The Baud estate dates back to 1742, today the 9th generation manages the winery. Siblings Clementine and Bastien, both under 30, are making some of the best value wines in the area. Jura is that narrow valley in the remote hills between Burgundy and Switzerland, which millions of years ago was covered by an Ocean and today still bares many of the fossils from that time. If you kick a stone in a Jura vineyard, it will probably be a fossil.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this delicate sparkling wine was made using méthode champenoise and was aged 12 months on the lees. Light pink in colour with persistent bubbles, in the glass it expresses notes of strawberry wafers, red currants, and blood orange. On the palate, it has fine bubbles and freshness.

Enjoy it as an aperitif or have it with pastries and desserts.

Fresh & Mineral - The Pinot Grigio Killer

Wines from Soave are made with the local grape Garganega. Cantina Tessari has its vineyards in the volcanic hills above il Castello di Soave, which is the original - or 'Classico' - wine growing area in Soave, the best vines are located here. 

Bine Longhe—named after the “long rows” (longhe) of vines in the Costalta vineyard—derives its character from grapes grown on 300-meter rows and harvested late in autumn, reflected in the label’s warm colors. Selected grapes are left to over-ripen for 20 days before being hand-picked, de-stemmed, and gently pressed into must. Fermentation occurs at a controlled 16–18°C in steel tanks over about 12 months, with extended lees contact and batonnage to enhance natural antioxidants like glutathione. Afterward, the wine rests in the bottle for at least another year, allowing full integration of its components and minimizing the need for added sulfites.

Bine Longhe is an intense, brilliant straw-yellow wine made from late-harvested grapes left to over-ripen for about 20 days in the vineyard. It offers refined herbaceous and balsamic aromas with floral and fruity notes, while its full, mineral flavor is enveloping and persistent, ending with a hint of bitter almond. Though Soave is naturally delicate, the vibrant acidity of Bine Longhe lends it versatility, pairing beautifully with complex dishes such as fish, white meats, sausages, aged cheeses, and even rich recipes like salmon, Bolognese lasagna, chicken curry, pumpkin risotto, or bigoli with sardines.

The arch that forms the rolling hills of the Tessari territory inspired the name Arcerus, an ancient toponym linked to the tradition and history of Brognoligo. A pure Garganega sparkling wine, it shines with a lively straw-yellow color and fine bubbles. It offers intense aromas of apple, elderflower, and chamomile, while the palate is fresh and persistent, featuring notes of bitter almond and a delicate perlage that highlights the grape’s mineral character.

Perfect with vegetarian dishes like fresh goat cheese or porcini risotto, it also pairs beautifully with white meats, sushi, grilled shellfish, and traditional fare such as gnocchi with tomato and Monte Veronese cheese.

Soft & Peppery

Stéphane Aviron can be considered a pioneer in his approach to winemaking in Beaujolais, however he would just tell you that he’s simply returning to the traditional practices that have always made fantastic Gamay wines. Sustainable viticulture, extremely old vines and classic Burgundian techniques.

The Morgon Côte du Py is Stéphane Aviron’s most structured, earthy wine, that is drinkable now and can age wonderfully for as much as ten years. The grapes are sourced from the slopes of an 1150-foot inactive volcano that is regarded as one of the top terroirs in all of Beaujolais. Vines face due south on a well-pitched hillside of volcanic soils with schist and blue stone.

The nose is refined and captivating, offering aromas of ripe berries layered with earthy and mineral undertones. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and balanced, showcasing vibrant crushed berry flavors that lead into a firm, well-defined finish. It pairs beautifully with red meats, hearty stews, French onion soup, soft cheeses, and dark chocolate.

Fleurie is one of the top crus in Beaujolais producing wines of deep fruit and great structure. Stéphane Aviron’s Fleurie is sourced from a family owned hillside vineyard on the western side of the appellation, “La Mandone.” This famed vineyard features very steep slopes with granite soils that requires all work and harvesting to be done by hand. The vines here are very old, between 55 and 90 years in age. 

A true Burgundy in many ways. This Fleurie shows very similar characteristics to a fine Moulin à Vent with abundant ripe almost macerated fruit and rich, structured tannins. This is a truly age-worthy Beaujolais.
