Phantom Creek Estates, located on the renowned Black Sage Bench in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, is celebrated for its single-vineyard Bordeaux reds, expressive Alsace-inspired whites, and the region’s signature Viognier and Syrah. Founded by Richter Bai with the acquisition of the famed Becker and Phantom Creek Vineyards in 2016, the estate combines a passion for Bordeaux-style wines with a commitment to excellence. Today, under the guidance of Olivier Humbrecht MW, its vineyards are 100% certified organic and farmed biodynamically. By emphasizing individual vineyards and grape varieties, Phantom Creek Estates crafts wines that capture the unique character of their terroir while showcasing the distinct aromas and flavours of each variety, resulting in wines of remarkable clarity, complexity, and depth—a truly singular tasting experience.

Notorious throughout the Okanagan for its challenges, the 2021 vintage was marked by an exceptionally hot summer, prompting periodic vine shutdowns due to extreme temperatures. Careful selection and early harvesting were essential, yielding smaller berries with intensely ripe flavours and remarkable concentration.

The Estate’s 2021 Cuvée unfolds with a captivating bouquet of forest-inspired aromas, including mushrooms, truffles, and the freshness of wet stones. On the palate, it offers creamy richness accented by crisp bell pepper and cassis, framed by subtle minerality and a hint of leather. The interplay of fruit and finely structured tannins culminates in a long, flavourful finish - a true expression of South Okanagan.

Founded in 2014 around a dining table at Norwood’s Queen Street, C.W. Wines has grown from humble beginnings into one of Australia’s most successful family-owned wine businesses. With a portfolio spanning the Limestone Coast, McLaren Vale, and the Barossa, their vineyards and sourced fruit cover a wide range of beloved varietals, all processed at their state-of-the-art Stonehaven Winery. Originally built by Constellation Brands in the late 90s, the facility was acquired by C.W. Wines in 2021, where a host of distinctive labels, each exceptionally crafted to showcase the diversity of the South's regions and the full breadth of what Aussie wines have to offer.

Thompson Steer draws its name from the winding lakes and gently rolling fields that surround its vineyards in the country town of Mundulla where its grapes are grown. 

The Limestone Coast Cab opens with fragrant aromas of ripe cassis, dark plum, and black cherry, layered with hints of cedar and fresh mint that add a cooling lift. Full-bodied, it features rounded, blossoming tannins and balanced acidity, while the liqueur-like fruit is refined by oak aging, enhancing structure and depth without being overpowering. The finish is long and resonant, with sappy fruit framed by subtle notes of cocoa powder and dried tobacco.

Lubanzi is a socially driven South African wine company founded in 2014, inspired by a backpacking journey along the country’s remote Wild Coast. The brand is named after a wandering dog that accompanied the founders for six days and nearly 100 miles of the trek—an experience that sparked the idea to share South Africa’s culture, landscapes, and wines with a global audience.

Working with respected winemaking partners including Trizanne Barnard and Bruce Jack, Lubanzi produces expressive wines that reflect the country’s diverse terroirs. The company also maintains a strong commitment to social impact, partnering with the Pebbles Project to support health and education initiatives for families living and working on South Africa’s wine farms.

Bursting with charm, this Cinsault Rosé opens with an inviting nose of fresh strawberries and cherries, layered with soft floral tones and a lift of tangerine zest. Bodega Bideona represents a new generation of Rioja wines, defined by the precise origin of their grapes rather than winemaking techniques. Its 282 small vineyard plots, averaging 0.3 hectares and over 50 years old, include vines planted between 1920 and 1960, reflecting a unique cultural and biological heritage. The Bideona Village-Wine range highlights the distinct character of Rioja Alavesa’s wine-growing villages, a nuance often lost during the industrialization of Rioja, when blending and technique overshadowed origin. These wines restore the importance of village identity, allowing each bottle to express the place it comes from.

Leza, a small village at the foot of the Sierra Cantabria mountains, is home to vineyards planted in the first half of the 20th century. Situated at 580–610 meters above sea level, these vines offer a rare varietal and clonal complexity. The wine is structured and slow-ripening, shaped by the influence of altitude and the mountains. It reveals dark fruit flavours with an exotic, almost apothecary-like undertone, combining muscular structure with exceptional freshness and balance.

Cuvée Heritage is the third vintage of our flagship red blend, but the first called Heritage – in homage to Ilya & Nadia’s Ukrainian heritage, and with an intention of building a heritage of tremendous red blends at Leaning Post.

Founded in 2008 by Kiwi friends Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron, Invivo has grown into one of New Zealand's leading wine producers. In 2011, a spontaneous phone call led to a unique partnership with TV host Graham Norton, who not only lends his name to a range of wines but personally blends them and owns shares in the winery. Over the past decade, the collaboration has expanded to include seven wines and four spirits, selling over 18 million bottles globally. With more than 250 awards, it's no surprise that Invivo has become such a worldwide success.

Invivo launched its partnership with Graham Norton in 2014 with a this very Sauvignon Blanc, inspired by his love of the style. The collaboration has since expanded into an award-winning range of wines and spirits enjoyed across ten countries. As an Invivo shareholder, Graham remains actively involved, personally tasting and blending each new vintage with the team.

Leading with freshly cut honeydew melon and bright lemon zest, opening generously in the glass. The palate follows with layered citrus and stone-fruit flavours, accented by a subtle hint of freshly cut bell pepper. Tangy and refreshing all the way to the last sip!

The depth of this wine was structured by the warm, but not hot summer and autumn. Leaning Post believes this is the best Gamay they have made to date! The terroir of Wismer-Armbrust Vineyard really shines through, with loads of garrigue, spice and leather, with intense blackberry, cherry and pepper on the nose. The mouth is complimentary showing mulberry, pomegranate, lilac, smoked sausage and fennel seed. The finish is fantastically long and smooth. 

Try with brie, camembert, your favourite burger, or anything on your plate during a cozy night.

This Merlot is part of Leaning Post's 'Freaks & Geek' collection, their Natural Wines series. The Merlot Vin Nature 2019 is a truly deep and fascinating wine, it reminds us of walking through the pine and mossy dampness of a forest path by a lake in the Canadian Shield on a cool autumn evening, stopping to pick some wild-blueberries and noticing in the background a roaring fire.

Pair this natural Merlot with roasted white meat or sautéed vegetables.   

Creamy & Mineral

The “Geekiness” continues to rise in this wine. An experiment in lees aging, this Riesling ages 22 months on all the lees collected from all the white wine fermentations since vintage 2014.   Reductive notes of flint and mineral frame all the beautiful stone fruit and classic Riesling notes.   It has a wonderfully rich and creamy texture balanced by a distinct freshness. It is practically immortal and should age beautifully for the next decade and well beyond.
