Founded in 2003 as one of the earliest wineries on the Naramata Bench, JoieFarm has grown from restaurant roots into a celebrated destination, with a tasting room opened in 2015 and the En Famille Wine Club launched in 2020. As both farmers and winemakers, the estate crafts vibrant, approachable wines that pair beautifully with food, balancing West Coast ease with European joie de vivre. Community remains central, honouring the restaurateurs who championed the winery early on, the team who brings the wines to life, and the neighbours and artisans who inspire its work. Overlooking Lake Okanagan and the surrounding mountains, JoieFarm reflects the beauty of its valley and the wonder of this magical place in every bottle.

PTG, short for Passe-Tout-Grains, is a classic yet lesser-known Burgundy style that blends the elegance of Pinot Noir with the spice and richness of Gamay. In the cool, lake-moderated desert climate of south-central British Columbia, these varietals thrive, producing a wine that's lively, focused, and full of energy.

Aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry mingle with violets, dark chocolate, and a hint of blood orange peel, while notes of raspberry leaf, black tea, and dried tobacco add nuance. The palate is vibrant with cherry, currant, blueberry pie, and orange zest, lifted by floral tones of lavender and violets. Bright acidity brings balance and tension, leading to a long, perfumed finish with freshness and depth.

Equally enjoyable on its own or alongside food.

91 Points - Jamie Goode

This is an intriguing blend that's vivid and juicy with a slight grippy edge to the fruit. Grainy and mineral with nice intensity. Has some savouriness.

A Passe Tout Grains style with 56 percent pinot noir and (44) gamay, never serious, always fun. Raspberry and earthy, mulch and sweet red fruit for plenty of interest and even some joy. Well made, needing to be encouraged so that more red blends like these are made. Last tasted blind at NWACs, June 2025.

A vibrant blend of pinot noir and gamay in the Burgundian PTG style, a.k.a. Passe-Tout-Grains. The 2022 is gamay dominant and therefore more grounded with less lift and tart character as compared to the solo pinot noir. This duet plays in a distinct bench-Okanagan style, bass lines the driver and drums echoing the beats. A Sly and Robbie rhythm section, the mighty dub of dubs meets guess who's coming to dinner. Or what, which in this case would preferably be a whole roasted spatchcocked chicken marinated in Mediterranean herbs and spices. Drink 2025-2027. Tasted May 2025.
