Established in 2005, Domaine de Bellene is dedicated to crafting expressive wines from old vines, guided by a strong commitment to sustainable, organic farming. Under the stewardship of winemaker and proprietor of the late Nicolas Potel, the domaine has focused on producing wines that faithfully reflect both place and vintage, while safeguarding the land and its traditions for future generations. Today, Domaine de Bellene is widely respected among Burgundy enthusiasts for its thoughtful range of wines spanning both celebrated and lesser-known appellations.

This cuvée is sourced from a blend of three distinct vineyard parcels, offering ripe aromas of dark cherry and pomegranate layered with warm, earthy undertones. The palate is generous and flowing, with well-integrated tannins that lend a gentle, drying grip to the lush, sappy fruit. The finish is vibrant and expressive, capturing a sense of youthful energy and freshness.

92 Points - John Szabo, MS

A very pretty and refined Savigny old vines from domaine vines, always a solid bottling from Nicolas Potel, and attractively priced. 2022 was a warm vintage to be sure, but there's impressive balance and poise here, a purity of cherry fruit, a suppleness of tannins and comfort of the acids that beguiles. Length and depth are very good, and it's drinking remarkably well even at this early stage - it won't be a vintage for the long term I feel, but there will be considerable pleasure up front.
