About the Winery

Ca' del Monte

Ca del Monte is situated on the hillsides overlooking the village of Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella. It has belonged to the same family for generations, and is now run by brothers Umberto and Giuseppe Zaconte. There’s nothing fancy about this place. The house and winery are modest - and are attached to a 17th century monastery.

The estate is approximately 50 acres, and its 15-65 year old vines lie on gentle slopes at 800-900 meters. They grow on four soils including clay, limestone, red volcanic soil with red stones, and “Toar,” a green volcanic soil. The vineyards of Ca Del Monte are planted with 20-40 year old vines of Corvina, Rodinella and Molinara grapes that are planted in poor soils that stress the vines and nurture the fruit. All of the farming is done traditionally and non-certified organic.

Villa Calcinaia

Nestled in the rolling hills of Greve in Chianti, Villa Calcinaia is one of Chianti Classico’s historic estates, stewarded by the Capponi family since 1524. For more than five centuries, the family has cultivated these vineyards with a deep respect for tradition, place, and the enduring character of Sangiovese.

The estate spans sun-drenched slopes, olive groves, and woodlands that frame vineyards rooted in galestro and alberese soils—hallmarks of great Chianti Classico. Here, elevation, exposure, and soil diversity converge to shape wines of elegance, structure, and unmistakable terroir.

Villa Calcinaia’s philosophy marries heritage with thoughtful innovation. Vineyard work is guided by sustainable practices and careful parcel selection, and the estate’s wines are certified organic, reflecting a long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and the health of the land. In the cellar, the approach favors gentle extraction and patient aging to preserve purity of fruit and nuance of site. The result is a portfolio that captures the soul of Chianti Classico—from vibrant, expressive bottlings to refined Riservas and Gran Selezione wines that reward time in the cellar.

At Villa Calcinaia, winemaking is not a trend but a legacy—an unbroken conversation between land, family, and vine that continues to define the estate’s distinctive voice within Chianti Classico.

About the Winery

Gilvesy Pincészet

Hungarian expat Róbert Gilvesy moved back to his homeland from Canada, and began building the Gilvesy winemaking empire on the former Esterházy estate on Szent György Hill. Thanks to years of hard work, the Hegymagas-based facility now includes a modern building complex and about 13 hectares of vineyards, in addition to being the home of the family. The area is shaped by 6 million years old volcanoes, where indigenous and international varieties grow organically.

Robert’s absolute admiration for nature and the terroir translates into an immense respect for the environment. By farming using organic practices, the soils and the vines stay healthy. In the winery, by letting nature take its course without controlling the processes, and using local resources, such as Hungarian oak barrels, Gilvesy promotes and protects the Balaton region.

Heinrich Weingut

Heinrich Winery believes great wines express a true sense of place — something best achieved when vines thrive within a biologically diverse environment where soil vitality and natural symbiosis are preserved. Their ultimate aspiration is to let nature speak through their wines, guided by ethical and qualitative principles that shape every decision. Since converting to biodynamic viticulture in 2006, their goal has been to make the vineyards more resilient, vital, and diverse. Embracing minimal intervention, all wines ferment spontaneously, often spending weeks on the skins and aging unadulterated on their lees, primarily in used wooden barrels. Time — whether weeks or years — plays the central role in shaping their character, allowing each wine to develop balance and a distinctive aromatic profile. Through careful observation and minimal influence, they remain committed to crafting authentic, genuine wines that faithfully reflect their origin.

Land of Hope

The Land of Hope Trust project started in 2007. Initiated against the background of many “smoke and mirrors” projects purporting to uplift Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI), although very few of which seem to genuinely do so. The direct and sole beneficiaries of this Trust are the previously disadvantaged individual employees of Radford Dale and their children and dependents.

What makes this project unique? Well, the primary objective of the trust is educational. The long-term social upliftment through the gift of high quality education, skills development and the power of developing knowledge. The Trust is making it possible to send Land of Hope employees' children to schools they could only dream about when they were young, which they were not allowed to attend, and which will give the next generation the intellectual ability and the expertise to ensure the positive evolution of our economy their democracy and community.

