Heirloom Vineyards was born in the 2000 vintage, when a young winemaking student caught the attention of an experienced wine judge—an unexpected spark that grew into a shared vision. Together, they made two enduring commitments: to honour the best of old-world tradition and the heritage of their cherished vineyards, and to champion superior clones of each variety planted in the most suitable sites, all while embracing organic farming principles. After seven patient vintages of experimentation, refinement, and unwavering dedication, they finally crafted a wine worthy of being passed on to future generations. This is that wine.

A lifted bouquet of mulberry, cassis, and ripe blackberries opens the nose, followed by shades of dried tobacco leaf and pencil shavings. The palate is marked by a striking balance of dark berry freshness and a meticulously structured tannin frame. Subtle oak notes of sarsaparilla complement bright spearmint accents, all dovetailing seamlessly into a long, sapid finish.

Given this wine’s structure, it shines alongside richly textured, succulent meats. Think pork ribs, a classic Scotch fillet, or a high-quality butcher’s sausage - always a fine match for Cab Sauv.

Founded in 1917, Celler Masroig has over a century of history and is recognized as a benchmark of the Montsant DO in the Priorat region. The winery blends tradition with contemporary knowledge to craft wines that reflect the unique character of the terroir. Working primarily with Grenache and Carignan on the region’s red clay soils, the team emphasizes Carignan as the foundation of their wines, harnessing the soil and sunlight to achieve optimal ripeness. Guided by a deep connection to their land, Celler Masroig produces wines that express both the personality of the estate and the essence of its territory.

Sourced from vineyards in the southwest of Montsant from vines over 60 years old, the Sorts Vinyes Velles represents the winery’s flagship expression. Opening with expressive aromas of bright cherry and violet highlights, complemented by a complex bouquet of red and black fruit preserves with hints of black pepper, cloves, cocoa, and Mediterranean undergrowth. On the palate, it's warm and rounded, with ripe, supple tannins and a long, lingering finish.

The Moreau family has been settled in the heart of Chablis since 1884. Louis Moreau, the sixth generation, studied oenology and viticulture in California and took over from his father when he returned to France in 1994. Nowadays, the domaine's vineyards extend all over the four levels of the appellation: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru.

The 'Clos des Hospices dans les Clos', located in the Grand Cru Le Clos, belongs entirely to the Moreau family, and produces opulent and outstanding wines. On the nose, this wine is extremely expressive, with a very strong mineral character. The palate is vibrant with mineral too, showing impressive elegance and depth through the finish.

Powerful & Juicy

Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

The 2020 vintage of our Merlot captures the essence of a warm year in the cool-climate terroir of the Niagara Lakeshore. This sub-appellation’s proximity to Lake Ontario tempers the summer heat, preserving fresh acidity and allowing the fruit to ripen slowly and evenly.

For pairing this Merlot, think: roast turkey, beef short rib, or a rustic ratatouille! For braised meat pairings, try complementing Merlot’s boisterous fruit notes with chimichurri sauce.
