A lovely aromatic profile marked by freshness, with concentrated notes of raspberry and plum, and a touch of herbs alongside hints of vanilla and cedar. Structured, with firm, chalky tannins that will integrate further after a few years in the bottle. Drink within seven to nine years. (Tasted blind at NWAC 2026.)

Half cabernet franc red blend with (38) merlot, (7) cabernet sauvignon, (4) malbec, and (1) “other grapes.” Tannic beast mode of a Bordeaux blend, heavy wood and fuel, angular, triangulated and in the present strangulated by structure. Tough sledding ahead with years needed to soften the blows. Drink 2027-2030. Tasted blind at NWACs 2026, June 2026.

Intense menthol and dark fruit aromas segue to a tight and drying palate, showing both sapidity and salinity. There's freshness of acidity and purity of cool black and blue fruits in the background – but at present it remains veiled behind the wood. This needs time but will come good. Since last year, Fabio Motta has been under majority control of Agricole Gussalli Beretta, the historic arms manufacturers who already own several other wineries in Italy.
