Robust & Savoury

Villa Calcinaia is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, near the village of Greve-in-Chianti. This Tuscan estate has been home to the Capponi family since 1524. It is now in the hands of 37th-generation Conte Sebastiano Capponi, who has managed the estate since 1992.

Produced from the best blocks of old vines with the sunniest exposition in the estate, near Greve in Chianti. The perfectly ripened, healthy grapes from each block are long fermented and then aged separately for 20 months in French oak 500 litres tonneaux and Slavonian oak 30 hl casks. After the cuvée is made the wine ages for another 4-6 months before its bottling.

The colour of the Riserva is rich ruby, yet the bouquet is mature in its fruit and judicious with its well integrated oak nuances. The taste is soft and velvety on the palate, showing fine structure in harmonious balance with the ripe fruits and uplifting acidity. The after taste is tireless and spicy. 

This is a bottle for important occasions, served alongside rich meat dishes but it will also bring much added enjoyment during conversations with fellow revellers!

Mineral & Zesty

Lighthall Vineyards is a small, proud, low volume and high quality winery located in enchanting Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. All their wines are produced in a non-interventionist manner and fuelled by passion as hearty as our vines. They also make cheese, designed to pair with their wines.

As typically found in County Chardonnay, this wine starts with aromas of flinty
minerality, Asian pear, and salted caramel. A round palate is filled with flavours of golden delicious apple, baking spices, and a hint of lemon. Put together, it’s like an apple crumble before it’s been baked! The smooth texture and long finish leave you satiating for more.

Our Phillipston Road (Manchego-style) cheese is literally made for this wine. Rich, salty, and nutty, it makes a perfect match. Coquilles St. Jaques, Oysters Rockefeller, halibut, spaghetti cacio e pepe, zucchini ravioli with grated lemon zest, butter poached cod, and chicken with a cream sauce are all wonderful pairings.

The wine stays in new oak barrels for three and a half years of maturing before being brought on the market. Its refinement, the exquisite perfection of its balance and its power do not have an equivalent.

Volcanic & Floral

A breakout star in the Etna DOC of Sicily, Tornatore has become one of the region's largest and most respected wineries. Established back in 1865, the estate continues to be run by the same family who have acted as the faithful custodians of the land for generations. Tending to high altitude vineyards on the north side of the active volcano, the conditions are ideal for indigenous grape varieties to thrive. The wines are distinctive bottlings which encapsulate the essence of Mount Etna and effortlessly reveal the unique characteristics that make the region one to watch.

The wine has enticing floral scents of spring blossoms and Spanish broom that mingle with summer orchard fruit and wet stone. The tangy, savoury palate boasts finesse and mineral tension, delivering juicy Meyer lemon, creamy pear, yellow apple and saline before a white pepper finish. Fresh acidity brightens the rich flavours.

This is perfect with young and medium-aged cheeses, poultry and fish. 

Complex & Silky

Château de La Chaize is among the oldest, most historic estates in Burgundy’s Beaujolais region. Cared for by the same family for nearly three and a half centuries, the estate has been passed on to new owners, the Gruy family, who are equally committed to managing the estate with the utmost care, while implementing an ambitious environmental plan.

Pale yellow colour with golden reflections, the nose opens on notes of citrus fruits and pear, with a delicate hint of acacia blossom enriching the aromatic palette. Expect a clean and balanced palate, reflecting the generosity of a sunny vintage with a pleasant volume and a delicate, mouth-watering finish.

Chill and serve with shellfish, white fish, or soft goat cheese.

The Schild Family have been grape growers in the Barossa Valley since 1952. Growing the estate from one vineyard to over 134ha across 11 precious sites, their generational wisdom and knowledge of the land allows for premium fruit to flourish each vintage. Their Estate Wine label was created as a small side project and quickly grew in reputation and is now loved worldwide.

This Chardonnay grown from old vines opens with aromas of citrus, green apple, and delicate white peach, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and oak. The medium-bodied palate offers flavours of lemon and pear with a touch of creaminess, balanced by bright acidity and a gentle oak influence. The finish is crisp and refreshing, with lingering notes of citrus and a subtle hint of nuttiness.

