While the vineyards that form Punset have been farmed by the Marcarino family for generations, it is truly thanks to Marina and her incredible energy that the estate is how it is nowadays. Her passion for the soil and the environment led her to embrace biodynamics and the agronomic philosophy of Manasobu Fukuoka. From one of the healthiest vineyards in Italy, Marina crafts wines that brim with life, energy, and pure terroir. 

The Barbera d'Alba stands as Punset's flagship wine, exemplifying the esteemed traditional style that defines the Piedmont region. This Barbera is characterized by its authenticity and a desirable touch of rusticity. 

The fermentation process occurs in small batches to prevent elevated temperatures and the emergence of overly jammy aromas. A crucial aspect of the winemaking process is achieving a harmonious balance between alcohol content and acidity, with freshness being the paramount objective.

The resulting ruby red wine presents delightful aromas of fresh red berries that are both intense and harmonious. On the palate, the fruity notes shine through, characterized by an energetic acidity and a dry, clean finish. Its appeal lies in its authentic character and distinctiveness, made even more evident by the complete absence of oak aging.

Thanks to its high acidity, Barbera pairs wonderfully with rich, fatty foods.

Winemaker and co-founder Rob Cameron has a colourful winemaking background – learning his craft in unique destinations such as Cyprus, Bulgaria and Hungary before moving on to France, Spain and Italy. For him, the Invivo range is all about taking some of the elegance from the old world and putting that style into amazing grapes, all the while offering wines that are fun and a bit unique.

Packed with fragrant aromas of rockmelon, guava and zesty citrus peel with a generous drive of lime-infused acidity through the sweetly fruited palate. Tropical and fresh showing great phenolic tang that emphasizes the superb balance between ripe fruit and bright acids. Classic and punchy in style, this is a stellar example of NZ Sauvvy B! 

This is a lovely wine to enjoy with light snacks and sunshine, but for something more substantial pair these bold flavours alongside south-east Asian cuisines that feature notes of lime, chilli and coriander. 

Volcanic & Spicy

A breakout star in the Etna DOC of Sicily, Tornatore has become one of the region's largest and most respected wineries. Etna Rosso “Contrada Pietrarizzo” is a pure expression of Nerello Mascalese, produced in the esteemed Tenuta Tornatore cru, historically renowned for the exceptional quality of its grapes. Delicate and remarkably balanced on the nose, with evident notes of small red fruits and florals, seamlessly integrated with mineral character and evolution. On the palate, it boasts impressive structure while delivering surprising drinkability and elegance before ending with a resounding finish. 

Pair this with rich meats or any kind of pasta with tomato based-sauces. If you want to keep it traditional then try alongside eggplant caponata!

Established in 2005, Domaine de Bellene is dedicated to crafting expressive wines from old vines, guided by a strong commitment to sustainable, organic farming. Under the stewardship of winemaker and proprietor of the late Nicolas Potel, the domaine has focused on producing wines that faithfully reflect both place and vintage, while safeguarding the land and its traditions for future generations. Today, Domaine de Bellene is widely respected among Burgundy enthusiasts for its thoughtful range of wines spanning both celebrated and lesser-known appellations.

Named in honour of Nicolas Potel’s great uncle, Jean Ferté—who led the syndicate that purchased Domaine de la Pousse d’Or in 1964, a property historically linked to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti prior to the French Revolution—this cuvée brings together fruit from two estate parcels.

The nose offers fresh aromas of red berry jam and allspice, with subtle, background hints of ruby port. On the palate, vibrant, medium-weight flavours are generous and juicy, supported by fine-grained, gently drying tannins. The finish is fruit-forward and approachable, making this a wine that is drinking well now.

Mineral & Zesty

Château de La Chaize is among the oldest, most historic estates in Burgundy’s Beaujolais region. Cared for by the same family for nearly three and a half centuries, the estate has been passed on to new owners, the Gruy family, who are equally committed to managing the estate with the utmost care, while implementing an ambitious environmental plan.

Pouilly-Fuissé lies in southern Burgundy’s Maconnais region and is produced only from Chardonnay grapes. Vineyards are planted on hillsides containing limestone-rich clay soils with a granitic subsoil. The appellation was established in 1936 and covers roughly 800 ha at altitudes around 200 - 300m a.s.l. Wines tend to be full-bodied, ripe and elegant.

For this wine, the grapes were hand harvested from a selection of different vineyard sites within Pouilly-Fuissé from ~50-year-old vines. Traditional fermentation takes place at a low temperature (62.6° F), and malolactic fermentation is blocked.
50% of the wine is aged in stainless steel, 50% in foudres.

Notes of citrus, iodine and flowers on the nose, while on the palate the wine is balances bright acidity and minerality with an ample body and yellow fruits and spice flavours.

Citrusy & Floral

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

The intense aromatics of this wine leap from the glass, lifted by beautiful, creamy bubbles. Explosive aromas of fresh mandarin orange, Meyer lemon, fresh ginger, and notions of nutmeg and honeysuckle immediately engage the olfactory senses. The palate echoes the nose, but also brings in mango, lychee and rose-petal with the light citrus and floral components wiping through the background. A rich mouthfeel is brought on with this warmer vintage as well as the lees in bottle. Serve well chilled. Pour immediately.

Vibrant & Crunchy

“The Farm” is a 10-acre vineyard in Niagara’s Twenty Mile Bench, planted to Pinot Noir. The property is rooted in traditions of gathering family & friends, and where Peter and Dora Neudorf call home.

THE FARM, Poolhouse Rosé, is made from Gamay grown in Lincoln Lakeshore where the soils are rich in clay and high in minerals. We macerated the grapes on skins for 12 hours before gently pressing into a stainless tank where we started with a slow cold wild ferment, which harnessed the vibrant, dark fruit characters and bright acidity. Fermented dry and bottled shortly after.

The wine is dry & refreshing with notes of cherry & raspberry, and a lingering bright acidity.

Opening with tangy aromas of lemon yoghurt and sliced peaches with hints of mineral reduction layered between. Linear and medium weight on the palate with a soft, custardy texture and lightly pithy acids to balance, building to a salt kissed finish.

The Monts de Boncourt vineyard, planted with Chardonnay in 1999 on a 21.4-are clay-marl terroir, produces rich and complex wines. The soil is mechanically maintained to control weeds and prevent erosion. A nearby stone quarry creates a unique micro-climate by radiating stored heat during the night after hot, sunny days. Ripe and fresh aromas of pear, apple, and a hint of wet stone lead to rich, full-bodied flavours with good persistence. A distinctive saline character shines through, highlighting the unique terroir above Nuits and Vosne, making this a standout value worth noting.

Nutty & Waxy

Lighthall Vineyards is a small, proud, low volume and high quality winery located in enchanting Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. All their wines are produced in a non-interventionist manner and fuelled by passion as hearty as our vines. They also make cheese, designed to pair with their wines.

This wine is unmistakably County Pinot Gris. The aromas of pear and cantaloupe yogurt are delicate, rich, and inviting. The use of an Alsatian yeast strain and our method of partially fermenting in old French oak barrels give a smooth and rich mouthfeel, while the waxy finish of unctuous confit apple with a hint of nutmeg keep you coming back for more.

Choucroute garnie, foie gras, pork dishes, veal parmiggiano, chicken with cream sauces, and a traditional turkey dinner are all wonderful. Pizza bianca with a cream base, taleggio and pear is delightful, while meatier fish like halibut, cod, trout, or arctic char are ideal for the fish lovers. Chèvre and brie make great cheese options.
