Lighthall Vineyards is a small, proud, low volume and high quality winery located in enchanting Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. Cool-climate Merlot at its best. This wine is loaded with all things blue and moody: damson plums, violet, fig, blue-acai, and chocolate-covered blueberry. Rich oak tones of vanilla, chocolate, and marshmallow balance out the fruit intensity and leave a long yet distinguished finish.

Fatty, high protein foods are recommended to bind with the high tannin and balance the acidity. Roasted leg of lamb with Saskatoon berry compote, coffee-rubbed steak, seared duck breast, creole jambalaya, pork loin with roasted plums, and blue cheeses all go
great.

Domaine Charly Nicolle was created with less than one hectare in 1979 by Robert Nicolle and Josette Laroche, who can both trace their winemaking heritage in Fleys back to the late 19th century. Since the creation of the Domaine, they have increased the size of their vineyards bit by bit, and today the Domaine produces wine from 20 hectares of vines. In 1999, they were joined by their son Charly, who had just graduated from the lycée viticole. Charly is now officially in charge of the Domaine, together with his wife Lucie, but Robert is still out in the vines nearly every day. The largest holdings of the Domaine are in AOC Chablis, located mostly around the family's beloved village of Fleys.

"Ante MCMLXXX" means "before 1980," referring to old vines planted between 1965 and 1975. This cuvée offers notable depth, displaying a light golden hue when poured. Its rich aromatic profile is elevated by subtle notes of herbs and struck rock, supported by a soft texture and a well-balanced streak of acidity. Mineral nuances peak through layers of citrus rind, culminating in a long and memorable finish. 

A great companion for white wine poached fish with cream sauce.

Earthy & Peppery

A cooler vintage brings freshness to one of the county’s best varieties. Strawberry, red currant, candied cherry, and a savoury garrigue all burst from the glass. Tones of sumac, cedar, bittersweet chocolate and cinnamon bark bring a discerning finish to this elegant grape. The classic pairing of seared duck breast and mushroom risotto are a must-have.

Classically, a pan seared or confit duck breast with black pepper and wild mushroom risotto is delightful. We also recommend blue cheeses, gruyere, taleggio, jollof with smoked mackerel, grilled pork butt chop with a sumac compote, black truffles, miso chicken, grilled salmon, or tuna sashimi.

Mineral & Zesty

This, Lighthall's first edition of concrete aged Chardonnay, paints the clearest image yet of county terroir. Clear and authentic, the nose is brimming with honeyed apple, lemon yogurt, salted oyster shell, and beeswax. The flavours continue in the palate, but the star of the show is the opulent, luscious, yet elegant mouthfeel that lingers with finesse.

A brilliant seafood wine, this is a knockout with oysters, halibut, butter-poached cod,
lobster, crab, and scallops. Lemon chicken, rabbit, and quail are good meat options, while grilled asparagus, hummus, creamy orzo, and tofu souvlaki make delightful vegetarian picks. Rich, creamy, and mild cheeses are well balanced by the bright acidity and round texture.

Earthy & Silky

The Baud estate dates back to 1742, today the 9th generation manages the winery. Siblings Clementine and Bastien, both under 30, are making some of the best value wines in the area. Jura is that narrow valley in the remote hills between Burgundy and Switzerland, which millions of years ago was covered by an Ocean and today still bares many of the fossils from that time. If you kick a stone in a Jura vineyard, it will probably be a fossil.

Trousseau is by far the rarest grape variety in the Jura, planted in less than 8% of the total Jura vineyard, it has a biological relationship with the white grape Savagnin, being originally from this magical region. The vineyards are planted on rich red marl and gravel soils, along the Cotes du Jura appellation. On the nose, it has aromas of red fruits and leather, with a hint of sub-bois. Tannins are soft and silky, and the palate is very well-balanced.

Enjoy it on its own, or pair it with red meats such as game and venison.