Calcinaia's Chianti Classico is very aromatic and savoury, with bright red fruit and hints of roses, violets and dried leaves. On the palate it is supple and dry, with round fruit flavours, refreshing acidity and well integrated tannins. 

Chianti wines pair excellently with fatty dishes and stands up to tomato sauce dishes, such as pizza and pasta! It also pairs terrifically with rich pieces of meat: from cured meat boards to the regional classic bistecca alla Fiorentina.

Ca del Monte is situated on the hillsides overlooking the village of Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella. This Ripasso shows a pure red-berry and black-cherry bouquet with notes of grilled herbs, iris, violet and almond. With a great depth of flavour, the wine is silky and warm with a surprisingly elegant mid-weight mouth feel that finishes with plump fruit and a well integrated spicy/oak kiss. 

Pair this rich wine with game meats, roast chicken, wood oven pizza and pasta with full flavoured sauces. It is also amazing when served with aged cheeses.

Red | Barbera

The vineyards of the estate are spread over 31 hectares, and are all located in Costigliole d'Asti. The clusters of Barbera were hand-harvested and unveil a rather aromatic wine with a crunchy fruitiness. The wine evokes blackberry and cherry on a delicately floral background. Balanced and delectable, there is even a subtle note of minerality.

A wine that will pair perfectly with white and red grilled meats, salami and young cheeses.

Mineral & Spicy

Robert, whose family is originally from Hungary, was born in Canada and grew up on a farm. After some years working as an architect, he found his passion in winemaking, and relocated to his grandparent's country to start a winery.

Furmint is the historic grape of the region and this example shows its true strength. Alongside the lemon and lime rind nose, the palate is led by a lean minerality and exciting flavours that come from the various organically farmed vineyards across Szent György-hegy. The grapes are gently pressed, spontaneously fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months. It has a complex character and long aging potential. 

Furmint complements herb-crusted poultry or fish. You can also try it with delicate Asian dishes like sushi or dumplings.

Keint-he Winery & Vineyards is a boutique winery located in Prince Edward County. The winery has a strong focus on varietals that are typically grown in Burgundy, specifically Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; through which they truly express the best of the County with wonderful individual expressions. Keint-He’s approach to winemaking is as down-to-earth as it gets and their quality is second to none.

A strong ruby colour in the center of the glass. This shifts to brick on the edges. Vibrant throughout. The nose shows intense sour cherry, raspberry crumble and subtle notes of cedar forest. Soft tannin, cherry, black currant and hints of mushroom, work in concert with one another on the plate.

The high natural acidity and subtle tannins in this specific Prince Edward County Pinot Noir allow it to effortlessly cut through creamy or savoury textures without overpowering delicate flavours.

Proudly family owned, the Borthwick vineyard is an established vineyard situated in Gladstone, the heart of the Wairarapa. Producing quality wine for over a decade, Paddy, an experienced wine maker, has gained a reputation for producing consistently great wines. The twenty seven hectares of vines bordering the Ruamahunga River are growing on stony, free draining, alluvial soils, with a micro climate giving warm daily temperatures, cool nights and low rainfall; perfect conditions for producing distinctive, quality wines

A relatively recent addition to the Borthwick Estate vineyard, Pinot Gris was planted in the Spring of 2006 and 2007. The outstanding 2025 growing season, marked by a long, dry summer, allowed the fruit to ripen fully before harvest, resulting in exceptional concentration, balance, and vibrant flavour throughout the winery's white wines.

Fragrant aromas of ripe apricot, nectarine, and green pear lead into a generous palate with subtle, well-integrated oak adding texture and depth. The finish is dry and crisp, with lingering notes of gentle baking spice that bring freshness and balance.

