Fruity & Floral

Heinrich Winery believes great wines express a true sense of place—something best achieved when vines thrive within a biologically diverse environment where soil vitality and natural symbiosis are preserved. Their ultimate aspiration is to let nature speak through their wines, guided by ethical and qualitative principles that shape every decision.

The Blaufränkisch from Heinrich is an elegant, biodynamic red shaped by the contrasting chalky and sandy terroirs of Lake Neusiedl. It shows juicy berry fruit layered with floral, herbal, and mineral notes, supported by refined tannins and lively acidity. Matured in neutral oak, it’s a balanced, versatile wine with depth, ideal for pairing with hearty, rustic dishes.

Try this wine with braised beef, grilled vegetables, and spicy cheeses.

91 points - John Szabo, MS

The vino-lok glass capsule was slightly askew when the capsule was pulled off this bottle, and it does show less of the typical Heinrich reductive character that dissipates with air, but here it's a positive thing I find, allowing the variety's peppery-spicy and dark and sour cherry fruit side to shine, also some florals, like it had been decanted for a couple of hours. The palate is silky-firm and fluid with fines, zesty acids, and long crunchy black fruit-flavoured finish. Drinking well now, but no rush. Tasted October 2026.
