Softly-textured wine from an estate in Lussac-Saint-Emilion. Moulin Noir consists of seven hectares of vineyards on a good clay and limestone site. The wine is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc and is aged 12 months in oak.

This notably complex right bank blend from a satellite appellation of Saint-Emilion offers appealing savoury notes along with a mineral, iron component and liquorice spice. The oak treatment is wonderfully integrated with wood spice elevating the bright red fruit. Harmoniously matured, graceful and very elegant. The staying power of the finish is impressive. Drinking very well now.

The high content of Merlot in this wines makes it perfect with spicy Asian dishes like Korean hotpots or Chinese food. It also pairs nicely with roasted lamb or duck terrines and with fatty cheeses like Comté.

Classy & Complex

Château Les Paruades is located in Macau en Médoc, on the foothills of the Margaux appellation and on the edge of the Gironde. The estate covers an area of 3.5 hectares with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc planted on clayey palus soil.  The vinification process follows the traditional methods of the Médoc, with total destemming and fermentation in stainless steel and concrete vats.

Classy and complex, this wine opens with delicate aromas of rose petals, black fruits, and subtle mineral nuances. The palate is rich and layered, revealing concentrated notes of ripe blueberries, blackberries, and black cherries. Well-structured and balanced, it is supported by firm tannins and medium acidity, leading to a smooth, elegant finish with good persistence.

Try pairing with beef, lamb, or other grilled meats, or a variety of vegetable-based preparations.

Delivery timeline:
We require one full case of each wine in order to build and fulfill three mixed cases. This process usually takes about 10-15 business days but may vary.

This mixed case features three delicious Bordeaux reds to embark on a journey of the region. Travel through the winding roads of the left bank with Château Les Paruades, jump to the right bank when uncorking the Château du Moulin Noir, and savour the delights and gravelly, sandy, and silty soils of Côtes de Bordeaux with Château Haut Grelot.

A case includes 4 bottles of each wine.

This classic Bordeaux blend features 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, cultivated in the gravelly, sandy, and silty soils of Côtes de Bordeaux. Exhibiting a deep ruby hue, its bouquet reveals vibrant red berry aromas complemented by vanilla and spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth, fruit-forward, and well-structured, making it an excellent companion to game or red meat dishes.

Joan Ramón Escoda has been shaking the pillars of natural winemaking in his home-country and abroad since the 90's. He is an absolute anarchist, a radical winemaker, a rock'n'roller and a grass-roots innovator; and his wines are anything but banal. Natural wine enthusiasts, step right up. 

Nas del Gegant is a rustic blend of Cabernet Franc, Cariñena, Garnacha, and Merlot aged in amphora and utterly unique with wild herb, savory notes integrated with deep, dark earthy fruit. It somehow tastes ancient and fresh simultaneously. Full-bodied, fruity. A big wild wine with lots of fruit, character, and structure to hold up against the lush palate. This natural wine finishes slightly off-dry but remains balanced.

Decant for best flavour. Pair with BBQ, highly spiced roast meats, rich stews.

The philosophy of winemaker/proprietor Max de Pourtalès is not to make overly extracted wines, but rather to make fine and elegant expressions of place. Surrounded by their team and oenologists Eric Boissenot and Emilio de Longhi, Max and Astrid de Pourtalès create perfectly balanced wines that reflect the vintage and reveal the identity of the wine of Château Doyac.

This Cru Bourgeois Supérieur is a formidable red wine that captures the essence of the Haut-Médoc terroir. Deep ruby in color and vibrant aromas of dark berries, cassis, and subtle oak. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious balance of ripe fruit flavors, fine tannins, and a touch of spice, leading to a long and elegant finish.

Perfect for special occasions, Château Doyac pairs wonderfully with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.

Bold & Juicy

Sourced from the estate’s 16-hectare vineyard, the Closerie Saint Roc is a blend composed of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Crafted according to a holistic, ecosystem-based philosophy incorporating agrobiology, biodynamics (Ecocert and Demeter certified), agroforestry, and permaculture principles, the grapes are hand-harvested and fermented by infusion with indigenous yeasts, without synthetic products. The wine is aged for 24 months in mature oak casks and bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving its purity and sense of place.

A deep garnet in the glass, the Closerie Saint Roc impresses with notes of dark fruit and a hint of minerality. A modern Bordeaux style that focuses on clear fruit quality.

Pairs perfectly with braised beef cheeks, lamb, or aged Comté or Manchego.

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

Cuvée Heritage is the third vintage of our flagship red blend, but the first called Heritage – in homage to Ilya & Nadia’s Ukrainian heritage, and with an intention of building a heritage of tremendous red blends at Leaning Post.