Maison Arnaud Baillot

Arnaud Baillot is a young winemaker based in Beaune, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Owner and winemaker, he has been working with lutte raisonnée since 2014 and supplements his Domaine with judicious grape purchases.

As a winemaker, he is passionate about the diversity of wine profiles Burgundy has to offer. So he teams up with Laure Hudelot-Noellat, his wife and granddaughter from the eponymous Domaine, based in Chambolle-Musigny. Together, they produce a comprehensive range of wines, from regional appellation to Grand Cru. Arnaud is very keen to get the best out of every stage of the process, which means he selects the origin of his grapes with the utmost care. He oversees the entire winemaking process, carefully selects his barrels according to the nuances he wishes to bring (wood origin, cooper, toasting, grain, etc.) and finally applies his own ageing policy according to the cuvées... nothing is left to chance, because the treasures a terroir brings are to be earned!

About the Winery

Cordero San Giorgio

Cordero San Giorgio is a new beginning in Oltrépo-Pavese for three siblings who grew up surrounded by their family’s vines at the legendary Vietti Estate in Castiglione Falletto in Barolo. The siblings Francesco, Lorenzo, and Caterina Cordero, are grandchildren of Luciana Vietti & Alfredo Currado, one of the pioneers of the first Barolo crus and considered the “father of Arneis.” Their father is Mario Cordero, Alfredo and Luciana’s son-in-law, who was the company’s co-owner from the beginning of the ‘80s until 2016 when it was sold.

Cordero San Giorgio is located in Santa Giuletta, a village sitting on the first hilly belt of the territory, an area made up of valleys that fan out over the Po Valley with steep slopes and thick ridges. The composition of the soil makes their site particularly suitable for the production of Pinot Nero, making it possible to obtain wines with maximum varietal expression and a strong territorial identity.

The Oltrepò Pavese is a hilly triangle of land in Lombardy, embraced by Piedmont, Liguria, and Emilia-Romagna. A territory dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the culture of wine for centuries: a land of both cultural and gastronomic encounter and exchange. Cordero San Giorgio is in the town of Santa Giuletta, and focuses on working with Pinot Nero, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.

Domaine de Pellehaut

"Pellehaut" gets its name from the Roman or medieval word pila (meaning any kind of solid, pillar-like construction). The presence two kilometres away of mosaics decorated with vines at the Gallo-Roman site of Séviac bears witness to the fact that vines were already grown at Pellehaut in Roman times.

Pellehaut follows a traditional, low-intervention approach to winemaking, using native yeasts from its own vineyards and avoiding thermovinification in favor of cooler fermentation to preserve varietal aromas. After fermentation, the wines are either kept cool in stainless steel tanks or aged for up to two years in fine-grain oak barrels from the Allier forests. Though not part of a prestigious appellation, the estate takes pride in its diverse range of 16 wines, aiming to offer authentic expressions of Gascogne that inspire curiosity and pleasantly surprise wine enthusiasts.

McArthur Ridge

McArthur Ridge Wines is a family-owned winery in New Zealand’s Central Otago, renowned for crafting award-winning wines that reflect the rugged beauty and unique terroir of the Alexandra Valley. Established in the early 2000s, the estate has grown from its first 15 hectares of vines into one of the region’s largest single vineyards, now spanning 175 hectares of ancient glacial terraces. Drawing on Brassknocker soils, glacial-fed water, and a cool alpine climate, the winery focuses on producing expressive Pinot Noir and other small-batch wines with depth, elegance, and balance. Guided by Chief Winemaker Matt Connell and Vineyard Manager Murray Petrie, McArthur Ridge combines careful vineyard stewardship with a commitment to authenticity, innovation, and showcasing the character of Central Otago in every bottle.

Domaine du Coulet - Matthieu Barret

Matthieu Barret was born in Aix-en-Provence in 1975 and studied viticulture in Beaune.

