Sister’s Run is a bold, value-driven Australian wine brand founded by acclaimed winemaker Elena Brooks, whose nearly 30 vintages of global experience span celebrated projects including Dandelion Vineyards, Heirloom Vineyards, and Cien Y Pico in Spain. Crafting expressive, site-driven wines from regions such as Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, and Coonawarra, Elena has built an international reputation in a traditionally male-dominated industry while championing collaboration, mentorship, and greater inclusivity in wine. True to its playful motto — “for the boots worn in the vineyard and the heels worn to wine award dinners” — Sister’s Run balances approachability with serious craftsmanship, delivering regionally expressive wines with fine wine character at exceptional value.

Notes of black cherries dipped in milk chocolate kick things off on the nose followed by hints of violet florals and sweet clove spices from tempered oak. An underlying herbal streak underscores the sweet aromatics, adding a savoury, almost minty edge beneath the fruit. Smooth tannins provide a rounded grip on the palate and are wrapped up by flavours of warm stewed plums with a touch of Pastis. Hallmark notes of cracked black pepper cascade into the rich finish. The balance between ripe fruit and tannin, along with underlying acidity, makes this big red incredibly drinkable.

Raised amidst the vineyards, Alexandre Favier is part of a long line of winemakers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. His grandfather, Noël Sabon, hails from one of the region’s most renowned winemaking families. Alexandre began his viticultural studies at the age of fifteen in Orange, completing his exams by 2001. Just a year later, at the age of twenty, he assumed full winemaking responsibilities at Domaine Chante Cigale when his father’s health declined. Today, Domaine Chante Cigale stands as one of the most important family estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

The Cicada Blanc is an unusual yet harmonious blend of Grenache Blanc (40%), Viognier (30%), and Picpoul Blanc (30%). The Grenache Blanc and Picpoul are sourced from clay-limestone soils in Richerenches, Vaucluse, while the Viognier comes from the Northern Rhône. Vinified in stainless steel with a short one-week maceration, the result is an easy-drinking, unoaked French table wine with citrus and pear aromas, a soft, rounded palate, and a silky mineral finish.

Savour this delicious wine with Coconut flavoured Thai and Vietnamese dishes, or as a delicious foil to barbecued or grilled mackerel.

In 2010, brother & sister duo Joana and António founded Maçanita Vinhos following an invitation from a local Douro family who had been inspired by the ambition and creativity of the sibling winemakers. While both contribute to the winery, the challenging Douro Valley has been Joana’s personal passion from the start. She even relocated with her children to the Porto area to be closer to the vineyards, allowing her to focus her renowned energy on growing her Douro career and nurturing Maçanita’s rising profile.

Os Canivéis Tinto hails from a collection of parcels in Carlão, Cima Corgo, with vineyards aged 80–92 years at 510 meters. Crafted from a blend of 11 traditional grape varieties, it reveals aromas of fresh fruit and dark chocolate. The palate is creamy on entry, framed by firm, enduring tannins and an elegant structure. With very limited production, Os Canivéis stands as a true Douro gem, showcasing the region’s artisanal winemaking traditions and meticulous attention to detail.

Pairs beautifully with dark meats, Asian cuisine, and spicy cheeses.

Heirloom Vineyards was founded in 2000 by Elena, a young winemaking student, and Zar, an eccentric wine judge, whose shared passion for wine—and their ensuing love story—became the foundation of the project. Through years of careful experimentation, they focused on cultivating the finest varietal clones under optimal conditions, guided by organic farming principles and a commitment to preserving old-world traditions for future generations. Today, Heirloom crafts wines from select South Australian vineyards, employing minimal intervention, highlighting provenance, purity of fruit, and expert winemaking to deliver benchmark-quality wines that offer exceptional value.

Sourced from hand-tended, old-vine Shiraz grown in the neighbouring vineyards of the McMurtrie Family in McLaren Vale, this wine opens with a layered bouquet of shaved white and liqueur chocolate, fresh herbs, fennel, and anise, complemented by ripe plums, dried fruits, and a symphony of freshly ground peppercorns—green, black, pink, and white. Subtle oak notes, reminiscent of molasses, linger in the background. On the palate, it begins velvet-like, then unfolds with a lush, plush texture and finely grained tannins. A long loop of flavours—from red and black currant to raisin, black olive, and tawny port—culminates in a dry, peppery, and savoury finish, delivering a full-bodied, mouth-filling, and enduring experience.

The Old Testament vineyard is located in the heart of the Coonawarra. The resulting wine produced suggests ripe mulberry and blueberry aromatics with gentle notes of  shaved pencil and menthol on the nose. Soft red berry fruits begin to unfold on the palate, finishing with a spiced-liqueur like quality, carried by velvety tannins and perfectly judged acidity.

The Cortonesi family has been a cornerstone of the Montalcino region for decades. Established in the 1970s, their estate spans 138 acres in one of the area's most storied regions, with 19 acres dedicated to producing world-class Brunello. The family began commercially selling their wine in 1985, and today, third-generation winemaker Tommaso Cortonesi continues the tradition. Tommaso combines his long-standing family traditions with modern technologies to craft some of the finest expressions of Tuscan Sangiovese. 

Abundant in character, the Cortonesi Brunello di Montalcino La Mannella Riserva beautifully reflects the warm, sunny, and luminous 2019 growing season. Layers of dark plum, black cherry, and cassis are complemented by notes of sweet spice, tobacco, and balsamic herbs. Rich and generous yet remarkably focused, the palate balances concentration with freshness and precision. Firm, youthful tannins provide excellent structure and promise outstanding aging potential.

