Mineral & Zesty

Pearce Predhomme is a collaboration between Nicholas Pearce and Will Predhomme focusing on terroir driven wines from old vine vineyards in Stellenbosch, SA & Willamette Valley, US. This Pinot Gris is made from vines planted in Willamette Valley AVA, Oregon.

Brilliant straw colour with youthful yet intense aromas of white peach, stone fruit, green apple and citrus. Bright acidity and freshness on the palate with a round mouthfeel but it stays surprisingly refreshing. Distinctly Oregonian; a clean, fresh style of Pinot Gris.

This Pinot Gris is zesty and fresh, and pairs amazingly with sushi, ceviche and even richer meals like fish and chips! It is also beautiful with white meats, such as chicken and turkey.

89 points - John Szabo, MS

Shy on the nose, this pinot gris picks up interest on the palate, also broadens its appeal with a vague sensation of sweetness to accompany the stone fruit flavours, Golden Delicious apple, cherry stone and similar. There's palpable phenolics providing some grip, and length and depth are solid. Well-made, balanced, a year or so away from prime. Tasted March 2025.

89 points - Michael Godel

Soda entry for the ’23 pinot gris, neutral of fruit and briny oyster shell salty. Closed for now, yet to express its nature and intentions. Sharper and more perceived tang on the expressive palate, metallic at points and fairly intense. You need to take a few sips to accumulate and develop the feeling of its gris-ness because this is the sort of wine that builds as it goes. Finishes stronger and more definitive that it had at the first. Drink 2025-2027. Tasted March 2025.
