Intense & Rich

Established in 2001 by Julien Montagné and his family. Clos del Rey is located in the heart of the Maury appellation in the Roussillon. Although Maury is best known for its sweet, port-like wines, Clos del Rey only produces dry red wines now produced as AOC Maury Sec.

Le Sabina is an old bush vine cuvée of grenache, carignan and syrah grown on very stony, black schist soils. This engaging red is a concentrated, aromatic, flavourful wine, with a pure essence of blackberry and blueberry fruit, sweet and resinous wild herbs, scorched earth and liquorice. A highly satisfying and bold ensemble. Tannins are abundant but coated and softened by highly intense fruit extract. Great length as noted by Master Sommelier John Szabo.

This wine is great with BBQ meats, lamb, beef, you name it.

Rich & Bold

Finca Aylés is located in the northeast of Spain, near the city of Zaragoza, halfway between Madrid and Barcelona.  The wine project of the Ramón Reula family began its journey in the 1980s and ended with the reunification of various properties that had belonged to the Finca Aylés since the Middle Ages. Today, Aylés is one of the largest private historical farms in Aragón.  

Attractive deep cherry red in colour. The wine displays a pronounced intensity on the nose, well defined, with an extraordinarily complex and wide range of aromas; think dark red fruits, ink, and spices.  On the palate the wine is clearly defined by its elegance and ripe fruit intensity. It's harmonious and well balanced leading to a rich finish. 

It's the perfect wine to pair with rich meats and anything on the BBQ.

Bold & Earthy

Casa Los Frailes (“Cals Frares” in  the old local language) takes their name from the Jesuit Friars that used to live in the Estate over two centuries (XVII to XVIII). The Casa Los Frailes estate now belongs to the Velázquez family and has for over 250 years, today the 13th generation runs the winery. Frontrunners in organic agriculture and biodynamics, the estate consists of vineyards, Mediterranean forest, almond and olive trees.

A blend of Monastrell and Syrah, its personality makes it a dark, warm and complex wine. On the nose, it has intense aromas of red fruits, jam, cherries and plums; paired with smoky tones, notes of liquorice and coffee. On the palate, the fruit perfectly blends with the oak, showing sweet tannins followed by a round, rich and deep structure.

This bold wine begs for rich foods, that's why we recommend beef short ribs, lentils, shiitake and portobello mushrooms, lamb, rabbit, soy sauce and black pepper... Adding herbs to your dishes such as thyme, lavender and rosemary will also enhance the floral character of the wine.

Spicy & Bold

Expect the unexpected with this delicious Garnacha from Aragón! It exhibits a dense ruby/purple-tinged colour as well as delicious, crunchy black cherry and raspberry fruit with notions of cocoa & vanilla thanks to a slight stay in oak barrels. It's medium to full bodied, pure, fruity and savoury. 

It's the perfect wine to pair with rich meats and anything on the BBQ. For something really special, try it with Smoked Pork Carnitas.

Rich & Fruity

Cantine Paradiso is located is the South of Italy, in the region of Puglia. Angelo Paradiso, the third generation of winemakers in the family, manages the vineyards and the winery.

This wine is a blend of Nero di Troia and Primitivo, two native grapes to Puglia. It has an intense purple colour in the glass. On the nose, it delivers pronounced notes of ripe dark fruit, hints of spices and some floral notes. The palate is juicy with soft tannins and a really nice acidity. It is a very easy-drinking and enjoyable wine.

This wine pairs perfectly with tomato-based dishes: pasta bolognese, veal parmigiana, pizza... But would also be a great pairing with curries and spicy barbecue dishes too!

Soft & Creamy

Just across the Rhône river from the beautiful vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Lirac appellation extends over the low hills alongside the river.

This is a blend of Marsanne, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Picpoul. The grapes are hand-picked and aged for 8 months in oak barrels.

This wine is creamy and lush, with hints of honeyed tangerine, melon and lime. Backed by a palate that's medium to full-bodied, slowly fading in intensity on the finish. A great example of how deliciously amazing Lirac can be.