Located at the southern end of the Barossa Valley, Lou Miranda Estate is a family-run boutique winery rooted in Italian heritage and hospitality. Founded by Lou Miranda and now led by his daughters Lisa, Angela, and Victoria, the estate carries forward a legacy that began with their grandfather who immigrated to Australia from southern Italy in the late 30's with a passion for good wine and family. Today, the Mirandas produce all their wines from 100 acres of estate-owned vineyards spread across four sites within eight kilometres of the winery — including four treasured centenarian vine blocks, the oldest planted in 1897. From vineyard to bottle, their philosophy remains simple: great food and wine are meant to be shared.

Named in honour of the vineyard's golden autumn vines as they prepare for a new season of growth, the Gold Lion collection celebrates both the family's enduring winemaking heritage and the natural cycle that shapes each vintage.

Aromas of ripe dark berries, plum, and warm spice are complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and toasted oak. The generous, medium- to full-bodied palate layers rich dark fruit, chocolate, brown spice, and vanilla, with integrated tannins and a touch of sweetness adding balance and texture. Located in San Patricio del Chañar in Neuquén Province, Bodega Malma was born from a pioneering winemaking project at the southern edge of Argentina, quickly earning acclaim for its high-quality wines. Founded in 2004 and run by the Viola family, the winery is fuelled by a deep passion for Patagonia and its distinctive terroirs. In collaboration with consulting enologist Hans Vinding-Diers, Bodega Malma has carefully crafted its portfolio while exploring the potential of each micro-terroir for different grape varieties. Guided by a philosophy of sharing Patagonia with the world, the winery brings the region’s unique character to life in every bottle. 

Named in honour of the family's first generation who sought their prosperity in Patagonia, the Chacra La Papay collection showcases Bodega Malma’s commitment to producing wines of substance without compromising approachability.

This fruit-forward style of Malbec shows bright aromas of raspberries, crunchy plums and cherries on the nose. The palate echoes the bright red fruit, revealing delicate violet florals and hints of vanilla spice from gentle oak ageing. The Piazzo winery’s story began in the 1960s in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio, Alba, when newlyweds Armando Piazzo and Gemma Veglia, from farming families, invested in the Langhe, a region not yet recognized for its premium wines. Despite post-war challenges, they saw the area’s potential and focused on Nebbiolo, a varietal now renowned globally. Their first wine, made from Nebbiolo, was released in 1979, and by 1982 it was labeled as Barbaresco. In 1985, with the involvement of their daughter Marina and her husband Franco, the family launched their first Barolo, solidifying the winery’s reputation. Continuing under Marina & family's management, their philosophy blends tradition with innovation, producing wines that authentically reflect the Langhe and Roero regions.

Barbaresco Pajorè is the latest addition to the Estate's collection and is a true expression of a renowned cru in Treiso, one of the four villages in the Barbaresco DOCG region. Named after the farmhouse at the center of the vineyard, “Pajorè” is derived from the local dialect term for its former owner, Peirolero. The lime and clay-rich soils, though low in nutrients, produce small yields that result in fruit packed with complex aromas. This Barbaresco is intense and aromatic with floral hints of roses, subtle spice, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it opens fruity, followed by a dry, tannic structure with a long, rewarding finish.

Extrait consists of 50% Roussanne and 50% Grenache Blanc. The Roussanne for Extrait comes from a very specific plot and the vines are over 40 years old. For a wine this unctuous and textured, the palate shows remarkable balance and freshness. Aromas of apricot, peach and citrus are complemented by some perfumed florals and well integrated, savoury oak. The finish is incredibly long and fresh.

The Schild Family have been grape growers in the Barossa Valley since 1952. Growing the estate from one vineyard to over 134ha across 11 precious sites, their generational wisdom and knowledge of the land allows for premium fruit to flourish each vintage. Their Estate Wine label was created as a small side project and quickly grew in reputation and is now loved worldwide.

Sourced from the single-vineyard Liebich site, perched high in the hills behind the township of Rowland Flat, this wine captures both the richness and vitality of its elevated origin. The nose is reminiscent of creamy, freshly scraped vanilla pod and a mélange of dark berry compote draw. On the palate, flavours of satsuma plum and blackberry are layered with classic notes of coffee bean and subtle pepper spice. Its pleasing depth and gentle chewiness speak to the quality of the fruit, while a lift of fresh acidity brings balance and energy. The fruit flows seamlessly across the back palate, framed by well-integrated tannins that will continue to soften and evolve with time in the cellar.

Founded in 2014 around a dining table at Norwood’s Queen Street, C.W. Wines has grown from humble beginnings into one of Australia’s most successful family-owned wine businesses. With a portfolio spanning the Limestone Coast, McLaren Vale, and the Barossa, their vineyards and sourced fruit cover a wide range of beloved varietals, all processed at their state-of-the-art Stonehaven Winery. Originally built by Constellation Brands in the late 90s, the facility was acquired by C.W. Thompson Steer draws its name from the winding lakes and gently rolling fields that surround its vineyards in the country town of Mundulla where its grapes are grown. 

The Limestone Coast Cab opens with fragrant aromas of ripe cassis, dark plum, and black cherry, layered with hints of cedar and fresh mint that add a cooling lift. Full-bodied, it features rounded, blossoming tannins and balanced acidity, while the liqueur-like fruit is refined by oak aging, enhancing structure and depth without being overpowering. The finish is long and resonant, with sappy fruit framed by subtle notes of cocoa powder and dried tobacco.
