Floral & Delicate
Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.
2017 is the third vintage of Leaning Post's flagship Pinot Noir from their estate Senchuk Vineyard, and it's by far the best. The density, body, structure and balance of this wine is unparalleled. The nose shows beautiful sugar beet, bing cherry, rose petals and mushroom with a background of tarragon and basil and hints of peppery intensity. The palate follows the nose while adding mulberry, tobacco, and fresh-turned-earth and fallen leaves. A medium-full bodied wine with lots of fresh, young fruit and balanced acidity and tannin make this a wine that will age gracefully for at least 10 years.
