Fresh & Zesty

Zuani is a family-owned winery in the Collio DOC of Friuli Venezia Giulia specializing in terroir-focused white wines. Set in the hills of Giasbana in the far northeastern corner of Italy, the influence of bordering Austria and Solvenia can be felt on the estate and sensed through the style of Zuani's wines.

This Pinot Grigio's elegant and refined aromatic profile shines with a tangy and mineral taste. It's dry, with brilliant acidity and a bitter almond finish.

Bring out the antipasto and a grilled fish for this one! Also pairs well with risottos and baked vegetables.

92 points - David Lawrason

This is a classic, very tidy, firm and expressive pinot grigio with a fairly generous nose of ripe pear, linden blossom and wet stone - more complex than most grigios. It is light to medium bodied with firm almost crisp acidity, stony minerality and a lingering lemon-pear finish. Almost into riesling territory in the best way. The length is excellent. So much more here than than in the basic Italian pinot grigios. Tasted November 2025

90 points - John Szabo, MS

"Sodevo" is Friulan for "satisfied", a reference to wine's ability to satisfy thirst. And Zuani's 2024 pinot grigio completes the mission with a broad, ripe and fleshy but balanced, nicely concentrated example with plenty of ripe yellow orchard fruit flavours and creamy acids. Density and intensity are above the mean, and the finish lingers impressively. Enjoy over the next 2-4 years - this warm vintage does not require extended cellaring. Tasted November 2025.

90 points - Megha Jandhyala, S.J.D., DipWSET.

This is an especially expressive and animated pinot grigio, with vivid and inviting flavours of crunchy orchard fruit and sweet-zesty citrus ones. The palate is medium bodied, alluringly fleshy, with a hint of sweetness and zippy acidity. Texturally appealing and intensely flavourful, with impressive length, this is a well-made, broadly appealing pinot grigio. Tasted November 2025.
