Trisaetum Winery is a family-owned winery in Oregon’s Willamette Valley founded by James and Andrea Frey in 2003. After purchasing a rocky site near McMinnville, the couple planted their first vineyard and later established a second estate on Ribbon Ridge, where the winery now stands. The winery’s philosophy is deeply influenced by James Frey’s background as an abstract expressionist painter, with a focus on minimal-intervention winemaking and allowing each vineyard site to express its unique character. Today, Trisaetum farms three estate vineyards and is known for its Pinot Noir, Riesling, and sparkling wines, all produced with an emphasis on sustainability, native ecosystems, and hand-crafted techniques. The winery remains fully family owned and operated, with both of the Freys’ children now involved in the business alongside the winery’s expanding wine and spirits programs.