Spicy & Tropical

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

“Orange” wine (skin-fermented white) is an ancient technique for making wine and we continue to explore its potential. Harvested on September 30, 2022, the grapes were destemmed, into concrete tanks where it went through a spontaneous fermentation. It remained in concrete and aged on skins for 25 days, then it was gently pressed into clay amphora (35%) and stainless steel (65%) for aging. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphite additions.

This Clockwork opens with vibrant aromas of elderflower honey, mandarin oranges, lemon curd, sweet Thai basil, and lemongrass. On the palate, it mirrors these notes while adding layers of honey, cream, and lemon, all carried by a rich, oily texture. A bright acidity, fine tannins, and a beautiful texture shape a dynamic finish that evolves as the wine warms. It pairs exceptionally well with briny or grilled seafood, such as oysters.

Fresh & Juicy

Fabio Motta, originally from Lombardia, began his adventure as a winemaker in Bolgheri in 2010 when he was thirty years old. However, he first came to the area 10 years earlier when he ventured into the vineyards to take part in the grape harvest as a student of agronomy.
It was love at first sight in more ways than one; he fell in love with the territory and met his future wife, Benedetta Satta, daughter of Michele Satta, a vintner who has been part of Bolgheri’s history and progress over the years.

This Bolgheri blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Sangiovese, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 12 months in cement. Fabio Motta describes it as the wine that launched his winemaking journey, expressing everything he loves about Bolgheri: clear, juicy fruit, harmony, and effortless drinkability. Merlot brings softness and volume, Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure, while the Sangiovese contributes freshness and complexity. Lighter and fresher than expected for the region, it shows silky tannins and aromas of cooked cherry, blackberry jam, mint, and rosemary.

Pair with typical Italian fare - Le Pievi shines next to pizza, light meats and pasta.

Sourced from three vineyard areas across the Okanagan Valley, this cuvée opens with lifted floral and fruit-driven aromas before unfolding into a vibrant palate of cherry and blood orange, accented by notes of wild fennel and candy-cane beet. Juicy and bright on the entry, it’s beautifully balanced by fresh acidity and a gentle tannin structure. An intentionally pretty, easygoing style of Pinot Noir, crafted to be enjoyed now.

A fresh, expressive red with aromas of wild strawberries, redcurrants, baking spices, and orange peel, layered with savoury herbs and subtle woodland notes for an earthy, attractive profile. Full-bodied with sleek tannins lending a creamy texture, balanced by bright acidity, tart red fruits, and saline mineral undertones. The finish reveals a cooling hint of lavender alongside echoes of sweet and savoury spice. A beautiful expression of the vintage, with the structure and finesse to develop gracefully over the next five to ten years.

Ophir Bridge is the secondary label from McArthur Ridge in Central Otago’s Alexandra Valley, a region shaped by old vines rooted in the late 1800s and nourished by pure glacial-fed water. Planted across gentle northern slopes on an elevated plateau, the vines flourish in the warmth of the Central Otago sun. Brassknocker soils and pristine waters give the wines a true sense of place, reflecting the region’s distinctive character with elegance and depth.

This wine shows an expressive, refined nose of red cherries, raspberries, and cranberries, lifted by violet florals and a hint of clove spice. Medium-bodied on the palate, it offers soft tannins and well-integrated acidity, with juicy red fruit, subtle oak, and gentle earthy notes. The finish is long and elegant, leaving lingering impressions of fruit and spice.

Sourced from the high-elevation Secrest Vineyard, where complex soils and constant breezes encourage slow, even ripening at lower sugar levels, this site naturally yields more delicate, finely detailed wines. Full sun exposure and airflow help minimize disease pressure, supporting low-intervention, sustainable farming.

In the glass, the wine opens with elegant aromas of cherry licorice, dried rose petals, blood orange, and pine mushroom. The palate is silky and precise, framed by chalky tannins and bright acidity that lend lift and clarity.
