The Cortonesi family has been a cornerstone of the Montalcino region for decades. Established in the 1970s, their estate spans 138 acres in one of the area's most storied regions, with 19 acres dedicated to producing world-class Brunello. The family began commercially selling their wine in 1985, and today, third-generation winemaker Tommaso Cortonesi continues the tradition. Tommaso combines his long-standing family traditions with modern technologies to craft some of the finest expressions of Tuscan Sangiovese.

Poggiarelli is a Grand Cru single vineyard of a little less than 5 acres located on the south-eastern side of Montalcino. This vibrant and well-structured wine offers bold aromas of cherry, leather, and earthy minerals, with a hint of balsam herbs. The palate shows a meaty richness, all the while remaining refined and balanced. Warm, building tannins support the concentrated fruit, leading to a long and lovely finish. This wine has a lot to offer as it matures and will be a great addition to any cellar.

With its complex and structured character, Brunello is always a solid accompaniment to cooked meats and firm cheeses.

This is a beautifully expressive Brunello from an outstanding vintage, now confidently hitting its stride. The nose is vibrant and layered, with classic aromas of spiced licorice and red cherry, complemented by subtle notes of fresh rosemary, cedar, and dried flowers. On the palate, it offers full weight and a smooth, seamless texture, with fine-grained tannins woven through a warm, elegant core of dried fruit. Rich and juicy, it showcases the signature succulence and length of Montalcino, with the structure and finesse to continue evolving gracefully for years to come.

Pair Brunello with bold, flavourful dishes such as oxtail, a nicely cooked steak, rich stews, or game served with mushroom-based sauces.

The story of Sanlorenzo begins in the late 19th century, when Lorenzo Ferretti settled in Rogarelli, southwest of Montalcino, and started a family that would remain tied to the land for generations. In 1950, his son Guido purchased neighbouring land from the Argiano estate, naming it SanLorenzo in his grandfather’s honour. Life in the countryside was challenging, but Guido’s son Bramante and his wife Adele chose to stay, sustaining the farm through livestock, olive trees, and a small vineyard for family use. A turning point came in the 1970s, when Fiorella, Bramante’s daughter, and her husband Paolo planted new vineyards alongside modern livestock operations, selling grapes to other wineries. In 1997, their son Luciano returned to SanLorenzo, inspired by Montalcino’s wine boom, and transformed the farm into a dedicated winery. Five hectares of vineyards were planted, the first vintage was released in 2003, and the family legacy continues today under the stewardship of Luciano and his sister Luciana.

From the best of SanLorenzo’s grapes and the perfect blend of land, vine and winery comes Brunello di Montalcino; great elegance and intensity capable of bringing out the best in itself over time. Vinified in steel casks, it's then aged in wooden casks for more than 2 years and then bottled and left to rest for another 4 months. The 2020 offers a complex bouquet of dried flowers, spices, and ripe fruit, with a deep garnet colour, firm yet refined tannins, and a long, satisfying finish.

Pairs beautifully with game, Fiorentina and Tagliata steaks, as well as aged pecorino cheese.

The Winery of Good Hope is more than just a winery - it's an approach. Along with making lively and approachable wines, this is a project that's fully accredited for environmental, ethical, and social upliftment practices. Wines are made in the prestigious wine-making region of Stellenbosch, in South Africa’s Cape of Good Hope.

Sourced from two mature Syrah vineyards, rooted in the decomposed granite soils of the Helderberg mountainside overlooking False Bay. These vineyards thrive in the cooling breezes of the famed Cape Doctor - the south-easterly wind that sweeps in from the nearby ocean. The rocky, gravelly terrain fosters balance and fine texture in the wines, which display restrained fruit, delicate spice, and subtle fynbos nuances.

This refreshing Cape Syrah opens with fragrant notes of rosemary and lavender layered over crushed black pepper and vibrant plum fruit. Elegant and softly textured yet carrying impressive intensity, it's medium-bodied with a lingering, tapering finish.

As at many family domaines with deep roots in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, vigneron Alexandre Favier was by his own account “raised in the vineyards”: Alexandre’s grandfather, Noël Sabon, is from one of the best known winemaking families in the region. Alexandre himself began his viticultural studies in Orange at the age of fifteen and passed the exams four years later in 2001. A year later (at age twenty!) he took over winemaking duties at the domaine when his father experienced health problems. Today, Domaine Chante Cigale is one of the most important family estates of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

This is a traditional house with 40 hectares of red grapes and 5 hectares of white. They have parcels in all of the main soil types of Châteauneuf and they vinify the top parcels separately. Only native yeasts are employed in the cellar.

A full-bodied white with rich, ripe pear fruit that develops into floral and herby peachiness. The wine has a long leesy character and fresh acidity. Attractive when young but worth leaving for a couple of years, which will allow the wine to develop some wonderful nutty and mineral notes.

Enjoy this white blend with grilled red mullet with charred onion and pine nuts.

Garage Wine Co was quite literally started in a garage in 2001, by Etobicoke expat Derek Mossman and his wife Pilar Miranda. Since then, the dynamic duo have chosen to revive old vineyards in marginalized Chilean communities. They work mostly in the regions of Maule and Itata where they make highly coveted wines.

Vigno stands for Viñadores de Carignan and is an association of producers whose goal is to create an appellation of origin for wines made from old Carignan vines that have been dry-farmed and bush-trained in the Maule Secano area.

The 2021 Vigno gives spice and mineral notes on the lifted nose, layered with vibrant red and blue fruit, gradually unfolding into hints of violet and rhubarb. The palate is concentrated yet lively, with energetic black raspberry, spice cake, and floral pastille flavours. A zesty, pleasantly bitter note of blood orange adds edge and tension through the finish. It glides to a smooth, sweet, and impressively long close, with lingering floral and spice tones and supple tannins lending structure and a gentle, persistent grip.

Wines made from Carignan are ideal with richer poultry dishes such as turkey or duck, roasted pork, or even a meaty beef brisket.

Wild blue and red berries lead the way, layered with dried flowers, white pepper, grilled herbs, and a touch of graphite. This full-bodied Syrah is flavourful yet fluid, brimming with juicy blue fruit, floral lift, and finely woven baking spices. Silky and refined with a spicy, impressively long finish, it carries depth without ever feeling heavy. A beautifully effortless expression from old, dry-farmed vines - sensual, engaging, and irresistibly drinkable now, though a few years in the cellar will only enhance its charm.

In 2013, husband & wife team Chris and Andrea Mullineux partnered with Analjit Singh (BAS) to establish Leeu Passant winery on the beautiful Leeu Estates in Franschhoek. The winery is dedicated to showcasing the South African landscape and climate, with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and community upliftment.
