Domaine de Bellene is the creation of Nicolas Potel – the son of the legendary Gérard Potel of Domaine Pousse d’Or. Potel's name has become synonymous with Burgundian wine and he is known for constantly challenging the borders of traditional winemaking in the region.
A special blend of five premier cru sites in Beaune, dedicated to the memory of Nicolas Potel’s mother. This cuvée was originally introduced in 2014, as Cuvée du Cinquantenaire, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Nicolas’s father, the revered Gérard Potel, who started at Domaine de la Pousse d’Or in 1964. It’s also a tribute to the quality of Beaune wines, showing the beautiful balance of opulence, finesse and length that characterize the best terroirs of this appellation at the epicentre of the Côte d’Or. Expect to find ripe and nicely layered aromas & flavours of black cherry, earth, violet and a hint of lavender.