What to drink with a Lirac Blanc? This wine and the mediterranean flavours of Bouillabaisse are a super match! It also pairs beautifully with poulet au citron et lavande (Lemon Lavender Chicken), another iconic recipe from the south of France.

Bold & Floral

Located on the hills that rise from the Adriatic Sea and neighbouring the coastal town of Vasto in Abruzzo, the Jasci family has been growing grapes and producing wine for three generations. In 1980, the family decided to convert the farm to organic, becoming one of the first ten wineries in all of Italy to be certified. 

This vegan-certified wine is made from hand-picked Montelpulciano grapes cultivated at 250 meters in the sunny hills of Abruzzo. The healthy grapes macerate on the skins for 15 days and age in concrete tanks. Expect intense floral aromas of violet on the nose that intermingle with fruity notes of strawberry and black currant, backed with fragrant hints of cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate is full-bodied, round and with a long fruity aftertaste.

This bold Montepulciano d'Abruzzo pairs well with flavourful dishes, such as hoisin and balsamic glazed lamb chops or seared mushrooms with garlic and thyme.

Silky & Rich

Ca del Monte is situated on the hillsides overlooking the village of Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella. This Ripasso shows a pure red-berry and black-cherry bouquet with notes of grilled herbs, iris, violet and almond. With a great depth of flavour, the wine is silky and warm with a surprisingly elegant mid-weight mouth feel that finishes with plump fruit and a well integrated spicy/oak kiss. 

Pair this rich wine with game meats, roast chicken, wood oven pizza and pasta with full flavoured sauces. ​It is also amazing when served with aged cheeses.

Smooth & Spicy

The Puiggros family has been producing wines from their own vineyards in Odena since 1843 for friends and family, however their wines have only been available commercially since 2008. Working exclusively with Garnatxas, the family came to realize that their traditional techniques and special terroir were something worth sharing with the rest of the world.

Exedra Negre is made exclusively with Garnatxa planted on limestone and clay soils, at 500 meters above sea level, with a breath-taking view to the beautiful mountains of Montserrat, in the outskirts of the village of Odena. A portion of the wine ferments and ages in amphora, while the other part does the fermentation in large concrete tanks.

This Catalan red is fresh and delightful, with aromas of red berries, delicate hints of spices and a note of sub-bois. On the palate is juicy and light, with smooth tannins and a great acidity.

Perfect to pair with stews and braises of all kinds.

Mature & Rich

Ca del Monte is situated on the hillsides overlooking the village of Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella. Ca’ Del Monte’s Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico’s is a dark angel of sorts.

Expect stewed fruit, over-ripened plums, clove and baking spice, there is also pronounced vanilla and toasted notes. The palate is concentrated, with notes of prune, raisin, chocolate, rich fruit and warm spices. To sum up, full bodied, lifting acidity, smooth tannins and a rich finish.

Like the wine, big and strong foods pair best. Try it with stufato (meat and vegetable stew) or a beef tenderloin with a truffle butter sauce. Or keep it simple with seasoned cheeses.

Rich & Spicy

The origin of Château Lamartine goes back to 1883, when Lise and Benjamin’s great grand father acquired a piece of land and started to farm grapes and sell wine in barrels. The winery holds the 'Haute Valeur Environnementale' certificate in sustainability, and are right now in their third year of organic conversion.

The Cahors AOP is right in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean sea. We could say that it’s the heart of the South West. Due to its geographic situation, the appellation has a particular microclimate, which is perfect for Malbec.

This is a rich wine with powerful tannins. It has ripe dark blue and black fruit notes with a touch of vanilla.  While the tannins are full the wine has a great acid backbone to maintain the structure.

This is a top value, structured and succulent red that is ready to sip alongside some salty, fatty protein.

