At the southerly point of Africa along the Cape South Coast, Elgin stands out as the coolest region for wine production. Situated 450 meters above sea level on the southern ridge overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, lies Iona vineyards, surrounded by the UNESCO-certified Kogelberg Biosphere. Here, a unique microclimate is shaped by the close proximity to the freezing Atlantic Ocean and rapid altitude rise. Misty clouds shield the vineyards from intense sun exposure, filtering the sunlight to promote slow ripening. This results in grapes with perfect acidity, moderate alcohol, and beautifully developed flavours.

Iona's vineyards are meticulously tended by hand using organic and biodynamic methods, prioritizing soil health and integrated pest management. This philosophy extends to their cellar practices, where minimal intervention is required thanks to the exceptional quality of their fruit.

Stylish and Burgundian with bright citrus, white stone fruit, oyster shell minerality and a hint of brioche. The purity of fruit combined with well-judged oak and bright fresh acidity result in a wine that is layered and complex with a lingering finish.

A great match with seafood based dishes - serve alongside Sea Bass with Beurre Blanc or seared scallops. 

Honeysuckle & Minerality

RR81 stands for 'Regional Road 81' - the road The Farm sits on, and a main artery through wine country. The RR81 approach to winemaking is simply fermented grapes with nothing added. One-off wines sourced from some of the best single vineyards in Niagara. These wines are made in the barn at The Farm with minimal intervention (just a few bins and an old basket press). The result equals some of the best, and most unique, wines coming out of Niagara.

Naturally fermented, unfined and unfiltered. The grapes were handpicked on October 5th, and fermented with whole cluster. It was then pressed into neutral French oak barrels and aged on primary lees. Only 4 barrels made.

Drinks like an early spring day, with swirling aromas of honeysuckle, sweet corn and fresh herbs intermingling in the sunshine. The nose is alluringly mineral, greeting you with an unapologetic ode to limestone.

Juicy & Spiced

Keint-He Winery & Vineyards is a boutique winery located in Prince Edward County. The winery has a strong focus on varietals that are typically grown in Burgundy, specifically Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; through which they truly express the best of the County with wonderful individual expressions. Keint-He’s approach to winemaking is as down-to-earth as it gets and their quality is second to none.

This Pinot Noir, crafted using whole cluster carbonic fermentation and unfiltered, presents a bouquet replete with candied cherry aromas. Aged for three months in neutral oak, the wine's mouthfeel is enriched without exhibiting any noticeable oak influences. The palate is characterized by a fresh and revitalizing profile, featuring ripe cherry flavours that dominate the senses.

Intense & Mineral

Keint-He Winery & Vineyards is a boutique winery located in Prince Edward County. The winery has a strong focus on varietals that are typically grown in Burgundy, specifically Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; through which they truly express the best of the County with wonderful individual expressions. Keint-He’s approach to winemaking is as down-to-earth as it gets and their quality is second to none.

This wine is a white varietal crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, with zero skin contact to preserve its crisp characteristics. Displaying a pale peach hue, the bouquet presents aromas of baking spice, maraschino cherry, and nectarine. The palate showcases a lean and light mouthfeel, with a prominent expression of baking spice and uplifting minerality. Fermented in neutral oak barrels for five months, this wine underwent full malolactic fermentation, resulting in a refined and balanced finish.

Hans Herzog embodies a unique narrative as a genuine vigneron solely responsible for both winemaking and viticulture across numerous grape varieties within his 11.5-hectare vineyard. Herzog's estate stands as a true artisanal winery, where a holistic approach to farming isn't just a concept but a way of life. Every aspect of the winemaking process is meticulously overseen by Hans himself, supported by his equally passionate wife and collaborator, Therese. Together, they exemplify a relentless pursuit of quality and perfection in every bottle.

Exquisitely complex and tremendously concentrated, revealing a satin texture and compelling aromas of stone fruits and citrus zest underpinned by delicate florals and spices. The palate shows great depth of flavour along with a satisfyingly rounded feel imparted from the wine's delicate barrel maturation. Finely balanced acidity ensures great energy, promising at least a decade of aging potential. The long, concentrated and dry finish is marked by pristine minerality.