Since 2009, when the winery was founded, Fabio Motta has followed a clear and consistent winemaking philosophy shaped by his experience working alongside the renowned Bolgheri winemaker Michele Satta. Each wine reflects a personal vision that remains deeply faithful to both the land and the vintage, while never repeating itself from year to year. This approach has remained unchanged even following Fabio Motta’s integration into the Agricole Gussalli Beretta group, reinforcing his belief that wine is inseparable from both the individual who crafts it and the vineyard from which it originates—together defining the value, personality, and uniqueness of every bottle.
Each label is the result of careful, deliberate choices aimed at expressing the character of the Bolgheri terroir through respectful, precise, and timely work in both the vineyard and cellar. Bolgheri Superiore Le Gonnare was created to express the outstanding quality and distinctive character of its namesake vineyard, crafted exclusively from the estate’s finest grapes. Sourced from the highest vineyard site, with its cooler exposure and significant clay content in the soils, the wine benefits from an exceptional balance of altitude, aspect, and terroir that allows for a slow, complete phenolic ripening of the Merlot, shaping its refined structure and palate definition. An intense and precise bouquet opens with aromas of violet and red rose, layered with blackberry, black cherry, and plum, followed by subtle hints of apricot and myrtle berries. A traditional method blanc de blanc, Revelation spent 10 years sur lies. The result is a wine of incredible depth, with rich toasty aromas backed by preserved lemon citrus and citrus curd character. Only one cage was made, making this exceptional wine also a bona fide rarity.

Full and round with a core of acidity, this Chardonnay shows what can be done with this variety in Niagara. The nose highlights lemon curd and mandarin orange that is rounded by hazelnut and soft baking spices. The palate follows the direction of the nose with the lemon curd morphing into lemon meringue pie, and a strong wet stone/mineral base. This wine will age well over the next 8+ years. Drink with roasted turkey, hazelnut crusted halibut, and soft white cheeses. Cheers!

Creamy & Zesty

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

A warm spring and warm summer lead to an uneven and wet fall, however good viticulture and good terroir still allowed these grapes to develop complex aromatics and structure without losing acidity or freshness. The blocks of two different Chardonnay clones: clone 76 and clone 96, were hand picked on October 17th. The clones were kept separate throughout pressing and oak aging. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and allowed to settle for a couple of days before being put into barrel for spontaneous fermentation. Once fermentations were completed, the wine remained in French oak barriques on lees for 15 months. This wine was skillfully blended with the perfect percentage of each clone to truly showcase this vintage, (63% clone 76 and 37% clone 96). We bottled this wine in June of 2023. 

Earthy & Peppery

Those looking for brooding dark fruit, eucalyptus, and pure pleasure in their red wine – look no further. This Cabernet Franc brings an intensity reminiscent of black cherry twizzler, menthol, cola, and blackberry panna cotta. Tannic yet easy drinking, this wine is fantastic with roasted chicken, venison, and rack of lamb.

Roast chicken with vincotto, charcuterie (especially paté and terrines), game meats (peking duck, roasted quail, pheasant), grilled lamb, venison, beef kofta, and shawarma are all delightful protein choices. Mild blue cheese, crottin (or Lighthall’s own Milford Reef), ratatouille, gratin dauphinois, and hearty soups with beans make good options for those seeking lighter fare.

Spicy & Earthy

The depth of this wine was structured by the warm, but not hot summer and autumn. Leaning Post believes this is the best Gamay they have made to date! The terroir of Oppenlander Vineyard really shines through, with loads of garrigue, spice and leather, with intense blackberry, cherry and pepper on the nose. The mouth is complimentary showing mulberry, pomegranate, lilac, smoked sausage and fennel seed. The finish is fantastically long and smooth. 

Try with brie, camembert, your favourite burger, or anything on your plate during a cozy night.

Creamy & Mineral

The “Geekiness” continues to rise in this wine. An experiment in lees aging, this Riesling ages 22 months on all the lees collected from all the white wine fermentations since vintage 2014.   Reductive notes of flint and mineral frame all the beautiful stone fruit and classic Riesling notes.   It has a wonderfully rich and creamy texture balanced by a distinct freshness. It is practically immortal and should age beautifully for the next decade and well beyond.