Raised amidst the vineyards, Alexandre Favier is part of a long line of winemakers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. His grandfather, Noël Sabon, hails from one of the region’s most renowned winemaking families. Alexandre began his viticultural studies at the age of fifteen in Orange, completing his exams by 2001. Just a year later, at the age of twenty, he assumed full winemaking responsibilities at Domaine Chante Cigale when his father’s health declined. Today, Domaine Chante Cigale stands as one of the most important family estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

The Cicada Blanc is an unusual yet harmonious blend of Grenache Blanc (40%), Viognier (30%), and Picpoul Blanc (30%). The Grenache Blanc and Picpoul are sourced from clay-limestone soils in Richerenches, Vaucluse, while the Viognier comes from the Northern Rhône. Vinified in stainless steel with a short one-week maceration, the result is an easy-drinking, unoaked French table wine with citrus and pear aromas, a soft, rounded palate, and a silky mineral finish.

Savour this delicious wine with Coconut flavoured Thai and Vietnamese dishes, or as a delicious foil to barbecued or grilled mackerel.

Floral & Funky

Joan Ramón Escoda has been shaking the pillars of natural winemaking in his home-country and abroad since the 90's. He is an absolute anarchist, a radical winemaker, a rock'n'roller and a grass-roots innovator; and his wines are anything but banal. Natural wine enthusiasts, step right up. 

The heart of this wine is Cabernet Franc, complemented with 20% Parellada, a local white grape of great aromatic refinement. Hand harvested and partially destemmed, the grapes were macerated and fermented together in clay amphorae using only indigenous yeasts. This natural red wine was then aged for 7 months on lees in the amphorae.

Rustic, raw and pleasantly wild, this wine could need some aeration to unfurl. Some earthy and mineral notes, evolving into a fleshy red fruit gently nuanced by flowers, herbs and spice. A remarkably original unrefined blend; delicately warm, but also full of energy and confidence. Some succulent red fruit, a note of cocoa and bitter herbs, and a first-rate acidity make for a very fresh no added sulphites wine. Gentler and more engaging than ever, this wine from Escoda-Sanahuja has a long finish with a mineral and pithy aftertaste.

Pair it with roasted red meats and cured cheeses.

A breakout star in the Etna DOC of Sicily, Tornatore has become one of the region's largest and most respected wineries. Established back in 1865, the estate continues to be run by the same family who have acted as the faithful custodians of the land for generations. Tending to high altitude vineyards on the north side of the active volcano, the conditions are ideal for indigenous grape varieties to thrive. The wines are distinctive bottlings which encapsulate the essence of Mount Etna and effortlessly reveal the unique characteristics that make the region one to watch.

Etna Rosso is the signature style red of the area, made from local Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes. Bright ruby in the glass revealing aromas of red berries and morello cherries overlayed with sweet and savoury spices. Tannins glide over the deceptively weighted palate and interweave with brightly supported fruit notes of wild strawberries and delicate florals. Refreshing acidity keeps the fruit from feeling heavy, and rather lends itself to to this elegant and uplifting style.

Floral & Mineral

Signes del Priorat is Puiggros' first experience in the Priorat. A very limited edition of 600 bottles, made exclusively with Carinyena grapes planted on the steep slopes of the Porrera area. The slate soil on the slopes is known as llicorella ("licorice," due to its dark color) and is the main feature of the soil's terroir and the success of its native grapes.

The region's infertile soil imparts a characteristic minerality to the wine. On the nose, the wine has aromas of lavender and eucalyptus, that mingle with hints of candied fruit, rosemary, caramel and liquorice. Many of the vines harvested for this wine are old and produce low yields, which contributes to the wine's intensity on the palate.

Pair this wine with grilled meats or vegetables, something that will stand up to the tannins in the wine is key here. Avoid chili heat, as alcohol content enhances these flavours.

Nestled at the foot of the hillside in Aloxe-Corton, Château Corton Frey stands as one of Burgundy’s most iconic landmarks. Built in the late 19th century atop 15th-century cellars, this historic estate is the region’s most photographed site after the Hospices de Beaune. Legend holds that Emperor Charlemagne once owned vineyards here in the 8th century, planting Chardonnay to preserve the whiteness of his beard.