He is the 7th generation vigneron and joined his grandfather in Cornas in 1997. Previously, his family had only been farming and selling grapes. He practices biodynamic viticulture, obtaining very low yields (23 hl/ha) and extraordinary quality. He describes his wines as being 100% grape, with a very low sulphite addition. His wines are extremely clean, and, true to the Cornas character. Domaine du Coulet was founded by Matthieu Barret’s grandfather after WWII, and over the years has supplied grapes to some of the best known producers in the Northern Rhône, including Chapoutier and Delas. While his father eschewed the agrarian lifestyle, opting instead for a career in international business, Matthieu knew early on that he wanted to be a vigneron. In 1998 at the age of only 23, he took over the family’s 25 acres of well-situated vines on the terraced hillsides of Cornas.

From the beginning, Matthieu has employed natural, organic practices and by 2002 (his second year of production) the domaine received its biodynamic certification. With each vintage, Matthieu has gained a better understanding of his vine parcels and through thoughtful experimentation, he now turns out a remarkable selection of Cornas wines that express the unique nuances of each micro-terroir. No new oak, no racking, minimal use of sulfur and no fining or filtration. Pure, sexy Syrah.

Punset

While the vineyards that form Punset have been farmed by the Marcarino family for generations, it is truly thanks to Marina and her incredible energy that the estate is how it is nowadays. In the 1980s, she decided to pursue organic farming – a demanding choice that was rewarded by becoming the first estate to receive the organic certification in Italy. Her passion for the soil and the environment led her to embrace biodynamics and the agronomic philosophy of Manasobu Fukuoka. From one of the healthiest vineyards in Italy, Marina crafts wines that brim with life, energy, and pure terroir.

Known for the very first certified organic Barbaresco of Italy, Marina continues to show the world that you can preserve tradition and think of the future simultaneously.

Sister's Run

Sister’s Run is serious fun. Their talented young winemaker Elena wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like.

Returning from a ‘knees-up’ at midnight, mid vintage, she managed to kick off one high heel and slip back into a boot’ just as the cellar crew cried out, ‘Run Sister Run’; and exactly then their winemaker and label took flight!

The stiletto and boot are Sister’s Run; an independently owned and operated winery with a fierce commitment to making the best wines they can from family vineyards. They don’t take ourselves as seriously as we take our wines, but agree with Elena, all you need to know about wine is the five ‘V’s and remember the best wine is the wine you like.

Azienda Agricola Tornatore

Out of a Sicilian family heritage that traces back to the 17th century, the Tornatore’s Mount Etna wine ventures began in 1865. Today the family’s operations are headed by Giuseppe Tornatore, a businessman whose expertise led to the acquisition of some of the region’s finest north-facing vineyards in the early 2000’s. That heritage and the Tornatore’s profound respect and understanding of the land is showcased in wines that capture the essence of Etna, deftly balancing concentrated flavors, complexity, freshness and refinement.

The company lies in the northern side of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. The soils have volcanic origin and were created through the disintegration of lava, ash and stones from previous volcanic eruptions. The climate on the northern side of the Etna is characterized by mild temperatures, and more rain fall reflecting the influence of the Volcano. The combination of soil, climate and the skill of the winemakers, have made the northern slope of Etna an ideal area for the production of high-quality wines. “Our vineyards and our winery are only a few kilometers from our family home. Founded in 2015, Oenops, meaning ‘wine face’, is a pioneering project whose mastermind is the talented winemaker Nikos Karatzas. Following the micro-négociant system, Oenops aims to produce high quality, great value wines. Rather than owning vineyards, the company sources grapes from selected plots across Greece’s best terroirs, with a focus on cool-climate sites and old vines of indigenous varieties.

At the core of the company’s philosophy is the close partnership with ambitious growers who share a same sustainability-focused approach. Oenops mission is to source great fruit and craft wines that fully express its quality and sense of time and place.
