Monterra was founded in 2012 on the basis of an undeniable admiration for almighty Mother Nature, and the desire to bring exceptional wines to Australian tables and beyond.

From the signature sea breezes of McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu Peninsula to the delightfully hidden gem of Kuitpo Forest and the cool charms of the Adelaide Hills – Monterra produce wines that speak wondrously of these unique regions. Working closely in their estate vineyards and with long term growers, they grow grapes that rejoice in the natural conditions of their environs to be the finest example of every vintage.

Classic blackcurrant cassis along with sweet baking spices layered overtop notes of ripe cherries and soft hints of vanilla on the nose and palate. Showing solid weight on the palate and silky tannins with integrated complex flavours lingering into the finish. 

Cab is king along side red meat so try with braised beef short ribs or a juicy tenderloin steak.

The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute for emergencies - like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like!

A vibrant expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine bursts with blackberries, dark fruits, and the richness of ripe compote. Fresh and lively aromatics are centred on cassis, accented by delicate hints of vanilla and a subtle touch of oak. The palate achieves a harmony between lush ripeness and a deeper, more contemplative depth. Its long, well-structured profile highlights cool, dark berry fruits with a refreshing vibrancy, while refined, textural tannins lend a drying finish that leaves an elegant and lasting impression.

For a perfect pairing, consider stewing beef served alongside creamy mashed potatoes.

Sister's Run

Sister’s Run is serious fun. Their talented young winemaker Elena wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like.

Returning from a ‘knees-up’ at midnight, mid vintage, she managed to kick off one high heel and slip back into a boot’ just as the cellar crew cried out, ‘Run Sister Run’; and exactly then their winemaker and label took flight!

The stiletto and boot are Sister’s Run; an independently owned and operated winery with a fierce commitment to making the best wines they can from family vineyards. They don’t take ourselves as seriously as we take our wines, but agree with Elena, all you need to know about wine is the five ‘V’s and remember the best wine is the wine you like.

Marie Antoinette is a striking reinterpretation of the Corbières AOP. This organic red opens with an inviting bouquet of toasted notes and fresh red berries. On the palate, ripe plum and subtle peppermint mingle with a touch of spice, while firm yet balanced tannins support a smooth, structured texture and a gentle menthol tension. A distinctive and memorable wine, it elegantly balances tradition and modernity without compromise.

Welcome to the intimate world of Quevedo, a small, family-owned winery where quality is a treasured tradition. The Quevedo family's viticultural heritage spans over five generations, beginning with Abel Gouveia Costa, who planted the first vines in 1889. Through the years, the family diligently expanded their vineyards, culminating in the 1970s when Oscar and Beatriz Quevedo modernized their facilities and established the Quevedo winery in 1993. Today, Quevedo oversees 100 hectares of vineyards and 25 hectares of organic olive groves, with current proprietors Cláudia and Oscar Quevedo Jr. continuing the legacy of crafting exceptional wines.

The nose is immediately inviting, offering exotic aromas of pineapple, ripe apple, and spring honey, lifted by a delicate floral nuance. On the palate, it strikes a beautifully fresh yet generous profile, perfectly balanced between richness and vibrancy. Layers of orange zest, honey, and lychee unfold with impressive complexity, leading to a long, elegant finish defined by pure, lingering honey and a subtle hint of white pepper.

Shaped by the sun soaked days and cool nights of Ucles in north-central Castile and made exclusively from noble Spanish varieties from high-altitude, organic vineyards. Rooted in Mediterranean culture and cuisine, The name “Mesta” honours a powerful medieval alliance of shepherds who governed the cañadas; historic migratory routes for sheep that remain protected to this day. In this timeless landscape, Mesta's vineyards flourish alongside ancient paths, still traversed by flocks each year. This longstanding harmony serves as a powerful symbol of enduring traditions and the natural balance between agriculture and the wild.

A juicy, unoaked red that showcases the purity and character of high-altitude Tempranillo. Bright ruby in colour, it offers expressive, well-defined aromas of red berries, rosemary, and a hint of liquorice.
