Founded in 1974 by Valentino Migliorini, a Michelin-starred restaurateur with a visionary approach to winemaking, Rocche dei Manzoni quickly became a pioneer in the Langhe. Valentino introduced groundbreaking innovations such as the first Nebbiolo-Barbera blend (Bricco Manzoni), the use of small oak barrels, and traditional method sparkling wines—well ahead of his time. Today, under the direction of his son Rodolfo, the estate continues its legacy of experimentation and precision, producing acclaimed Barolo, innovative blends, and sparkling wines that showcase both tradition and forward-thinking spirit.
Sourced from several south-facing, estate-owned vineyards in Monforte d’Alba cultivated with Nebbiolo and Barbera. The calcareous-sandy soil yields wines with great structure and exceptional roundness.
Deep garnet red in colour, opening with layered aromas of ripe wild berries, licorice, subtle oak spice, and hints of balsamic herbs. The palate follows through seamlessly, combining rich, ripe fruit with finely woven tannins and balanced acidity. Focused and structured, it shows impressive precision, firm drive, and a long, refined finish.
