The Schild Family have been grape growers in the Barossa Valley since 1952. Growing the estate from one vineyard to over 134ha across 11 precious sites, their generational wisdom and knowledge of the land allows for premium fruit to flourish each vintage. Their Estate Wine label was created as a small side project and quickly grew in reputation and is now loved worldwide.
This Chardonnay grown from old vines opens with aromas of citrus, green apple, and delicate white peach, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and oak. The medium-bodied palate offers flavours of lemon and pear with a touch of creaminess, balanced by bright acidity and a gentle oak influence. The finish is crisp and refreshing, with lingering notes of citrus and a subtle hint of nuttiness.
Stylish and complex, the wine presents notes of white flesh peach, rockmelon, vanillin oak, and oatmeal on the nose. The palate is equally satisfying, with excellent weight and an expansive mouthfeel, wonderfully framed by bright acidity, which makes it focused and persistent, with a sustained, engaging finish.
