A rising star in the Etna region, Tornatore is becoming one of the region's biggest and most respected wineries. Their vineyards are located at an altitude of 1,000 metersabove sea level on the north side of this active volcano. The Pietrarizzo district is considered by the locals to be one of the finest crus.
The wine has enticing floral scents of spring blossoms and Spanish broom that mingle with summer orchard fruit and wet stone. The tangy, savory palate boasts finesse and mineral tension, delivering juicy Meyer lemon, creamy pear, yellow apple and saline before a white pepper finish. Fresh acidity brightens the rich flavours.
This is perfect with young and medium-aged cheeses, poultry and fish.
