Established in 2005, Domaine de Bellene is dedicated to crafting expressive wines from old vines, guided by a strong commitment to sustainable, organic farming. Under the stewardship of winemaker and proprietor of the late Nicolas Potel, the domaine has focused on producing wines that faithfully reflect both place and vintage, while safeguarding the land and its traditions for future generations. Today, Domaine de Bellene is widely respected among Burgundy enthusiasts for its thoughtful range of wines spanning both celebrated and lesser-known appellations.
Hailing from one of Beaune’s finest Premier Cru sites, nestled mid-slope on the Montagne de Beaune, this Pinot Noir comes from a small parcel planted in 1961. Fermented with 50% whole bunches and matured with just 10% new oak, it shows beautifully judged balance of spice, florals, and pure red fruit. The palate is fleshy yet refined, combining elegance and precision with vibrant fruit and fine structure. A Pinot of notable finesse, offering both immediate charm and the depth to reward further ageing.
