sandy loam soils on the Agrières hillsides, near the estuary, which contribute to the wine’s distinctive character and structure. Vinification is carried out entirely in barrels, ensuring a meticulous expression of the grape and terroir. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 16 months in 225-liter barrels, allowing it to develop depth, complexity, and refined balance. On the nose, it reveals woody, vanilla, and toasty aromas complemented by the freshness of red fruits. The palate is powerful and full-bodied, with enveloping tannins and a long, aromatic finish.

Rich & Spicy

The origin of Château Lamartine goes back to 1883, when Lise and Benjamin’s great grand father acquired a piece of land and started to farm grapes and sell wine in barrels. The winery holds the 'Haute Valeur Environnementale' certificate in sustainability, and are right now in their third year of organic conversion.

The Cahors AOP is right in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean sea. We could say that it’s the heart of the South West. Due to its geographic situation, the appellation has a particular microclimate, which is perfect for Malbec.

This is a rich wine with powerful tannins. It has ripe dark blue and black fruit notes with a touch of vanilla.  While the tannins are full the wine has a great acid backbone to maintain the structure.

This is a top value, structured and succulent red that is ready to sip alongside some salty, fatty protein.
