Mas Carlot is situated in the south of the Rhône Valley, extending across 76 hectares of pebbly land southeast of Nîmes.

This special cuvée was inspired by the spirit of the winemaker's children, Blanche, Eugène, Olympe and Achille. This blend of old vine Mourvèdre (80%) and Syrah (20%) was aged for twelve months in oak barrels. Like the children, the charm of this wine is found in its complexity. Aromas of truffle, tobacco leaves, blackberry and blueberry with a touch of cherry on the palate. 

Think about pairing this wine with rich, hearty dishes or roasted meats and vegetables.

This appellation on the right bank of the Rhone near its mouth on the Mediterranean is known for deeply coloured, sturdy reds based on syrah and mourvedre. The nose is a bit pinched but shows black cherry and blackberry fruit, with licorice, violet, pepper and meaty notes. It is full bodied, quite dense and firm with tight tannic grip and some warmth (14%abv). Dried fruit/black olive character comes to the finish. The length is excellent. This needs some cellar time, best about 2030. Tasted August 2026
