Rooted in a winemaking tradition spanning four generations, Les Vignobles Aubert has grown into one of the Southern Rhône’s leading family-run wine groups, uniting six estates and châteaux across the region’s left bank. Led today by Alain, Claude, Yves, Christine, Aurélien, and the next generation of the Aubert family, the group cultivates nearly 480 hectares across 11 Southern Rhône appellations, combining deep respect for terroir with a modern, quality-driven approach to viticulture and winemaking. From the historic vineyards of Plan de Dieu to the elevated freshness of Domaine Autrand and the recent addition of Château Saint-Jean, the family’s wines are recognized for their consistency, authenticity, and exceptional value.

The Château Le Grand Retour estate, acquired in 1999, lies within the Plan de Dieu AOC—an area defined by its vast beds of ancient Rhône river stones, where, as the Aubert family puts it, the vines “drink the sun and live on stones."

A classic blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, showing generous aromas of black cherry and raspberry, layered with hints of licorice and spice. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, with a balanced, complex finish. Altogether, it’s a wine that consistently punches above its weight.

Nestled at the foot of the hillside in Aloxe-Corton, Château Corton Frey stands as one of Burgundy’s most iconic landmarks. Built in the late 19th century atop 15th-century cellars, this historic estate is the region’s most photographed site after the Hospices de Beaune. Legend holds that Emperor Charlemagne once owned vineyards here in the 8th century, planting Chardonnay to preserve the whiteness of his beard.

The estate’s seven hectares span thirteen prestigious appellations, forming part of Burgundy’s intricate mosaic of climats, where the expression of terroir has been honed over centuries. Under the ownership of Caroline Frey, a highly regarded oenologist and winegrower, Château Corton Frey brings together Burgundian tradition with a sustainable, precision-driven philosophy. With intentionally limited production, each wine is crafted to reflect the purity and character of its origin.

The Savigny-lès-Beaune commune, one of the largest wine-growing villages in the Côte d'Or, boasts a rich and fascinating history. The term 'Les Guettotes', which lends itself as name to the Lieu-dit, dates back to the medieval period, referring to the lookout points once used to survey the countryside and protect travellers passing through the area.

The grapes for this wine come from a small, enclosed plot of approximately 1 hectare on a south-facing hillside. Brilliant ruby in colour, it offers an enticing bouquet of cherries and red currant, with subtle savoury nuances that support the ripeness of the fruit. Medium-weight yet powerful, the tannins are polished but present, while zesty acidity shapes the palate and balances the sweet fruit. The finish is long, leaving resounding notes of dried fruit and tea leaves.

The 'Les Petites Lolières' vineyard lies on a path that descends from the Combe des Buis towards the source of the Lauve River. Legend has it that this path was once used by wolves who came to drink there.

Showing a brilliant ruby colour with garnet highlights, the 2020 1er Cru is immediately compelling, offering ripe cherry and cranberry aromas, shaded with subtle notes of vanilla and rose petal. The palate is willowy yet well-structured, balancing gentle tannins and perfectly tart acidity with lush red fruit and sweet spice, all leading into a lasting, elegant finish.
