Lighthall Vineyards is a small, proud, low volume and high quality winery located in enchanting Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. All their wines are produced in a non-interventionist manner and fuelled by passion as hearty as our vines. They also make cheese, designed to pair with their wines.

It begins with a sparkle of salted lemon and an aroma reminiscent of the beautiful land on which it is grown - County limestone shale. The velvety shortbread and macadamia nut flavours on the palate are derived from its Traditional Method style, aging 2 years on lees in this very bottle. Santé!

Mineral & Spicy

Robert, whose family is originally from Hungary, was born in Canada and grew up on a farm. After some years working as an architect, he found his passion in winemaking, and relocated to his grandparent's country to start a winery.

Furmint is the historic grape of the region and this example shows its true strength. Alongside the white-fleshed fruit, the palate is also led by the intense spiciness and exciting flavours that come from the stony soil of the Váradi vineyard, and the Kádár barrels that were used for ageing it in. It has a complex character and long aging potential. A mineral wine with rich flavours and fresh acidity.

Furmint complements herb-crusted poultry or fish. You can also try it with delicate Asian dishes like sushi or dumplings.

Toasty & Citrusy

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara. The Chardonnay in this wine comes from a beautiful old vines (35+ years old) block, while the Pinot Noir is from a younger block on the same property in Beamsville Bench.

If you can imagine dipping a freshly baked lemon/herb croissant into a cloud then you have some idea of how this wine tastes! The toasty/biscuity and lemon-curd aspect leaps immediately out of the glass, with a background of crème-fraiche and flowers. The palate is full and round, with a very fine mousse showing fresh-baked bread, lemon meringue, roasted almond and unicorn-dust. The terroir and old-vines really come through on the finish with an amazing mineral/flinty core and very present acidity.

Enjoy now, but this wine will age gracefully over the next 8+ years if you want it to. Drink with fresh Malpeque oysters, hazelnut crusted halibut, and soft white cheeses.

Floral & Delicate

The density, body, structure and balance of this wine is unparalleled. The nose shows beautiful sugar beet, bing cherry, rose petals and mushroom with a background of tarragon and basil and hints of peppery intensity. The palate follows the nose while adding mulberry, tobacco, and fresh-turned-earth and fallen leaves. A medium-full bodied wine with lots of fresh, young fruit and balanced acidity and tannin make this a wine that will age gracefully for at least 10 years.

Welcome to the world of Invivo X, an exciting wine collaboration between Sarah Jessica Parker and the innovative New Zealand beverage company Invivo. The 2024 vintage marks the sixth blend created by SJP and Invivo co-founders Tim and Rob, celebrated at the iconic Citi Field stadium. Crafted to reflect the flavour profile SJP enjoys herself and loves to share with friends, you too are invited to discover and fall in love with it from the very first sip! 

The 2024 X blend opens with an intensely focused nose of freshly cut lime and ripe cantaloupe. On the palate, the wine carries the weight and richness of rock melon while maintaining the bright, balanced acidity of lime. Subtle hints of passion fruit and pineapple add layers of complexity, and a vibrant, ethereal minerality runs through the fruit-saturated palate, giving the wine energy and elegance from start to finish.

SJP’s fave food matches for this wine include Chinese food, casseroles, cheeses and casual, lighter fare like pizza or fries.

In 2013, husband & wife team Chris and Andrea Mullineux partnered with Analjit Singh (BAS) to establish Leeu Passant winery on the beautiful Leeu Estates in Franschhoek. The winery is dedicated to showcasing the South African landscape and climate, with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and community upliftment. By working with some of the Cape’s oldest and most exceptional vineyards, they honour the country’s rich winemaking and viticultural heritage.

Sourced from a historic parcel of dry-farmed bush vine Cinsault planted in 1900, rooted in deep sandy alluvial soils in Wellington. Recognized as South Africa’s oldest registered red wine vineyard, it continues to produce fruit of remarkable character and heritage.

This aromatic wine opens with an alluring, complex bouquet of roses, cranberries, cherries, warm spice, and a whisper of thyme. The palate is fresh and silky, layered with notes of orange peel, rhubarb, maraschino cherry, pink peppercorn, and clove. Fine tannins provide elegant structure, carrying the flavours through to a refined finish.

Rooted in Mediterranean culture and cuisine, The name “Mesta” honours a powerful medieval alliance of shepherds who governed the cañadas; historic migratory routes for sheep that remain protected to this day. A juicy, unoaked red that showcases the purity and character of high-altitude Tempranillo. Bright ruby in colour, it offers expressive, well-defined aromas of red berries, rosemary, and a hint of liquorice. The palate is fresh and persistent, with a round texture and a clean, satisfyingly dry finish. Medium-bodied and highly versatile, this is an ideal food wine - perfect with tapas, grilled meats, pasta dishes and much, much more!

In 2010, Joana and António founded Maçanita Vinhos after an invitation from a local Douro family who had read about these playful and ambitious sibling winemakers. Both siblings contribute to Maçanita Vinhos, but the challenging Douro Valley has been Joana’s passion project since the start, and Joana and her children even moved to the Porto area to be closer to the winery and vineyards. Setting down roots in the region has allowed her to focus her famous energy into expanding the rising star that is her Douro career.

Made with a blend of traditional Douro grapes. After a long period of maceration, the fermentation took place, with the help of indigenous yeasts,  in stainless steel vats. Then, the 60% of the batch has been transferred to French oak barrels, where it has stayed in contact with fine lees, for 9 months, and it was subjected to a regular stirring, before being mixed, filtered and bottled.

A unique white that goes well with a variety of soft cheeses. Lightly pungent, with a hint of Epoisses cheese, macadamia nuts and white mushrooms. Supple, subtle and attractively nutty on the palate, with a medium to full body and fresh but creamy acidity. Very composed and long.
