1 bottle x Stéphane Aviron Morgon Côte du Py 2022 (Beaujolais, France)
Red | Gamay
The Morgon Côte du Py is Stéphane Aviron’s most structured, earthy wine, that is drinkable now and can age wonderfully for as much as ten years. The grapes are sourced from the slopes of an 1150-foot inactive volcano that is regarded as one of the top terroirs in all of Beaujolais.
The nose is refined and captivating, offering aromas of ripe berries layered with earthy and mineral undertones. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and balanced, showcasing vibrant crushed berry flavors that lead into a firm, well-defined finish. It pairs beautifully with red meats, hearty stews, French onion soup, soft cheeses, and dark chocolate.
1 bottle x Chateau du Moulin Noir (Montagne Saint-Emilion) 2014 (Bordeaux, France)
Red| Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Softly-textured wine from an estate in Montagne-Saint-Emilion. Moulin Noir consists of seven hectares of vineyards on a good clay and limestone site.
From an excellent vintage, this wine has held up remarkably well and is a delight to drink at present, salty and a touch ferrous with dried wild herbs, leather and macerated cherry on the palate. The tannins have been abated over time adding a velvety volume to the palate. Excellent length.
1 bottle x Domaine Baud 'Rouge Ancestral' Côtes du Jura AOC 2022 (Jura, France)
Red | Trousseau, Pinot Noir
A delicious blend of 70% Trousseau and 30% Pinot Noir, this cuvée is named “Ancestral” because it is made from Baud's oldest plots of red grapes planted by Clementine and Bastien's grandfather.
This light and whimsical red wine has aromas of leather and concentrated notes of morello cherry and wild strawberries. The tannins are soft, silky, and elegant. Extra sensation with a light chill.
Enjoy it on its own, or serve with red meats such as game and venison.
1 bottle x Matthieu Barret Black Flag IGP Ardèche 2023 (Côtes du Rhône, France)
Red | Syrah
Black Flag is made from Syrah grown in the terroirs of Ardèche. It is aged for 12 months in concrete eggs and used oak barrels, with a final ageing of a year in concrete tanks. This is a very fresh Syrah with a silky and delicate texture. The nose has notes of liquorice, violet, black olive tapenade, cured meats and pink peppercorn, wrapped around a core of dark fruit. On the palate is savoury, medium-bodied, and absolutely delicious. A very clean, fresh and lively Northern Rhone.
1 bottle x Château Laronde Desormes Bordeaux Supérieur 2021 (Bordeaux, France)
Red | Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot
Located along the edge of the Haut Medoc and at the very beginning of the Margaux appellation, Château Laronde-Desormes shows exceptional character beyond its simple “Bordeaux Supérieur” appellation. Fine red Bordeaux like the Château Laronde Desormes is a versatile wine that pairs beautifully with poultry, red meats, rich sauces, and game—think duck, pheasant, quail—or dishes like Sautéed Veal Medallions, Filet Mignon with shiitake mushrooms, or Chicken Fricassee. It also complements soft cow’s-milk cheeses (Gouda, Morbier, Muenster, Port Salut) and shines when served alongside simple, fresh, high-quality ingredients.
1 bottle x Domaine Peter Sichel Montanha 2024 (Languedoc-Roussillon, France)
Red | Grenache
Montanha is made from Grenache. The vines are cultivated between 300 and 400 meters above sea level on clay-limestone mountain slopes. After a short infusion of 2.5 days, the must is pressed and the wine finishes its fermentation in concrete vats.
Montanha, meaning "Mountain" in Occitan, is a refreshing infusion crafted from fresh mountain fruits. The wine presents a clear ruby hue, accompanied by a clean and expressive nose featuring notes of red fruits and wild strawberries. Its profile reveals a fine and elegant structure, making it a delightful experience for the senses.