The estate’s seven hectares span thirteen prestigious appellations, forming part of Burgundy’s intricate mosaic of climats, where the expression of terroir has been honed over centuries. Under the ownership of Caroline Frey, a highly regarded oenologist and winegrower, Château Corton Frey brings together Burgundian tradition with a sustainable, precision-driven philosophy. With intentionally limited production, each wine is crafted to reflect the purity and character of its origin.

Within the commune of Auxey-Duresses, the climat Le Val—meaning “valley” or “hollow”—denotes the narrow depression that extends from the Côte de Beaune into the Hautes Côtes.

Le Val 2020 shows a warm garnet hue and an inviting aromatic profile that gently unfolds in the glass, revealing rose petal florals with bright cherry and plum highlights. On the palate, it's full and rounded, with finely woven tannins and uplifting acidity that lend a sense of measured restraint, allowing the stone fruit flavours to shine through the soft oak spice. Gently settling into a peppery finish, revealing an overall style of understated charm.

The Cortonesi family has been a cornerstone of the Montalcino region for decades. Established in the 1970s, their estate spans 138 acres in one of the area's most storied regions, with 19 acres dedicated to producing world-class Brunello. The family began commercially selling their wine in 1985, and today, third-generation winemaker Tommaso Cortonesi continues the tradition. Tommaso combines his long-standing family traditions with modern technologies to craft some of the finest expressions of Tuscan Sangiovese. 

Abundant in character, the Cortonesi Brunello di Montalcino La Mannella Riserva beautifully reflects the warm, sunny, and luminous 2019 growing season. Layers of dark plum, black cherry, and cassis are complemented by notes of sweet spice, tobacco, and balsamic herbs. The Piazzo winery’s story began in the 1960s in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio, Alba, when newlyweds Armando Piazzo and Gemma Veglia, from farming families, invested in the Langhe, a region not yet recognized for its premium wines. Despite post-war challenges, they saw the area’s potential and focused on Nebbiolo, a varietal now renowned globally. Their first wine, made from Nebbiolo, was released in 1979, and by 1982 it was labeled as Barbaresco. In 1985, with the involvement of their daughter Marina and her husband Franco, the family launched their first Barolo, solidifying the winery’s reputation. Continuing under Marina & family's management, their philosophy blends tradition with innovation, producing wines that authentically reflect the Langhe and Roero regions.

Barbaresco Pajorè is the latest addition to the Estate's collection and is a true expression of a renowned cru in Treiso, one of the four villages in the Barbaresco DOCG region. Named after the farmhouse at the center of the vineyard, “Pajorè” is derived from the local dialect term for its former owner, Peirolero. The lime and clay-rich soils, though low in nutrients, produce small yields that result in fruit packed with complex aromas. This Barbaresco is intense and aromatic with floral hints of roses, subtle spice, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it opens fruity, followed by a dry, tannic structure with a long, rewarding finish.

Extrait consists of 50% Roussanne and 50% Grenache Blanc. The Roussanne for Extrait comes from a very specific plot and the vines are over 40 years old. For a wine this unctuous and textured, the palate shows remarkable balance and freshness. Aromas of apricot, peach and citrus are complemented by some perfumed florals and well integrated, savoury oak. The finish is incredibly long and fresh.

Julien Bonneau, (Château Haut Grelot in the Blayais), and his friend Alexandre Lavigne, restaurateur in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, created in 2014 a range of wines, Grains d'Estuaire, from a 10 ha vineyard located in Saint-Bonnet-sur-Gironde, in the south of Charente-Maritime.

Crafted from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and produced at a yield of 40 hectoliters per hectare. The vines thrive in gravelly-sandy loam soils on the Agrières hillsides, near the estuary, which contribute to the wine’s distinctive character and structure. Vinification is carried out entirely in barrels, ensuring a meticulous expression of the grape and terroir. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 16 months in 225-liter barrels, allowing it to develop depth, complexity, and refined balance. On the nose, it reveals woody, vanilla, and toasty aromas complemented by the freshness of red fruits. The palate is powerful and full-bodied, with enveloping tannins and a long, aromatic finish.

