Earthy & Floral

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

A blend of fruit from 4 different Vineyards from 3 different sub-appellations, this wine explodes out of the glass with wonderful strawberry, raspberry, mulberry, and bing cherry followed closely by sugar beet, tobacco leaf, moss and fresh soil. The balance, coolness and bright acidity of the 2023 vintage is immediately evident, yet with extra air it starts to show more fullness and roundness than might be expected. The incredibly supple mouthfeel, medium body and balanced acidity frame exceptional flavour intensity, leading to a long, sweeping finish that ends on a decidedly mineral and crunchy note.  This wine is great now with a generous decant but will also age well for 3-4 years.

Pair this Pinot Noir with smoky glazed ham or grilled salmon. 

Juicy & Elegant

The Baud estate dates back to 1742, today the 9th generation manages the winery. Siblings Clementine and Bastien, both under 30, are making some of the best value wines in the area. Jura is that narrow valley in the remote hills between Burgundy and Switzerland, which millions of years ago was covered by an Ocean and today still bares many of the fossils from that time. If you kick a stone in a Jura vineyard, it will probably be a fossil.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this delicate sparkling wine was made using méthode champenoise and was aged 12 months on the lees. Light pink in colour with persistent bubbles, in the glass it expresses notes of strawberry wafers, red currants, and blood orange. On the palate, it has fine bubbles and freshness.

Enjoy it as an aperitif or have it with pastries and desserts.

Led by wine and cheesemaker Glenn Symons, Lighthall Vineyards is proud to make products that reflect the unique qualities of Prince Edward County. The winery specializes in low-intervention winemaking using grapes grown from their 63 acres of limestone-rich vineyards. They are known for high-quality chardonnay, pinot noir, and exceptional sparkling wines.

A delicious expression of County sparkling wine. Made with 100% vidal grapes, the bubbles are created using the Charmat method to preserve the wine’s bright, youthful fruit. Progression features smooth, persistent bubbles and fresh, vibrant acidity. This sparkling displays aromatics of white grapefruit and green apple peel with delicate floral notes which are repeated on the palette.

Served well chilled, Progression is perfect as an aperitif but also plays nicely as the main event.

Juicy & Fresh

Keint-He Winery & Vineyards is a boutique winery located in Prince Edward County. The winery has a strong focus on varietals that are typically grown in Burgundy, specifically Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; through which they truly express the best of the County with wonderful individual expressions. Keint-He’s approach to winemaking is as down-to-earth as it gets and their quality is second to none.

This delicate, dry rose is bursting with fruit, both on the nose and palate. Vibrant cherry and strawberry are immediately present on the nose, transitioning to strawberry and fresh watermelon at the forefront of the palate. Nuttiness and ripe raspberry are followed by a finish of refreshing acidity. 

Food and patio friendly - enjoy with summer salads, grilled chicken and salmon, or holiday meals like turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing.

Leaning Post's goal for their Sauvignon Blanc is to reflect the unique Niagara terroir and this wine always delivers. 

Very intense tropical aromas of pineapple, passionfruit and mango lead to kiwi, lemongrass and lime-leaf on the nose. The palate has bright acidity matched by a creamy texture, with key-lime and starfruit battling with passionfruit for supremacy, while lemongrass and honeysuckle stand back and watch. The finish is the most surprising, with the flintiest, most “wet stones in a mountain stream” minerality we have ever seen on our Sauvignon Blanc!

Drink now or over the next 3 years. Enjoy with pan-fried halibut, fresh pesto; anchovy-paste pasta, or lemon herb roasted chicken. 

Honeysuckle & Minerality

RR81 stands for 'Regional Road 81' - the road The Farm sits on, and a main artery through wine country. The RR81 approach to winemaking is simply fermented grapes with nothing added. One-off wines sourced from some of the best single vineyards in Niagara. These wines are made in the barn at The Farm with minimal intervention (just a few bins and an old basket press). The result equals some of the best, and most unique, wines coming out of Niagara.

Naturally fermented, unfined and unfiltered. The grapes were handpicked on October 5th, and fermented with whole cluster. It was then pressed into neutral French oak barrels and aged on primary lees. Only 4 barrels made.

Drinks like an early spring day, with swirling aromas of honeysuckle, sweet corn and fresh herbs intermingling in the sunshine. The nose is alluringly mineral, greeting you with an unapologetic ode to limestone.

The Moreau family has been settled in the heart of Chablis since 1884. Louis Moreau, the sixth generation, studied oenology and viticulture in California and took over from his father when he returned to France in 1994. Nowadays, the domaine's vineyards extend all over the four levels of the appellation: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru.

What makes Chablis so exceptional? Evidently, the composition of the soils. The limestone soils of the Chablis appellation were formed in the upper Jurassic era, or Kimmeridgian; and contain lots of fossilized oyster shells that add a great complexity, volume and structure to the wine. On the palate, this Chablis is especially floral, and displays fresh aromas of apple and pear. On the palate, it has a vibrant mineral expression, balanced by a textured roundness and finesse.

Perfect to accompany with seafood, such as oysters or lobster risotto.
