Earthy & Silky

The Baud estate dates back to 1742, today the 9th generation manages the winery. Siblings Clementine and Bastien, both under 30, are making some of the best value wines in the area. Jura is that narrow valley in the remote hills between Burgundy and Switzerland, which millions of years ago was covered by an Ocean and today still bares many of the fossils from that time. If you kick a stone in a Jura vineyard, it will probably be a fossil.

Trousseau is by far the rarest grape variety in the Jura, planted in less than 8% of the total Jura vineyard, it has a biological relationship with the white grape Savagnin, being originally from this magical region. The vineyards are planted on rich red marl and gravel soils, along the Cotes du Jura appellation. On the nose, it has aromas of red fruits and leather, with a hint of sub-bois. Tannins are soft and silky, and the palate is very well-balanced.

Enjoy it on its own, or pair it with red meats such as game and venison.

Spicy & Tropical

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

“Orange” wine (skin-fermented white) is an ancient technique for making wine and we continue to explore its potential. Harvested on September 30, 2022, the grapes were destemmed, into concrete tanks where it went through a spontaneous fermentation. It remained in concrete and aged on skins for 25 days, then it was gently pressed into clay amphora (35%) and stainless steel (65%) for aging. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphite additions.

This Clockwork opens with vibrant aromas of elderflower honey, mandarin oranges, lemon curd, sweet Thai basil, and lemongrass. On the palate, it mirrors these notes while adding layers of honey, cream, and lemon, all carried by a rich, oily texture. A bright acidity, fine tannins, and a beautiful texture shape a dynamic finish that evolves as the wine warms. It pairs exceptionally well with briny or grilled seafood, such as oysters.

Fresh & Juicy

Fabio Motta, originally from Lombardia, began his adventure as a winemaker in Bolgheri in 2010 when he was thirty years old. However, he first came to the area 10 years earlier when he ventured into the vineyards to take part in the grape harvest as a student of agronomy.
It was love at first sight in more ways than one; he fell in love with the territory and met his future wife, Benedetta Satta, daughter of Michele Satta, a vintner who has been part of Bolgheri’s history and progress over the years.

This Bolgheri blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Sangiovese, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 12 months in cement. Fabio Motta describes it as the wine that launched his winemaking journey, expressing everything he loves about Bolgheri: clear, juicy fruit, harmony, and effortless drinkability. Merlot brings softness and volume, Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure, while the Sangiovese contributes freshness and complexity. Lighter and fresher than expected for the region, it shows silky tannins and aromas of cooked cherry, blackberry jam, mint, and rosemary.

Pair with typical Italian fare - Le Pievi shines next to pizza, light meats and pasta.

Cantine Barbera is located in Menfi, on the west coast of Sicily. Fresh and pleasant like the briny wind blowing from the Mediterranean, this Inzolia comes from young vineyards and is a charming white wine that offers pure Sicilian pleasure at every sip. Pair this wonderful and textured white with rich fish dishes, Moroccan cuisine and other spiced meals. It is also great with fresh salads and grilled vegetables.

The Vitas Winery has been in the family since 1937, for four generations. Red | Sangiovese

The Cortonesi family has owned the La Mannella farm in Montalcino for decades and are devoted to the production of Brunello di Montalcino. This wine, Lèonus, is a humble but mighty Toscana IGT made from grapes that are in fact grapes cultivated to be Brunello, from vineyards in Montalcino. This wine pairs brilliantly with dishes prepared with tomato sauce and herbs, such as lasagna or pizza.

Villa Calcinaia is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, near the village of Greve-in-Chianti. This Tuscan estate has been home to the Capponi family since 1524. Calcinaia's Chianti Classico is very aromatic and savoury, with bright red fruit and hints of roses, violets and dried leaves. Chianti wines pair excellently with fatty dishes and stands up to tomato sauce dishes, such as pizza and pasta!

Ophir Bridge is the secondary label from McArthur Ridge in Central Otago’s Alexandra Valley, a region shaped by old vines rooted in the late 1800s and nourished by pure glacial-fed water. Planted across gentle northern slopes on an elevated plateau, the vines flourish in the warmth of the Central Otago sun. Brassknocker soils and pristine waters give the wines a true sense of place, reflecting the region’s distinctive character with elegance and depth.

This wine shows an expressive, refined nose of red cherries, raspberries, and cranberries, lifted by violet florals and a hint of clove spice. Medium-bodied on the palate, it offers soft tannins and well-integrated acidity, with juicy red fruit, subtle oak, and gentle earthy notes. The finish is long and elegant, leaving lingering impressions of fruit and spice.

A fresh, expressive red with aromas of wild strawberries, redcurrants, baking spices, and orange peel, layered with savoury herbs and subtle woodland notes for an earthy, attractive profile. Sourced from the high-elevation Secrest Vineyard, where complex soils and constant breezes encourage slow, even ripening at lower sugar levels, this site naturally yields more delicate, finely detailed wines. Full sun exposure and airflow help minimize disease pressure, supporting low-intervention, sustainable farming.

Fermented with 50% whole bunches and matured with just 10% new oak, it shows  beautifully judged balance of spice, florals, and pure red fruit. The palate is fleshy yet refined, combining elegance and precision with vibrant fruit and fine structure. A Pinot of notable finesse, offering both immediate charm and the depth to reward further ageing.