Named after the Piedmontese dialect term Punset, meaning “beautiful hill” or “point,” this historic estate in Neive was once noted by the Counts of Castelborgo for rising above the region’s autumn mists. Family-owned for generations, the winery officially began bottling commercially in 1964 under Renzo Marcarino, before Marina Marcarino led its transformative shift to certified organic farming in the early 1980s. Today, guided by biodynamic principles and a deep respect for natural balance, the estate is known for its minimally interventionist approach, grass-covered vineyards, and thriving biodiversity that work in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem.

Produced from a 1-hectare parcel in the San Cristoforo cru, Punset’s Campo Quadro Riserva sits alongside the estate’s Basarin Riserva, though the two are vinified in distinct styles.

In the glass, it shows an elegant, structured profile with an intense colour and a complex aromatic range that unfolds from ripe fruit to more delicate floral tones, layered with spice, chocolate and subtle buttery notes. It evolves continuously with air, offering persistent, layered drinking pleasure. A highly complex and refined Barbaresco, it promises excellent longevity and will reward careful cellaring.

The Schild Family have been grape growers in the Barossa Valley since 1952. Growing the estate from one vineyard to over 134ha across 11 precious sites, their generational wisdom and knowledge of the land allows for premium fruit to flourish each vintage. Their Estate Wine label was created as a small side project and quickly grew in reputation and is now loved worldwide.

Sourced from the single-vineyard Liebich site, perched high in the hills behind the township of Rowland Flat, this wine captures both the richness and vitality of its elevated origin. The nose is reminiscent of creamy, freshly scraped vanilla pod and a mélange of dark berry compote draw. On the palate, flavours of satsuma plum and blackberry are layered with classic notes of coffee bean and subtle pepper spice. Its pleasing depth and gentle chewiness speak to the quality of the fruit, while a lift of fresh acidity brings balance and energy. Phantom Creek Estates, located on the renowned Black Sage Bench in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, is celebrated for its single-vineyard Bordeaux reds, expressive Alsace-inspired whites, and the region’s signature Viognier and Syrah. Founded by Richter Bai with the acquisition of the famed Becker and Phantom Creek Vineyards in 2016, the estate combines a passion for Bordeaux-style wines with a commitment to excellence. Today, under the guidance of Olivier Humbrecht MW, its vineyards are 100% certified organic and farmed biodynamically. By emphasizing individual vineyards and grape varieties, Phantom Creek Estates crafts wines that capture the unique character of their terroir while showcasing the distinct aromas and flavours of each variety, resulting in wines of remarkable clarity, complexity, and depth—a truly singular tasting experience.

Notorious throughout the Okanagan for its challenges, the 2021 vintage was marked by an exceptionally hot summer, prompting periodic vine shutdowns due to extreme temperatures. Careful selection and early harvesting were essential, yielding smaller berries with intensely ripe flavours and remarkable concentration.

Originally built by Constellation Brands in the late 90s, the facility was acquired by C.W. Thompson Steer draws its name from the winding lakes and gently rolling fields that surround its vineyards in the country town of Mundulla where its grapes are grown. 

The Limestone Coast Cab opens with fragrant aromas of ripe cassis, dark plum, and black cherry, layered with hints of cedar and fresh mint that add a cooling lift. Full-bodied, it features rounded, blossoming tannins and balanced acidity, while the liqueur-like fruit is refined by oak aging, enhancing structure and depth without being overpowering. The finish is long and resonant, with sappy fruit framed by subtle notes of cocoa powder and dried tobacco.

Founded by Richter Bai with the acquisition of the famed Becker and Phantom Creek Vineyards in 2016, the estate combines a passion for Bordeaux-style wines with a commitment to excellence. Today, under the guidance of Olivier Humbrecht MW, its vineyards are 100% certified organic and farmed biodynamically. Crafted from Cabernet Franc grapes sourced from the Black Sage and Golden Mile Benches, the 2022 Estate release is abundant and expressive. Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

The 2020 vintage of our Merlot captures the essence of a warm year in the cool-climate terroir of the Niagara Lakeshore. This sub-appellation’s proximity to Lake Ontario tempers the summer heat, preserving fresh acidity and allowing the fruit to ripen slowly and evenly.
